  1. Take a breath. You are not the God of N.A.. People have different opinions and playstyles. Your type of I KNOW BEST THEREFORE I AM RIGHT AND YOUR PLAYSTYLE IS SHIT....just goes to show how limited you are in an argument and thus why you obviously struggle in N.A..
  2. Not true. You can try and catch those making mistakes! What's wrong with you that you let people make 400 mistakes and keep coming back. Practise to punish those mistakes.
  3. Don't limit repsirs! It takes skill now in battle. You already can't repair hull and sails so just think a bit how to kill your enemy! It's good like this you have options.
  4. Please don't take away any mods. This game would be so vanilla without them. I agree though that all mods should have a down side, speed = weaker ship. Strength = slower ship. More mods = more variety of play = more players.
  5. @admin is right. The hostility rules are fine. We look for them then jump in and kill or cap the loners gathering cash. It's also a reasonable strategy to use against big nstions. Flip the port, don't show up. It annoys the he'll out of them. Then flip and show up.....it helps out the smaller clans etc. If your fed up sitting at a port with no shows...dont defend it. It's all working well, changing it will just help the big boys.
  6. Been playing for 2 years. The game is moving the right way now IMO. Some people think it's finished. It's not. The Devs will release it when it's done. Doom sayers come, shout loudly.. ..then quietly leave....and are replaced by others. It's the way of development games.

Random open sea Shipwrecks, RNG quests (find stuff) that then disappears, rock hard AI legends like teach, Nelson etc popping up and engaging you, the flying Dutchman, the kraken, mermaids, sirens, proper badass storm fronts that you have to run from, disease in crowded in ports (effects crew, mine production etc) to name but a few. It may get the Port huggers out and about a bit more. Fog of war, not really maps of the time were pretty good but added stuff why not? It's a game and if the three new nations are going to stay then it's lost its hard core historical label anyway.

  11. Forget realism....you ain't taking guns of a sinkng ship or most other things. It a good system at the moment. I never sink a ship at range if I want to loot it. Just hold off, close up and finish the ship, then loot. Please don't make it arcady screen type. Working for it makes it worthwhile and in combat with multiple ships you take a chance....or don't.
  12. It dawns on me that some people are serious about putting alts on trial, even though the alts can change name in 2 mins...............facepalm, sigh, breathe slowly, lie down.
  13. Yeah....yeah....thats all great...... Once found, tried, convicted and tagged and hit and shamed they can..... (drum roll........cymbak crash!) Change their name and start again...............that will show them. You pays your money you gets your game. Alts are part of the game. Spys were real. Live with it. Far more important things to worry about.
  14. It's to have new nations. That's great, yay.... It would be nicer to actually sort out the pirate 'nation' at some time.....
  15. When more than one enemy attacks you its called a battle. Show me a battle in history where both side were equal. Real ganking was effectively stopped with previous patches. Players today use the word every time they sink! It was dangerous around Nassau and Tortuga in real life to.....
  16. Freeports are full of fights and will remain pvp hotbeds. What we need is footfall and that comes in many playstyles. If you are new to this game it is now harder and more complicated than ever so safe zones stop new players swiching off after being sunk three times in a row. Lol....now thats a good point. That was the devs being a bit lazy I think.
  17. The safe zones are fine. I am pirate and we don't have one effectively because bottom feeders can still seal club other players. PvP is out there go sail....look for it. If a player wants to sail in the safe zone, let them, they help the economy and some players like to play like that.. Stop hanging around capitals where mainly new players are and sail out to the neutral ports and you will find PvP. But then the players at those ports can fight back.....
  18. Reward all PvP. Win or lose. At the moment losing is to costly for NO REWARDS at all. It takes time and effort to become good at combat and the set back for new blood is to harsh. 30 mins battle. Lose ship. Lose mods. Lose repairs. Lose crew. AND get nothing in return.. ..... Not a clever mechanic for PvP growth.
