  1. If you're unhappy and you know it, clap your hands! *clap... clap* If you're unhappy and you know it, clap your hands! *clap... clap* If you're unhappy about LGV refit being garbage and you really want to show it, If you're unhappy, bump this thread! *bump*
  2. I read on some patchnotes they reduced it / toned it down, because it was a bit too much. Removing it completely would be pretty much a waste of the effort of implementing it in the first place... but yeah seems to be barely noticable, if at all.

    Upgrade bug

You can only fit one "rig refit" and maybe BSS or CS count as such refit type.
  4. Well the sailing profile could be improved a little too but what really makes it garbage is 3/3 when you can face ships with 5/5.... just a joke. Either way, it definitely needs a serious buff.
  5. If someone disagrees with this, I'd like to hear why.... 3/5 star rating really doesn't mean wet seagull shit. "Huuurrr durr I don't sail this ship because I'm a carebear that doesn't have the PvP marks to get one but I like how it looks so I rate 5/7" ... or what?
  6. Why does the LGV refit still have only 3 skill slots ( and other traders too ) ? It used to be underwhelming enough when it was 3/3 compared to 3/5 frigates but now that you can built 5/5 ships, it just became even more useless. YES, I know it can enter enemy ports and has a decent amount of cargo hold BUT for that it pays with a puny broadside weight that is surpassed even by cerberus, that is actually on par with the Niagara 6th rate ( Niagara actually has a lot more firepower when mounting carronades - I know right.... what the F...lipper ) while being the target size and having the maneuverability of a medium frigate. Also the main bonus of swivels are the visuals.... they are more of a gimmick in actual combat. Why would I want to use this ship? Please make it a bit more viable, even if it is only 3/5 and not possibly 5/5... we all know 3/3 is garbage in the mod stacking meta. Even for only hunting traders I wouldn't use this... I love the looks and concept of this ship but as it stands right now, it is rather useless. The price of 25 PvP marks also is more than unjustified... That's 2.5 Navy hulls for ships that can actually get the job done. @admin Please consider making LGV refit more viable. It is a real shame nobody uses this beautiful ship...
  7. Alot of things aren't hard to implement at all.... do you see them in game? Because I don't... No matter how hard or easy it is, why should the devs waste a second on it when there are more important things?
  8. You know that the HMS Swagboat is quite a bit older than even Ingermanland, right? As much as I love the ship, I'm not a fan of making a ship competetive with ships that are 200 years advanced in design.
  9. So hard to remember how many slots you have? Most people probably don't have more than 20 anyways... They can give some indicator or something but I feel like there are many much more pressing issues with the game than this to be honest.
  10. I thought so but can you maybe give russia, poland and prussia the style of dutch, danes and swedes? Or let clans choose which style / version they want to use? Would be better in my opinion. I think alot more nations ( especially russia, poland, prussia) should have this style: And this one fits more for Spanish, French and Pirates or small / shallow ports: Russia, Poland, Prussia, Sweden, Danes and Dutch should all have the north-eastern european style...
  11. Showerthought time... what is the logic of architectural styles between nations? Swedes, Danes and Dutch have this North-eastern european style and Russia, Prussia and Poland this mediterranean(?) style... why? Also I'd like to see more diversity in architecture in general as seen on some very old teasers but that is never going to happen I guess... What happened to this? .... fort upgrade for increased maintenance cost, please?? Nice visuals and another gold sink to help the inflation? No? Ok... This one actually is from NA too... probably scratched? .... Improving visuals of OW even further would have been pretty nice.
  12. I suggested this idea already and others probably did before me but the devs don't like it or don't care I guess... don't think it's a issue of effort, because this should be fairly easy to implement... Also I disagree about the PvP marks... sinking a trader is per definition PvP and it doesn't matter how hard it is to sink them... just look at Darkjoker farming noobs at KPR with his Wasa... should he not get marks for it either ( yeah actually he shouldn't but PvP marks are soon worthless anyways )? If you want to make PvP mark rewards about effort then only max rank players should give PvP marks. We have greenzones where noobs can be safe and missions give plenty enough gold. If I find a trader ( that isn't a new player ) I don't want his garbage or his ship, I want to sink him and get a reward for doing so. People farm PvP marks already and they keep losing value anyways... and now you want to remove them for legit kills only because it's a trader? I know a mate who used to play this game mainly to hunt traders, because it was his thing to roleplay(?) as pirate and I think there are more like him. And yes he was a scrub but let's be honest 90% of players in this game are scrubs and easy kills that should give no PvP marks according to your logic. Either we remove PvP marks altogether and bring some PvP rank / PvP reputation system instead or leave as it is. PvP rank / reputation would work with this cargo inspection mechanic btw... if you spare a trader you get a bit of rank / reputation. But let's not start dreaming again...
  13. Can you repost a smaller version of the screenshot, please?
  14. The experienced veteran players weren't dropped out of their mama's huhu a Naval Action pro ready to destroy, they were noobs and ate shit to get better too. Of course you don't have to risk your ships in PvP in order to have fun and get better, you can simply drop the towel and quit PvP. Back in the day when the now veterans started out as noobs, there weren't even safe zones where they could have ranked up or made gold without getting farmed.... too many sissies out there. Yeah, maybe they should give PvP marks for damage but then they might remove them altogether, since they become more and more worthless anyways and they can soon simply sell the PvP admiralty shit for CM too...
  15. To make farming PvP marks even easier? Yes, please. Not saying it is obvious you are a farmer but it is quite obvious.
  16. Not sure how that matters for cosmetic items that are not tradeable? And as I said farming this would be much harder and easier to find from the data than farming PvP marks and we have PvP marks already in game, so.... ? Farming this rank would give you less advantage ( because it doesn't give any direct advantage at all ) than farming your normal rear admiral rank that at least gives you more crew. If you see some hello kittying nobody with high PvP rank and the cosmetics, everyone would know they farmed it anyways... community is so tiny, it is easy to find and report these people.
  17. Makes you wonder why we don't have something like this yet?
  18. So basically what I suggested but you call it reputation instead of rank?
  19. Well, they don't have to remove marks for this but I am sure this rank system would promote PvP and fights between veterans / the top dogs that usually pray on the weak for easy marks... it sure would be more of an incentive than useless PvP marks to me and while I play for the sake of PvP itself like you say, it is only possible if you have other players to fight in the OW.... and preferably skilled ones. The other day I made a trip in OW again and all I found was Basic cutters, a trader brig and people running in fir/fir ships... not hard to imagine why the steam rating is complete shit
  20. No man, this rank has NOTHING to do with other game mechanics at all. All it is for is give incentive and long term goals for PvP. It's not like people don't know who the better PvP players are anyways.... it would simply make it more official.
  21. Sure if you find some of the better PvP players that lets you sink him for hours on end, then you can farm it to get some cosmetic items But it would take a long time to hit higher ranks and people tend to know who are the better PvP players... would be easy to find and ban extreme farmers... You would first have to sink a lot of ships with your alt to rank it up so it gives good xp and then you would have to sink even more ships to farm your alt and I am guessing it would be easy for the devs to see this?? They could also make it so you lose PvP rank ( but not the rewards ) if you sink but this wouldn't promote PvP as much...
  22. Doesn't sound to me like you read the OP... the rank is prestige and gives you no direct upgrades or advantage, so why would you have to grind it????!? It gives incentive to PvP and shows you how experienced a player is in PvP, while hitting low PvP rank players isn't very rewarding for top dogs, if they want to rank up. So in a way this also prevents seal clubbing and hitting on PvE players a bit...
