  1. It would be nice to see player statistics, even if only my own.. Battles fought/won/lost shots fired/hit/missed Fires started Damage done Damage taken Distance travelled Most used gun Masts knocked down goods traded cash spent cash won etc etc Perhaps by ship
  2. Just to stir the pot... and offer incentives for players to defect to the underdog(s)
  3. due to unlimited free captured ships, and cheap frigates there is very little risk in ramming a larger ship in an attempt to take it out of the fight.
  4. It can run at that resolution now. I treied it last night in open world, not tried it in a battle instance yet, I imagine the first person views might be a little funky. It is of course hard on resources at that res too. I spoke to Arnvald about this a week ago, and he said he would like to support multiple displays in the future, but that there are higher priorities at the moment.
  5. Kinda works, the sneaky player will plan ahead and move everything to a free port, but yes the reputations system needs to take this into account.
  6. When i purchased the game as a tester it was stated that testers get the yacht for $10 and everyone else will have to pay $20... So I'm guessing it will come around again. To be honest.. the basic cutter has stats as good or better all around, the yacht maybe a bit more stable and a little prettier and that's about it.
  7. Yes I'd think national forums, each with a 'marketplace' will have a place in the future, and may as well put it here as in the game.
  8. Deck view in battle. If I am in aiming mode at my guns and I turn toward the bow or stern of my ship i will be warped halfway up the mast... Can't I just look around from that same point without the weird warp.. I'd also like the default in OW to be deck level instead of mid mast as well.
  9. This one can't end well, in the age of multiple duras and cheap ships... Concessions will need to be made and this maybe one of them...
  10. Big fan of the raiding idea.. Why not reduce all resources of the raided port to 0, (and transfer to the lord protectors port of choice) and... reduce 1 dura from all ships in a port that was not successfully defended? representing burning/taking them. Can't think of a way to send those single dura's back to the pirates unless you gave the port attackers one dura each for the successful attack. oo now that would sting...
  11. In my opinion.. if at all possible the captured or surrendered ship should immediately be classed as friendly and penalties applied for shooting them applied accordingly (if not already)
  12. Not a fan of this idea at all.. BUT... I had thought all nation chat should be range restricted.. but then some twit decided to invent things like teamspeak...
  13. Guys just to clarify... when a new player joins he immediately has a 4hour timer, why not allow the new player only at their very first login to start with their teleport available, instead of having to wait 4 hours. Once he uses it he can have the same timer as everyone else.
  14. Currently a brand new player logs in heads out to sea to knock some heads!! hmm can't find anyone.. oops I can't see land.. Help Channel: <Newb>: Help, is there anyway to see where I am? <ProBob>: No, use yer compass and learn to navigate <Newb>: wtf I have no clue where I am.. <ProBob>: Use your teleport or sail west until you hit land... The French Newb.. player sails for an hour never sees land or another soul, and because his teleport still has 2 hour cooldown, he ragequits... Just saying, new players log in and have to wait 4hrs for a teleport, why not change it so they can TP immediately.. (just in case they need it)
  15. I'll vote yes to this when automated deliveries are removed, and players have to haul their own stuff at their own risk. Even as part of the largest faction there is hardly any pvp'n going on. Its a swarm around the capital clubbing AI, or a swarm on the way to attack/defend the next port. Not much else..
  16. i like this idea 30 day limitation and losing stuff left in prior nations ports makes sense.
  17. Sounds like a decent idea, perhaps take it one step further that if you are in the same group as the player tagging/tagged you have no choice. Any bystanders have the option to join or not. ​The first few days of EA may turn out to be real tough around capitals trying to escape the mayhem.

  19. or press m... using the map in battle you can tell if closing or not
