Game has been worked on for over 3 years now and with each change it will effect into every remark they made. If we kept to the course we had 2-3 years ago this game would have been dead. Changes need to happen and it will effect every goal both new and previous. Exactly. No turning back now. People can whine and complain like a spoil little brat on a long road trip but it wont change a thing. Time to finish this up and get a release. Personally, been liking all the changes. Just wish the individuals that are throwing a tantrum would leave and leave the people that are actually having fun to be.

Not to mention that people should not take anything said by the admin that is a response to a comment. Only when the admin makes an original post should you make it some consideration. Not to mention we do not know how many use the Admin account from the team.

To get into the same sort of rank however does not take long. It is after the Captain/Post Captain when things become a significant grind. Without tutorial and playing around an hour or two a day you can rank up quickly to the rank that will allow you in the larger 5th rates and even 4th rates.

I rather everything be wiped. Want everyone to start back at same starting line once again. But that is not up to me. Only thing I plan to do at release is write a positive yet honest review. Work towards reforming the clan. Do tutorials. Begin earning reals.

Although I am more hopeful and positive than Teutonic is in his post, I do agree that updates on progress and where things stand on a more weekly like basis would go a long way. I do not care if it is an open thread either. Just to visually seeing work being down goes a long way.

We would advise them to choose targets wisely and know your limitations. Do not create conflict when it is one that can spiral out of control and out of your favor. If you are a US player in those ships you still get attacked. Watch a bunch of French players in Bellona gank a cutter leaving Charleston. I tend to hit anything that comes across my path within reason including cutters, especially with delivery missions and they could be carrying books, doubloons, or upgrades on them as well.

Pyrrhic victory at best for GB. Lost three Surprises, a Mercury, and Hercules and was only able to take out a Mortar Brig, Requin, and have the other Requin surrender towards the end. Was actually having a social life for a change which was nice so I could not be there. From what I was told it was a good fight between everyone and hopefully things like this continue where things can be sporting.

I do not see 4th rates as ship of the lines in this game nor do I see them as frigates. Placing the wide range of time this game covers certain classifications become a bit grayed and muddled. The 4th rates one of those classifications that becomes hard to rigidly define for what ships they introduce and more importantly for the game itself. When it comes to the game I see the 4th rates as "super frigates." Too strong to be classified as a normal frigate class but not strong enough for the 3rd rates and above, aka ships of the line. It is one of the reasons I am disappointed that the Constitution and United States are now 3rd rates and not 4th rates.

Or buy some off a player willing to sell them. There are quite a few that would not mind parting from a few victory marks for a price or simply for free.

So I am fine with everything mentioned. Little disappointed its not a map wipe though. Two things I would suggest though @admin please make sure that there are a much larger percentage of craftable ships availible in comparision to the amount of dlc ships there are availible to purchase. Like there should be 1 dlc ship to ever 5 ships close to its class. Maybe even larger ratios. Also please tell me you guys are going to change up port battles in some manner. Like add variations to the battle objectives or something. Kind of bored doing the same thing over and over again and also to see cowardice rewarded when players choose to kite and run away from fighting as a tactic to win.

I use the prince mainly as a trade raider or support ship. Noticed with the cannon changes that I am definitely rolling light. A boost the guns qould be nice to make its support role better.

We boarded and sunk the Herc and captured the Niagara. We went to their main port and refused to fight or even help out their comrades.

I think the first xp reward is fine from the challenges. (if I recall there being one). It isnt a huge jump since getting to that rank usually takes a day or two. Removing the XP reward for completing the final exam I do see as a good idea. Rewarding them say with a few permits or more reals would be nice.

I noticed when I changed I had all my old messages I had sent as Velhelm but all my other messages I sent and received under my other in-game name were gone.
