  2. Ok well its not immediate, if the price is 360 I've been sitting here waiting minutes for my contract to fill which is for 10 hemp at 360.. at a hemp producing port. NVM As soon as I put price at 361 it filled immediately
  3. All this stuff sounds all well and good.. but .. where's the hemp!!
  4. Conquest List in Map: It would be nice to see all port battles for the day listed including the successfully defended ports. At present it only displays the captured ports. Also, it would be nice to see the ports that currently have a battle ongoing.
  5. Yes its a minor snigglet I agree... How about ships get more weathered based on number of duras left? A 1 dura ship looks rather shabby etc, paint flaked, stained sails, algae growth etc Just a thought...

  7. I had a cool storm yesterday, a few over the weekend actually. They already reduce speed to half which is a good idea. I'd like to be able to see them coming if possible.. so that perhaps I can try to avoid. So long as they are infrequent (like current sunny days), I don't mind there being a little challenge perhaps mini game added to them.
  8. I'd be happy if the enemy has less than 10-20% of the crew required to man the ship he cannot disengage regardless.
  9. Could try playing with case, or even add an extra space .. sure that works..
  10. I have been capping traders and found they still disengage as normal.. perhaps that hasn't been patched in yet. Not had any strangeness in boarding actions with them but i usually have a vastly superior force.
  11. The 1st outpost is dirt cheap.. Thats all you need is the one more and you can do just as you do in kingston.. or wherever your starting nation is...

  13. I do not like this new idea for switching sides, i notice it does say temporary so hopefully that is all it is. I don't like sharing exp either. Please consider completely separating servers. And just in case I am misinterpreting.. will this allow me to maintain a pirate on one server and a national on another and when one earns exp so does the other? OR.. if i delete my character is it deleted across all servers I can just start a new character on any server with the exp i had before I deleted? So that regardless of server I can only have 1 character belonging to one nation at all times, not 2 different characters on 2 different servers?
  14. no as it is stated in one of the htreads you actually had to login once to each server you wished to have the redeemables available.
  15. Capture a few traders to get enough money for a ship of your rank. Shouldn't take too long to scrape up enough for even a cerb if you stick to the cutter to get the job done. (2-3hrs mebbe less if you get compass wood hauling traders)
  16. There are quite a few people struggling in missions with the basic cutter as given now even with better guns.. Missions need work on difficulty scaling, the current missions have been tuned for a more experienced group of players, the noob doesn't get a lot of consideration when first starting.
  17. yes you would have had to log in to pvp2 prior to the redeemables being given out if you wanted to also have access to them there.

Perhaps the solution is much like you see in many games when its time to destroy something or delete a character, you actually have to type "YES" to confirm you wish to commit and act that will make you a pirate. I have been helping a new player since yesterday, he came on this morning said hello, a couple of messages later, nothing.. I checked his info and he was now "pirate" which I know he didn't plan on. Because he likely didn't have the global social setting on he also could no longer chat to me it looked like. This is a significant issue that requires some attention.
  19. To be fair Recluse I have done this with 2 taps of the space bar. What happened was Arnvald was on the server and I was asking questions etc, and at some point I must have clicked on a friendly player. I then went back to chat, and started typing.. or thought I did... (I need to look at the keyboard) I look up and see the timer counting down!! Only then was I told I could keep hitting attack until I could get the player out of the circle. When you click a player in the open world, htitting the space bar 'clicks attack; and then the next tap of the space bar 'clicks confirm' I never saw the big warning come up because i was looking at my kb thinking i was typing something.
  20. Instead of jump gates on the open sea why not jump gates between Open World and the Battle Instances? One server hosting Open World, and several hosting the battles? or is this what already happens? Oops didn't get all the way through the thread before posting... I see others have the same idea..
  21. Just an idea that I have seen other games do when server capacity is an issue.
  22. When neither of you can login due to there being 15000 accounts on a server that can hold 3000... which would you prefer? To actually be able to play with him or not? ANd of note.. even if it were for a week.. it would likely help with the huge influx of players..
