  1. The "motivation to fight" part I actually like alot... just think about it for a moment. If people bring their 5/5 ships stuffed with expensive mods and 15 knot speed, they will have an advantage yeah... but they better be ready to lose that swagboat for real. With those rules in place people will think twice about bringing their best ships or run away from heavy combat built ships in their dirty fir/fir gankboats like little cucks and more people will consider bringing cheap and disposable ships probably... ganking is still a problem but at least gank victims don't have to commit to a 1:30 hour chase in hopes of escaping and since most gankers are low skill anyways, they will be raped and farmed by the real PvP players without a chance to get away. It sounds like a dream to me... I don't think this system is too bad actually... yeah it's NAL arena like but I'm starting to think, that this can't be helped to stop the time waste of chasing cowards in thier firboats and actually have battles with heavy ships that aren't only about kiting.
  2. PUBG NA.... I like it. So is the some visible circle in battle that you can't cross without losing your ship? Can you make ships that leave the combat area explode instead of only surrendering automatically?
  3. This list is pretty solid. Don't really give a shit about SC tho... I don't see a point in having super rare ships in the game, if they are overperforming or have strong unique traits but I haven't sailed SC since the wipe so maybe it needs a buff... I wouldn't know. Just wanted to remind that exclusive strong or even OP gear is idiotic for a competitive PvP game ( I hope we can all agree this is what NA is or at least should be? ).
  4. I mean yeah they have the best players but not the numbers... if they get too cocky the other nations would probably team up against them... the swerg might simply roll over them with some help of other nations.
  5. I wouldn't add it anyways to be honest... why wouldn't another ship be able to board right away when it is already in position? In reality the 2 enemy ships would probably even board at the same time...
  6. Pretty much. I'd rather have more PvE players actually use the PvE server. Farming sheep is for the weak.

I get your point but now imagine you're one of the few quality PvP players in pirate nation ( RUBLI ) and you have to bust your ass to keep ports for the pirates while the rest of your nation is sitting in the greenzone carebearing with no motivation for / no sign of improving their RvR / PvP game. Would you enjoy yourself and your game time? I can only think of dota 2 in this situation. Anyone who is half decent at this game knows how much of a pisstake it is to have to pull your teammates weight only because they not only seem to have the mental abilities of a braindamaged guy shitting himself but also can not be reasoned with and take no advice to improve their game.
  8. The butthurt is so real even I can feel it... also it's their ports, so I think it's generous enough of them to give pirates the chance to defend it, even tho they own those ports? Pirates are pretty much hello kittyed now but I applaud RUBLI for leaving with pirates being the biggest carebear nation on the server now... if I wasn't a solo player I would have switched long ago aswell...

  10. Yeah, it would be like now but with the hostility raid mission actually being worth doing so people get some actual reward and thus incentive to do it? Also more PvP going to happen around it when defenders get notified in advance and have more reason to prevent the hostility / raid?
  11. Yeah, I was considering it but it is really slow... you think it makes for a decent solo ship? Do the 4 stern chasers help dodge a gank?
  12. Endymion and Trinc both can mount 14 per side tho... and what about 4th rates? I really want 2 decks of pood .... just haven't sailed 4th rates much since the rework, so not sure which to go for...

  14. I'd like to know what the hardcore PvP folks consider the best ship with Poods for solo PvP among 4th rates in the current patch. I tried Trinc, Endymion and PFrig with them and want to get real on the broadside weight now ( also to practice sailing the big boy toys ). Thanks for any helpful input.

  16. Nobody likes to do hostility ( at least against bots ) and everyone likes rewards. Why does hosility have such shitty loot if we want people to do RvR and PvP when hostility is the only PvE directly related to PvP? Just swap out hostility missions with raid missions. It would be like a mix of epic event and port battle against bots ( maybe with the addition of the attackers having to win a "boarding" against the port / town. Defenders ( players of the nation that the port belongs to ) can join without time limit during the battle and maybe take a spot of bots as long as there is still a bot in battle that has not recieved x amount of damage already. If the attackers lose more ships than 50% number of bots ( excluding mortar brigs maybe ), they lose. Taking a raid mission would cost 15 - 25 PvP marks and be announced in combat news. The raid mission would then set a PB and give epic event level reward + the daily tax income of the port x3 ( maybe x5 ? ) out of the clan warehouse of the clan that owns it, if won. Everything needed for this is already in game... Easiest way to make something interesting out of the mechanics and content we already have? Anything is better than the current hostility mechanic and we would finally get raids? Let me know what you think ( if you don't like this idea, I'd appreciate you come up with a better one so we can all keep dreaming ).

Doesn't really make sense to be honest... if your nation owns 1/3 ports of the map ( assuming perfect balance for the sake of this hypothesis ) then you have only 2/3 of the map to attack, while currently your nation would own 1/11, being able to attack 10/11... it's the same with PvP as redii already mentioned - less allies = more targets. Also having only 3 big players in the game would make it a bit boring imo...

  20. If they remove Russia, Prussia and Poland.... why not go all the way and cut Danes and Swedes aswell? Otherwise I don't see the point really. Either you have the triangle Spain, GB and France with US and Dutch on the side for more historical accuracy and more populated nations or we might just leave it as it is. Also yeah, pirates should be hardcore but admin already said it isn't possible because of all the kids that watched too many disney movies and want to play pirate... can't make one of the go to mainstream nations hardcore without hurting the rating even more... but they should add outlaw pirates with red flag as hardcore pirate option.
  21. Didn't we try this and people just moaned about it and traded BPs and permits anyways? I wouldn't mind this, if it was impossible to build 1-3 rates for any nation other than GB, France or Spain but I don't think it would improve the game other than a tiny bit historically and it's probably not worth dealing with all the crybabies over....
