  1. I don’t know where you sail, but if you want PvP anytime just sail from the southern tip of Florida and go north. You will finds countless players on their way to US waters to farm PVP. You can also hang around Nassau in the Bahamas. It never takes long for a live player to show up there. Or, and I know this is crazy, go to the Patrol Zone.
  2. We all know this. That is what is broken. BR should have nothing to do with shallow, deep, color, or sexual orientation. BR=Battle Rating. In reality, is a ships battle performance do to its strengths and weaknesses, or do to the ports it can enter? So why should the Battle Rating of a ship be the determining factor on weather or not it can enter a port battle? when it is accepted that the only factor that bears on weather or not a ship can enter a SHALLOW water port battle, is weather or not a ship can sail in SHALLOW water, then the DEVELOPERS and PROGRAMMERS, of this fine game can then give the “Le Requirement” a BR of about 160 and still allow it in a shallow port battle. Then the Hercules could get a Battle Rating of about 150 and be able to enter shallow port battles. i am sorry if I was rude earlier. No excuse. This is so very frustrating that it is hard for people to understand that the BR of a ship actually means something and is critical to the game.
  3. Have you read anything in this entire thread? Your statement here is what is wrong, and what is being discussed. The BR of ships is BROKEN. The idea that all 6th rate ships need a BR of 80 so they can be in a shallow port battles is absolutely ridiculous and is one of the biggest causes of the problems with the Le Requin ( Le Requirement).
  4. Why separate shallow and deep water BR? If there was never a chance for those ships to be in the same battle then it would be fine. But shallow and deep ships are in same battle all the time. The BR of a ship has NOTHING to do with shallow or deep, or what “RATE” the ship is. The absolute and only consideration for BR should be a ships power in battle. With the BR balanced and correct, there could never be an OP ship. You could have a 7th Rate Cutter mounting 400 crew and 60 32 pound cannons. As long as the BR is reflected and the PvP rewards high enough for sinking, then the ship cannot be considered OP.
  5. Who really cares about the Cheaters? Cheaters will always find a way no matter what we do. We need to concern ourselves with the 90% that play for the fun and challenge. It is that 90% that deserves to be rewarded for their efforts in battle. The Cheaters are already getting rewards for no effort and will always have more in game than the average person.
  6. Read my original post guys. ADMIN said there was a set rotation but has yet to say what it is.
  7. I have asked in a few different threads and I still cannot get an answer. I asked if the patrol zones were random or in a fixed rotation. ADMIN answered and said fixed rotation. I then asked what that fixed rotation is. No answer. WHY? Is it a secret? I would really like to know so that I can get the most out of this game feature. so I ask again. What is the Patrol Zone rotation?
  8. It doesn’t work for the loser! It doesn’t work for the Indiaman player that got sunk.
  9. How many PvP marks awarded for a ship should be based purely on the BR of the ship. Of course for that to work the BR of all ships needs to be re-evaluated. Le Requin at 80 BR is a cruel joke. After a PvP battle, PvP marks should be distributed with only 2 considerations. 1. The Kill 2. Percentage of damage to ship. All players involved in the battle should get PvP marks based on percentage of damage done, win or lose the fight. It is a reward for taking part in the game! The better you do, the more damage inflicted, the better the reward. If you actually get the kill on a ship, you get additional rewards. As far as being exploited? There are cheaters in every walk of life. People will cheat for many many reasons. ANYTHING THAT IS MADE FOR A GAME, SOMEONE WILL FIND A WAY TO CHEAT IT AND SHARE IT WITH OTHERS. Why do we let these cheaters determine what is right and fair? If cheating or exploits were a non issue, how many people would be against giving rewards for losing a battle but still doing damage to the enemy?
  10. What to set the BR rating of a ship should only have one consideration. The power of the ship. The ability to enter a port battle should have only one consideration. Is the ship a shallow water ship or deep water ship? That is it. If a third rate ship is a horrible piece of junk, it might have a BR of 250. If a Le Requin has 350 crew, it might have a BR of 225. All that should matter to BR and PvP rewards is the power of the ship.
