This is why I'm jealous of france/denmark/sweden. They were lucky to not get their capital meme'd out by the PB exploit. When your entire nation shows up to defend the most important port on the map, everyone ready to do what it takes to win the day. Then the enemy fleet out of nowhere pops into port, everyone knowing once it reached that point we were finished. That mounted on top by the insulting response to from the devs. There wasn't a single US player who didn't feel absolutely cheated. 3 major clans jumped ship immediately, along with others, leaving US with NO leadership, NO fleet and NO options. The nail in the coffin is for the US to take what remains of its SOL fleet and throw it at Savannah. After that US is out of the game for good until map reset/wipe, no one is going to stick around for 1-2 months at a time to throw their ships at a brick wall, it not like a border port, this is a capital region with 25 1st rates and dozens of frigates that can attack us anywhere. Disgusting behavior by the devs. You've singlehandedly killed a nation for seemingly no reason other than laziness or fear of backlash by the vocal pirate minority.

They could make it work within the limitations of the game. The link I posted is a great start, and not too far a jump to where it takes too much work to implement Make screening official, make PBs more than 1 measly battle, give nations OPTIONS in how they want to approach the PB instead of the carried over sea trial battles passed off as "conquest"

The fact that we have to defend broken mechanics to defeat broken mechanics goes to show how awful the RVR in its entirety is. Devs need to look at reworking conquest ASAP, because its broken as can be, I'm not surprised some nations have decided to avoid the mess

Let me go ahead and correct you, everything that's wrong with the nations are a result of broken PB mechanics and the ability of a single nation to abuse those mechanics. I suggest everyone take a look at this Topic on IMPROVING RVR which is an unfunny joke at its current state.

1. Yes, it needs to take longer. Too easy to hostility bomb the night prior, and flip the port the next day before most people even get off work and realize the area was even contested. 2. Yes, a single 25v25 is too limited for deciding an entire region. Port flips should be more of a drawn out, multiple battle event, and less of a gimmick. 3. Yes x100 The only requirement should be change the battlegroup mechanic from similar BRs to similar group size, since its unlikely for a nation to field a similarly composed screening fleet, when screenings is more about attrition than outright destroying the enemy (although that could also be a choice One thing to add, a way for attackers to wear the defenders down siege style. Perhaps make each PB 3 consecutive battles, the first 2 allowing any ship size smaller than port req. So for the first battle the attackers can choose to bring a fleet of mortar brigs and 5th rates to destroy forts and weaken the active fleet there. The 2nd battle can be just a small skirmish between whatever ships,, same kind of idea. The 3rd is the grand finale with whoever winning this wins the PB. Each of these battles takes place the day after each other, at the same time the PB was set for and voila, RVR isn't shit anymore. Entire nations can be involved, less room for abuse, and more options for everyone.

Unfortunately with Savannah being taken by a mere 25 vs 75+, there is no reason for US to even try to retake it with so meta so in the opposite favor. We have little 1st rates as it is with most going to GB and Pirates. An attack on Savannah would be futile, and only kill off the last bit of proper ships we have left. Unless we somehow found away to bend game mechanics to our advantage then Savannah is taking staying pirate.

This is the way NA was meant to be played. Go pirate if you want to experience the true NA, no more one porting, no more limitations on who you can gank, no more pesking brass always asking you to hand over your captain's logs. The crazy thing is if you fit RVR into that, you'd have a near perfect NA. No more weak nations, just weak clans who could easily merge with other clans, ports owned by clans, everything up for grabs. If your clan gets rolled, disband and go to another, if your clan gets massive, people get greedy, noobs get insubordinate, civil war breaks out, the clan topples. No limitations and endless refreshing content. It'd be a best seller.

Its funny because Duncan accused me of being your alt, before I even started the satire of the accusation and the tone was generally serious and straight forward If you've "made amends" (the most progressive diplomacy ever achieved with the pirates on global) then isn't it safe to say my actions have brought PR and GB and closer as nations then before?

I wouldn't have continued if I known at the time Duncan accused me of being YOUR alt. I wasn't trying to impersonate you, just have a laugh and prove a point. Obviously it makes no sense for me to be Duncans alt when I'm constantly disagreeing with his "logic", even in that same thread, anyone with their head screwed on tight could see that. It's pretty textbook situational irony, and I explain ever little bit of it in my first post. I guess that sort of humor fades after 30. Maybe the same way we shouldn't throw around "that person exploits" without proof we shouldn't wildly be throwing around "that person is an alt" without proof. Again, I know this affects you the most, as its relatively reasonable to somehow come to the conclusion that I am your alt (compared to duncans). If I saw your name in Duncans unprecedented accusation I would've made it clear I'm not in anyway related to your account.

The reason I posted in that thread was to express that the problem @Aussie Pastor was tallking about was because the exploited PB of Savannah that lets them gank noobs in what should be relatively safe waters. Pirates continually denied the fact that using an alt for PB is against the rules and indeed exploitative using the tribunal to support my claim They disregard, and @Duncan McFail accused me of being an alt for Britain, claiming GB used the US for their own gain As a satirical joke I outrageously went along, with a ridiculous made up plan that GB are the ones who convinced the Pirates to exploit the PB, and not the pirates. Someone else posted commenting on that this way a ploy and I was actually a Pirate alt, trying to make the GB look like the bad guys and make the pirates look not responsible for their confirmed alt exploiting to win Savannah. I thought this was intended to be satirical as well, since it was also a ridiculous "ploy" (accusing the accusers of being the alt) The double post at the end was meant to be the most outrageously unbelievable thing to really put the period on the joke, since no one is dumb enough to somehow double post on two accounts, and at the end put "PLEASE DEELEATE MODS, I DID NOT MEAN TO POST THAT TWICE" as the most underlying tell that it was a joke, since after messing up that bad the worst thing someone could do is actually confirm it was an unintentional mistake. In hindsight t his was probably pushing it a bit. Overall, I'm sorry for the misunderstandings. Poe's law is very prevalent these days, and with the growing tension between nations and I can see how it could be taken as real. My whole point was to show a. Denying the proof that Savannah was an exploited PB is ridiculous when tribunal confirmed it backed by dev rules of no alt interfering with PBs b. I almost wonder why you consider such meaningless arguments to be accomplishments until I remember that you're grasping for straws. Wish I would have made a screenshot of the brit that told me that Brits were coming to Savannah to screen. Koltes is pissed at me for that one and I'd bet it was a VCO guy. Pretty sure that Daniel Silver guy was another one of your alts. Who else would make a deal to screen for 3 ports even when it was a failed screen. Btw you were in the process of running up hostility on a US port at the same time. Now you have an alt trying to rally the US into warring with the pirates despite taking 5 of there ports. Pretty sure the US can put 2 and 2 together and figure out who there real enemy is. They got some new blood over there that might become the future of the US there. Hopefully they choose the correct path.
