  1. Now also, if its like alpha, you will actually have 2 characters, you can do your mapping/crafting/exploring on the pve server all the while earning free exp from your pvp alter-ego on the pvp server. You'll just be limited to having the same name and faction. Actually how is it difficult? just takes more time, you have to choose... on how you divide your time between the tasks like EVERY other game out there. If you have time to swap character to craft, and then swap character to explore.. I don't see the difference...?
  2. 180+ watching right now... And its slowly rising.. Need a NA rehab clinic me thinks... or better yet just turn the servers back on
  3. I voted exploration and delivery missions. The majority of those currently playing are a combat centric group. There will be an large influx of players attracted by the trading and exploring possibility in a game like this, if they come in during EA and find they cannot progress without combat, it may turn these players away and they may never come back. Anyways, as far as navigation goes, I cried about the no way to locate myself thing the first 2-3 days, but since then I have learned to be constantly aware of my last landmark and my heading from it and my destination. On the last day prior to the wipe I sailed from Kingston to Bermuda, and didn't get lost, quite happy about that. The longest stretch, was 13 days at sea.
  4. picked up elite dangerous horizons.. but finding it a bit booring...
  5. Game is down in preparation for headstart and Early Acess on Steam coming later this week. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/8353-important-release-information-and-next-steps/
  6. But WOT is free to play, if one of you buys gold with real money the other doesn't get to spend it, there is a difference. As it stands you likely would be fine if one of you plays on pvp server and the other plays on pve server at least you would both get to play and you would actually help each other at least as far as exp goes. WOT is one character per account, if the game was pay to play you would have had to buy 2 copies to both play.
  7. You already do crafting xp, not combat xp (as it should be) separate trading exp if needed... i'd have no issue with that

The dayI got mine i did the same as you came on and said where's my key!! (at 10:05) Well I got mine around 10:25 or so..
  9. right click your little speaker icon bottom right on your desktop, select playback devices find yours, right click and select advanced tab.. try anything to see if it is improved.
  10. tried adjusting sound quality in windows? guessing you are both using windows 10..
  11. Yes please! allow me to stand on deck and not warp up the mast just because I looked to the bow of my ship..
  12. COme on, give us the freedom! ANd players named Steelsandwich sailing around vs my ship named 2girls1boat.. who cares? If there is to be some form of enforcement it has to be global.. Use report function for those easily offended..
  13. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/8301-important-announcement-regarding-maintenance-times-from-13-to-20-jan/
  14. Or just give those players not in the group of the tagger/tagged the option to join or not
  15. There are already no rules (or few) for your character name... so what difference is it going to make in the end.
  16. I'm using latest nvidia drivers on gtx 970 no issues...
  17. Or we could just name all the ships Renomee...
  18. Like clan tags, titles etc, perhaps permit a player tag that allows us to enter our ship name. It doesn't have to be painted on the ship, just another piece of info displayed when a player clicks on my ship at sea. To make it simple, apply it regardless of the actual ship I am sailing until I decide to change it.. Basically a player tag, selectable by the player which can be anything.. I am sure it could lead to some nasty things but hey....
  19. and of course.. eventually leading up to missions to supply ports with the resources they consume... eg: deliver 400 oak logs to Kingston
  20. Perhaps a relatively simple thing to add... non-combat missions (or not...) Tasked with delivering the mail, or VIP's and the like, experience earned based on distance, and type, perhaps vip's earning a bit more. Regular mail runs not so much. To take a little step further, add the possibility of enemy encounters along the way, and reward more exp should a player successfully get away or fight off the attackers.
  21. rumour has it neuts will go away, but it won't stop my US alt from putting something for sale at a free port, and my UK alt buying it..