  11. There is no shortage in people running away right now, just to many inconclusive, hour and a half chase scenes
  12. With all the players on the Forums crying about not enough PvP opportunities I would think that they would be hiring Traders to lead them to gankers. If everyone is out looking for traders to sink for PvP then it would stand to reason that if you sail with traders you will find enemy to kill.😈
  13. While at fulls sails I agreed that more crew should be assigned to sails. Also more crew casualties when at full sail and sails are damaged. As far as repairs I am finding it hard to balance realism with playability. In real life a ship vs ship battle could take all day and into the night. There are times when the ships are not firing but evading and repairing. What really needs to be decided is if repairs in battle are adding to the game or taking away from the game. I believe that repairs and repair mods are to much a part of the game. I think they need to be toned down so that it is harder for a player to hit the repair button and slide away from the battle. Or worse be almost defeated, then be able to repair so much that they can fight all the way through until the next repair is available. My opinion, one repair per hull and rigging in a single battle.
  14. The account has more to do with the Dishonor and Dishonesty of the Barbers than anything else.
  15. This totally!!! I have been looking for more reasons to make someone quit the game. This will do it.
  16. The magic of repairs is definitely broken and something needs to be done. Rigging repairs while at full sails. No way. Perhaps if sailors are replacing some canvas then that canvas comes down for 10-15 seconds in game? The ship will initially slow down and then gain speed with the new canvas.
  17. It did not work because there was no limit on the number of allies or treaties. Everyone says the same thing. The world divided into two alliances. LIMIT the amount of treaties to one or two and that problem is gone.
  18. Who else are we trying to block from attacking??? Of course if A and B have an agreement it has nothing to do with C D E F G H of course players from other Nations could still attack.
  19. Simple, if Nation A has a trade agreement with Nation B, then players from Nation A and Nation B would have no option to tag each other’s trade ships. In that way some jerk player cannot screw it up for the rest. It is very realistic. Try going out on the high seas right now and attacking a British Freighter in your French Destroyer. See what happens.
  20. Because real trade agreements in our world never worked? I am baffled as to what is so hard about this.
  21. All that most of us want that talk about Diplomacy is to make it so that a couple of players that get off on being contrary and a pain to people., can’t tag certain players from other Nations because the majority of that Nation has some intelligence and can trade for the materials we need without using ALT accounts. Doesn’t that make some sense to all of you that are against any kind of National unity? Because some contrary, rude, I don’t give a $@($, kind of person will not leave traders alone from a Nation that we get White oak from, that Nation now won’t give us safe passage to trade. The Rude, contrary, I can do what I want player, doesn’t give a crap about trading for white oak because he uses PvP marks to make his ships out of whatever he wants. He has no use for a trade agreement and honestly doesn’t care about you and what you want or need. with a Diplomacy system an “Enemy Player” from a Nation that your Nation has a trade agreement with would be untaggable. Simple. We are not hurting Mister PvP I can do whatever I want player. He can still find plenty of “Enemy Players “ to go and rage board in his Le Requin, or Stern camp in his Hercules. After this, I give up. To me this is very easy to do right and it will benefit all players but there are just people that cannot see their own nose and can’t find find their own rear end with both hands.
  22. Can you please let us know what that fixed rotation is?
  23. If the system was perfectly fine we wouldn’t be having this conversation. The problem here is that if the vast majority of let’s say USA players wants a trade agreement with , ay Russia, that one person like you can screw that up by attacking a Russian trader going to CT. YOU WOULD BE THAT ONE PLAYER TELLING US ALL HIW WE MUST PLAY. All we want is for that Russian traders OW tag to read, not “enemy player” but “trade partner” and there is no ability for you to tag them. Then you would just find someone else to tag. I know this actually takes thought in the game and you just can’t roam around screwing things up for others like I am sure you like.
