  1. Really so sad to hear that: so many people choosing the easiest way, so many people joining the biggest in game faction :( every day. However I wish you well, chaps: I know you as a bunch of good guys and valiant sailors .

  3. He-he...this is by far the MOST STUPID reason to begin a war I ever heard...not to mention that you are really ruining the game for so many other players in the process...a game that is still in a alpha stage. Really guys...congrats: you have to be proud of yourselves .
  4. It's as Chimera said: you are not winning Naval Action, you are rather killing it . SORRY but I really can't see any medium/long terms benefits for Naval Action in extinguishing any playable factions during Alpha stage. Was a big mistake when Spain/Sverige were reduced to just one port and is a big mistake trying to destroy United States now. It's a PVP game, that's right, but our main goal should be to attract more people to it while testing it to improve mechanics. When one or more factions become unplayable, we drastically limit chances for new players to come in and enjoy our game. Enjoying, testing, winning, fighting are licit words/goals at this development stage, not "extinguishing".
  5. For God's sake: please keep the 2 minutes timer! We tested so many different timers and 2 minutes one is the best solution/compromise. I really hope it stays like it is now.

  7. I totally like the idea of different wind strenghts (would be a realism-based mechanic capable to give a role to different ships) !! About chasers I would say to respect realism/history of ships as much as it is possible: I disagree about removing or adding them to all ships, but could be cool to change how to keep ships engaged in instances: a distance-based system would be better and maybe less "gamey".
  8. Definitely a good idea: we had to find a way to make crew a valuable resource in game. That will surely affect one dura/ bigger ships (capped ones and 1st - 2nd rates in particular) and it's a good thing in my opinion. Let's test it also to find out how that change will affect PVP and Port Battles. I also hope that crew losses/replenishment mechanics and changes to Port Battles/new possible War mechanics could be a good chance to implement new specific mechanics for Pirates (obviously with peculiar advantages/disadvantages), in order to make them a more unique faction in game.
  9. Let me say just one thing: Porpoise is perfectly right! You are not Pirates anymore, you are doing politics, you are sailing Capital Ships, you are playing this game just like any other Nation out there, pursuing your own imperialistic aims and conquering most of the map. You even start using the same "mental categories" that are typical of Nations, considering maverick players or dissident group as "traitors". Please don't get me wrong, till you are allowed to do so you have all the rights to play this way (and you are doing a good job doing so, have to admit), but please stop complaining about people who can't call you Pirates anymore, who ask for a Pirate mechanics rework, or about those solo Pirate players who feels like their original choice was totally betrayed by the way your Nation is playing.
  10. Klava, dunno if Google translator is right. However, I agree with you: this is just a game (and a great one), but we are role playing a little bit. And yes, fighting against a great opponent like you is always fun .
  11. The most important thing is that we Brits finally started fighting as a true Nation. I'm a solo player and yesterdey I got involved in 4 different actions. Many other players did the same thing. I have to say "thank you" first of all to our clans (you really did a marvellous job guys ), then to our enemies. You Danes are such a strong opponent (chapeau to you) that you forced us to become better players and a true nation. Now I know that every single captain sailing alongside me is ready to fight till the last man, till the last ship to defend and protect every single bit of our land. Huzzah!!!!

  13. I have to admit, when I first read this thread title I was a little bit worried...then saw that image by Alictos...c'mon it was a true pirates massacre...and moreover you didn't take the port back...what I should say...I wish you pirates 1000 of such "glory days" !

  16. Ardithus, sono molto interessato ! Sto aspettando a giorni il mio nuovo pc e appena vedrĂ² che il gioco funziona alla perfezione e mi sarĂ² dotato di TS sicuramente ci risentiremo. Una domanda: avete intenzione di dividere gli squadron anche in base al periodo di gioco durante la giornata (mattina - pomeriggio - sera)? Nel caso va bene anche se non si ha precedente esperienza con altri giochi on line? In ogni caso in bocca al lupo per la vostra iniziativa!!!!
  17. I like the crossed swords marker . Just change its colour to red to make it more visible when it's foggy.
  18. Siegfried is right. Problem with Spain is evident and need to be addressed someway. It's up to the Devs to choose how to do that. It's OK for me if they will decide to change Spanish Capital position, rework some conquest mechanics or wipe Ports Map. We are in EA after all, and our first concern should be to improve the game and make it attractive for the largest audience possible once it will be fully released. Right now Spain is almost unplayable and would be a big mistake to leave things the way they are, considering we are still in EA stage. Captains, the good of the game comes first.
  19. Great patch !!! Looking forward to test all new features. I'm really happy with new crew management in instances, just hope it won't become too difficult to handle all that buttons during a battle !
  20. I agree 100% with OlavDeng2. I dislike mainly "point 4": it would be wrong to force people in some nations because it would kill one of the best features of this awesome game..."Freedom". Naval Action as it is right now allows all players to create their own life on the seas, being a merchant, a fighter, an explorer or (why not?), all these things at the same time. Being free to choose your favourite Faction/Nation is part of the fun. Please don't change that.
