  6. If this post survives and is not deleted!! Our amazing development team don't want pirates to be a nation but drop us all In one area and say don't act as a nation. We are restricted in crafting and with the news that we shouldn't be able to get any bps for 1/2/3 rate ships we are clearly not a nation in there eyes. But instead of spreading the pirates out over 3 or 4 ports (5th rate ports) all across the map (sub Capitals). Then to allow pirates to pick one sub capital along with Mt as our home. Then pirates will be more spread out and will start acting less like a nation and more like roaming bands of thugs. Raiding is a pirate feature but we all know we will be excluded from it. Boarding mods should be pirate exclusive but that won't happen either.

The problem you have @admin ****edit no longer allowed to post here after receiving multiple warnings (been advised that posting in a tribunal with non related comments is against forum rules and continueing to do do will result in bans) @admin did everyone who commented on cap Francis get warnings! as the mod who warned me Is now no longer willing to talk to me. My crew and I sail with new vengeance on our hearts, our blades are sharper and our guns are primed. As I lay on this beach, rum and wine in hand I feel an awakening stirring deep inside of me! Vengeance is coming! The rules of war booklet burns on my fire! Once that fire is out, the world will burn!

  11. please could an admin look into the PVP EU server. There has been a number of lineship ports that have been captured without the use of lineships! Please could an admin look into this exspoilt! thank you

  13. I'd love the sextant as a perk costing 4 points. If you want to do long distance sailing you would be a skilled captain etc. Everything should have a cost!
  14. It's now really hard but for the first time that I can remember the Devs have installed ballance to naval action (yes Devs you did it by accident, but we'll done anyway). Now nation population is not the 'win' factor. Big or small are even!!! I still think we should get extra perks for example (as Anna wild said) the ability to capture AI traders in enermy waters, such as 'smuggler' costing 6 points- gives the ability to capture (adding to Fleet[also need fleet perks]) AI traders/ships that can we sailed back to port and stripped then broken up. If you want to capture ships there should be negatives also

  16. The game is being slowed down. This is a very simple way of adding ballance between the big population nations and the smaller. If anything being in a high population nation you are at a big disadvantage, this will adjust over time! All I'd like is to see (this maybe available already I'm only 2 days into this patch) is the workyard allowing you to store two ships while they are being broken up. The break up should take 6hours tho WAKE UP PEOPLE!! Before was easy mode, now it's hard mode. The Devs are testing for ballance (I'll be honest I don't think the Devs have a clue most of the time but I am gaining belief in them) The game currently adds ballance! Big and small nations are even!
  17. As a pirate iv been frustrated by the painstaking slow grind to 250k, (Im still not there yet), in a cutter! Yeah the games got hard (like it should be), yeah historically large nations such as gb, usa have no automatic access to coal! Pirates is a cluster mess at the moment but we as pirates are starting to see cream rising to the top. If anything this new patch has organised the pirates better! The key now to naval action is not nation size or population but resources! (about bloody time the Devs understood this) On eu server we are already seeing shifts in national posturing. Yes the games hard, but it should be hard. Thankfully the days of being given everything on a silver spoon have ended.

  19. You nationals were given alliances when this time period everyone was at war with everyone. So don't give me this bs over its not historical etc!!! (so many ships never sailed in our region of the world, cough victory!) #(the victory is reported to have sailed in an area near to the Caribbean bur not to what is mainland america or Kingston port royal. TY for updated information)
  20. With how the testbed shows you the number of cannons available I'd love to see pirates given the unique ability to change the ships stats. For example, ship is captured and has slots for, (top deck), 30 rank 6 cannons.(2nd deck) 30 tier 8 cannons. Through pirates sailing the ship to kidds (shhh it's a secret) where there's a refit dockyard level one (only one in game) costs 500,000 to build. This refit dockyard allows players to upgrade cannon tiers, (crafting of cannons not available here), using example above the ship gains tier 5 and 7 cannons but with the penalty of 25% speed reduction. The level two refit dockyard costs 1million and does same things but instead of speed reduction penalty you get a cannon equipped reduction of 20%. The refit dockyards gives pirates future chances for unique features. Also this could be used to change out regional buffs to pirate ones. Once a pirate ship is edited it shows a * at the end of its name in game. So when you nationals fight pirates and instead of sinking them, if you cap there ship you get a chance of getting a pirate ship your capital rewards for extra marks. This system could be used for all nation's In one way or another to give each nation some unique benefit
  21. Agreed. I'm up for any and all changes that don't start with the age old "pirates never captured ports so shouldn't take part I'm rvr" argument we see over and over. I have little (like most pirates) interest in ports But I need resources. I still feel that ports with very low national footfall should have a rebel system going to neutral status so any nation can capture it. Too much of the map is locked up with no-one using it
