  1. Not denying the population in the US server could be significantly better. EU server as someone living in the Midwest is a little over 120 ms. Which isnt great and on occasion lag happens to a point where over time it is a nuisance.
  2. Yeah I know for a fact no alts were being used. A few of my clan were out there while the Pirates were attempting to cap. Privateer can most likely vouch this. He was sailing a L'Ocean and crushing everything that was in his path.
  3. Yeah I would not mind a complete wipe either. The grind is not as horrendous as when I first joined a year ago almost. In a full release I feel like everyone should start on the same page. If not then only a slight head start for people that did play in the Alpha. That way new players in the first few weeks in not the first month do not feel like they cannot participate much in the game because of their rank and inability to get a stronger ship and participate in events or what-not. Edit: That is why if they do want to reward Alpha players in some matter a redeemable that provides experience, decent starting gold, and a decent ship like a Snow or Niagara.
  4. I would not mind a server merge as long as that servers ping is reasonable for everyone and not just European or American East coastline players. I know a few Australians that would not be able to play if the ping isnt good enough. Speaking of preparing for release might I suggest a reward towards the Alpha players that would show that their total dedication to the Alpha was not a waste of time and still not make new players feel out of their league and potentially balance the factions out slightly. My suggestion is that everyone in Alpha has their rank, faction, ships, and gold wiped. When they join the game at full release they can create a fresh account/ or have them re-select a faction with their current account. That way the few people that felt that they didnt want to lose everything they earned with their one account in an attempt to balance the factions out can now. As a reward for their dedication the Alphas are given a redeemable item which would contain experience points to a moderate rank, a decent ship at that rank, and a decent amount of gold to start out with. That way new players will not feel they are way behind the alpha players yet the alpha players still earn something for their dedication in the alpha development process.
  5. I really feel for you French and Swedish players. The game loses its fun when all the power is assembled in just a few factions. I do hope, and I will go in greater detail in the development threads, I do hope that when full release comes out people progress will be wiped. Ranks, faction, and gold included. That way the playing field is even out between the alphas and new full release players, and some people wont feel bad if they change factions which hopefully will fill factions out like Spain, France, and Sweden. In return for our dedicated service to play during a game in development we will receive a redeemable "alpha package."
  6. As a Great Britain player and clan creator, I will agree the alliance of what is more than likely the two most populated factions has been a cancer to PvP2. Coming back from a long break I was very displeased with what I saw. It is like walking back into a room to find the high school athetes beating up on the handicap kid. So I do not blame players for leaving the server and going to PvP1. I also dont blame people not wanting to reroll into the smaller factions. High ping is far better than what was happening to them. Most of my clan is either new players or veterans looking to see an end to the alliance. So I see promise for the future of PvP2. I do hope this slow decay of PvP2 ceases and the end of this alliance should help. The suggestions above I find to be very interesting and I agree that the alliance system does need some improvements. Farrago's post especially was enlightening and I do hope the devs take some of your suggestions into consideration.

  9. Great progress today everyone. Increased our numbers from two to fourteen. Participated in a Port Battle. Created a mutually beneficial trade relations with the clan Blue Squadron (BLUE). Also, was given the "okay" from the community head to create Naval Action channels in the teamspeak if the numbers increase still.
  10. Reichsflotte PvP2 Dutch Community/Clan Short Summary: Reichsflotte, Imperial Fleet in German, is more of a community than a clan. Our goal is to create an active group of like minded individuals from all aspects of the game and want to maintain the server for everyone and not just ourselves. Focus: Reichsflotte has only a few goals it has set out to achieve. The first of which as expected for any new organization is to grow. Reichsflotte does not aim to become a dominant or large community, but rather one that is manageable and can be maintained reasonably. Secondly, to maintain its casual atmosphere and not become a community focused on only one aspect of the game. That means if you are someone that enjoys being a lone wolf or someone that enjoys group gameplay we do not mind either. The final goal is to maintain a balance on the server so that everyone can enjoy the game fully, be that having a consistent opponent in the open world PvP or to have access to resources needed to build top end ships.   11. I will definitely give it a try. Still this should not be the only option or means to keep crews reasonably managable.
  12. JANFU TACTICAL I believe is defunct. I left them two days ago. They dont play anymore. There is a clan I am joining called BCS which I did not see on your list.
  13. Granted yes it easy to make capital. I have two LGVs and will go after contraband ships. Still the cost of crews feels slightly off. Maybe setting different costs between the rates would help. It just comes down to spending the majority of my time doing tedious delivery missions or hitting trade ships rather than going out and attacking targets.
  14. PvP 2 US server Great Britain player. Since there is no competition with the alliances as they are, the group I play with have been either spending hours searching for PvP action or having to do missions. An issue I have noticed when doing the latter is when I have to hire crew almost all of my gold reward from the mission goes to the hirings. Crew costs just a bit too much especially for a player that only plays a few hours when he has the time. Now, I am not saying crews should be dirt cheap. I am only suggesting lowering their cost slightly or increase gold rewards for missions slightly.
  15. PvP 2 US server is the same way. Two biggest factions are in an alliance picking fights on the weaker faction. The politics system has backfired and needs to be removed or altered in some form.
  16. I am pretty darn new to this game. At the moment only 500xp from Lieutenant Commander. Now what I am suggesting is a video a few days before a patch is released revealing the changes and visually showung the changes in an upcoming update/patch. Also a developers blog. Something to keep what I find is a pretty loyal and interactive community interested and in the loop.
