Vertical adjustments or elevation should be fast and should not result in much accuracy loss. Elevation was adjusted by an elevation screw or a wedge shaped block. Much faster and more precise than the horizontal adjustments with handspikes.

You're Dunning-Kruger-ing in your reasoning. You never pvp cus you perceive some unfairness in gear advantage, while for a large part ppl are beating you because they spent a lot of time doing pvp, including being sank in pvp, and get good at it. And are always playing together and work like a team, capitalize on enemy mistakes, recognize their own mistakes and correct them etc.

Except what you are proposing is not pvp everywhere! You are saying pvp only when certain conditions are met. You are saying that if i'm sailing with 2 friends and i come across 2 enemies one of us cannot have pvp. Your system means when we go with four guys to enemy capital they cannot attack us with 6-7 guys so they will not attack us at all...

Indeed, look at the fights posted in If they would not have been able to attack us with double BR, we would not have gotten a fight and everybody would have wasted another evening looking for action without anything to show for it... And if the losing side gets pvp marks even without kills, they are still gonna try again next time! But with what you are proposing (equal BR) fights like above will not be possible. And it will ultimately be massively frustrating when you finally do find willing opponents and this mechanic will just flat out prevent you from fighting each other.

Actually, the reason most OW pvp is gank and run atm is that most targets will only fight if they cannot get away (you have to gank em) or if they gathered a revenge/coast guard fleet that's bigger then the gankers' (so the gankers run). Making pvp in general less risky in that the pvp itself will help ppl replace ships and gear, will perhaps encourage more ppl to fight even if they do not have a clear advantage

I kinda agree that there is no good reason to tie this mission to a specific place. But what you are suggesting does not help with players being afraid to lose. With Admin's system they can expect a replacement ship, repairs and a random module as long as they do a reasonable amount of damage before they sink.

@Christendom, you really like crying about multiflips, but you should ask your buddies Anolytic, Kloothommel, and Bernadotte how Sweden handled their multiflips back when the conquest competition was just introduced. They held their own against the Danes, French, Sorry and the Brits. Anolityc even came on the Dutch TS to 'ask' (read semi-threaten) us not to attack the Brits at Santa Marta that weekend. Did Sweden then roll over and join the Danes? Nope, they manned up, got organized and defended what they could defend and abandoned what they could't. They came out stronger because their fleet was now forged in the hottest fire. And they earned my respect. Something you will never have.
