I like the idea, and am willing to try it. HOWEVER, this has no chance to work unless we get some kind of lobby for PBs. It is crucial that commanders have some control over which players/ships enter the PB. Just setting friendly clans is no solution, because there is still zero control over which ships enter.

Unlimited reps is most simple and foolproof. Not sure if it will result in most interesting fights tbh, might end up with many ships not sunk at the end of the battle. I tend to lean towards one rep of hull, rig and rum each. However, this might be somewhat difficult to enforce. And suppose this rule is broken, will it mean the entire team is disqualified or loses the match? Or maybe the offending player is removed for the duration of the current battle?

Great idea. Perhaps when you decide on 2v2 or 3v3 or whatever, allow slightly bigger teams, so there are spares to make scheduling matches easier.

yes, that was the first mistake if devs decide they are missing certain ships from certain nations, don't allow any other ships in the poll! in situations like these democracy will not ensure minorities get their share, it should be obvious...

Sigh, so again you put up a big ass poll including ships from nations that are already way over represented (both in ships and players), even when stated devs prefer ships from 3 underrepresented nations. I predict that this poll will yet again result in a french or british ship, and the dutch and others will again be left hanging... Why why why go with a poll like this? Minority nations will not get their ships if you go about it like this. every damn poll the dutch ships have been left just shy of getting in, and now you guarantee it will happen again. Make a new poll with just the 3 preferred nations!

So what is the point of merging servers when you immediately block those players from competing against each other with timers?? When we did have mixed servers there was constant complaining about timers not being in somebodies optimal time, regardless of when the actual window was.

XIX that always was dedicated to keeping the dutch together during the massive clashes of ego's between ppl like Pellasgos and Monkeybullet, always playing the conciliator. At the time there was no OW agreement with the french. Yes, apparently you were in talks to make such an agreement but how the hello kitty would anybody know? And 90% of nation did not know. As proven by the fact that when pietje asked about it in nation chat the unanimous answer was "rvr peace, no OW agreement"

Um guys this might not be the best place for this discussion. Let's just say both sides are better off and got what they wanted by us parting ways.

Half of what is now CABAL came from Sweden to VP with the wipe in the first place. The other half had been Dutch veterans since Steam release. We left because since the wipe we were fed up with the lack of pvp, hours to sail to find hostiles, lack of organization and participation in the nation and a council dominated by pvers who were only trying to restrict our ability to pvp even more. And before you ask why sweden? Well, we were at war with you guys so we did not want to pull an VLTRA/HYDRA. Besides, we didn't like you guys all that much. Danes same thing, didn't like em. French speak almost only french, Spanish only spanish. US too small and far away. So only sweden was left, and half of our guys used to play there anyway.

If you ask Kloothommel, any nation that Sweden attacks is gonna be a poor weak nation that is destroyed by the bullies of 'Swerg'. That guy is so blinded by his biases that he will be 'denouncing' Sweden whatever they do, even if it means contradicting what he said the last time the subject came up. He just cannot see his own total hypocrisy in his statements. Weren't you attacking GB just now? I guess the only reason you are not bullies yourselves is your incompetence in capping cartagena? I mean, Anolityc also clearly has a hard-on for swede-bashing, but at least he is reasonable some of the time (like his last few posts in this thread). So tell me this Kloothommel, who would it be acceptable for Sweden to fight, if attacking the largest nation on the server is 'wrecking one community at a time'? Maybe we should just attack only AI on this pvp server?
