  1. 1: with the Smuggler flag everyone can do that now..... Advantage removed by the Devs 2) how is this a game play advantage? It doesn't let us as pirates do anything you cant do... It is game play issue. the fact it is in gives the Pirates Zero advantage in a fight. as for with other nations with a friend and some planning you can switch sides in a a couple hours without losing anything.. you just move your stuff to a free port hand it over then log out create a new name after deleting old and get the stuff back... sure it is slower but still doable...
  2. Other factions should not see you with it on.... It is kind of silly that from a distance you can tell if a sailing ship is breaking the law:)..... You should actually appear in Open world as the same nation as is looking at you... ie your faking it to enter an enemy port so your not flying your national flag while doing it.... Just an idea...
  3. Maybe.. but since you can now just TP to it a will and check the warehouse plus you can check the dock from anywhere,,,, That is just asking for code to protect lazy
  4. No thanks... they ask you 2 times if your sure.... waiting till down time will make a slow moving game even slower... that means I have to decide today what I want to do tomorrow without knowing what the map will even look like in the morning No Thank You

  6. Easy.. 1 Dur for all ships... For teh OP.. I like all but the Changing ships after they are built with actual changes not upgrades.. that would be a coding night mare after the fact I think... Unless they redo the entire ship/damage model in teh future
  7. Why would you pay him and give him the mats? You give mats then when he trades the parts back he gets paid
  8. The only Pirate problem we have is the Devs made them a Nation and not pirates. The Problem now is that anything they do will be looked on by the carebears that don't understand what a Alpha Test is as a nerf and they will cry cry cry.. just like the nations have been doing. I still see national players crying about the advantages the pirates have... of which there are exactly ZERO now. Everything they complained the pirates could do they can no do. All of it..

That is why ALL goods being so transferred should be on the Open World AI or at least partly so... ie you send 1000 tons of cargo from X to Y.... and it will take 8 hours in game to arrive... the system can track the number of traders traveling that general route in that time... and adjust what doesn't make it based on the % of ships that fail to complete the run. In return the loot that fails to arrive is added to the possible loot in AI traders in the area... This will make it not a sure thing.... it will also give people a reason to join a attack on AI traders of their nation. They might be saving their own cargo....
  10. Just add a version of the Goods delivery system to the game for ships... For Everyone Outpost to outpost... for Nations add Capital or Regional capitals you own to outposts for Pirates from Capitals or Free towns to Outposts... Have ALL captured ships and cargo become AI sailing to the port you want them at.. If they arrive great.. if not oh well that's war and the sea. Please please Please do not have all crew killed in combat gone till ship returns to port.. You do this all that is going to happen is people will log off in post battle screen and wait to rejoin game.. since if they even think the other side has people waiting outside it is stupid to leave that screen. You want to charge us for recovery of crew fine.. pay the crew fine.. but if all crew lost in combat is considered dead 100% this will make teh game unplayable in open world
  11. Given normal at sea times of 2-7 days at sea seems like a waste of coders time.... when much more important things need work.
  12. Marines in at least the Royal Navy and US Navy assisted with guns(granted this was normally the swivel guns), repairs and manning the pumps ect.. But when the ship was in danger of sinking they pitched in.... They should in game also
  13. As it should sort of.... But remember if the need goes up enough the price the NPCs will pay for what they consume also should go up... So that would make an interesting line to walk... cut them off for a while to up the price then sell a bunch to make them happy again... BUT you have to be careful some other nation doesnt send in Smugglers to sell to them and make them happier with them;)

  17. I think only capping Trades to keep was a good move... Heck I would be happy with not getting the Trader ship if the entire cargo it was carrying transferred to my closest Warehouse.. then just pay me for the ship like for warships. But if we capture the final dura on a player ship it should include all installed none-human based upgrades... as I have mentioned before.. the Copper plating or extra Muskets didn't fall off.
  18. I agree.. but I think it should be a slight change in outposts... You should be able to TP your self between ALL ports your nation owns... but you can only have 1 ship in them Unless you have an actual outpost there..
  19. Just had a thought and not sure if I missed it in the responses.. But this losing crew and having to go back and hire more is going to make the Mission system basically worthless... I just lost 70 crew to gun fire on a Bellona through undamaged sides from range(over 250m) If we are looking at those kinds of crew losses you can just limit us to a single mission at a time no need for 3 now...
  20. Ones we took were pretty much like most of teh Gulf.. can't speak for teh Aussies.. on;y did a couple shallows with them and we had maybe 10-12 ships

I have no problem with limiting the ships sizes Pirates can build IF!!!!! the Pirate Frigate can be craftable and all other ships they can build are allowed to get the same kind of minor upgrades the Pirate Frigate got... They should also not be limited to ONLY using those ships... If a Pirate captures a 3rd rate or Connie or even a Santi they should be able to use it. If you raid or capture a port ALL the resources in warehouses and buildings and ships in dock should be captureable up to a limit of per player fleet size to sail back in a single run... ie if there are 25 guys that attack and 21 are left at the end... They can each capture up to 2-3 ships(based on devs decision on fleet size) Then fill those ships with cargo.... They can then burn the rest of the ships at the dock or offer the previous owners the chance to ransom them back same for production buildings and shipyards. Either way the port should be unusaeable to anyone for 24 real hours after it is raided or captured
  22. They already have that in teh fleet mechanic from lower rank... I would expect they just use same code with bigger ships... Although I would hope that if we get player fleets back they make it so they can NOT enter Group Missions or Port Battles... We do not want actual players blocked out because 2 or 3 guys have an extra 2-3 AI ships each... Player fleets shoul only be for Open World and Solo mission running JUst my 6 bits
