  1. Can you give me the french definition of a fair fight pls? French using ai and being brave in a 30-20 battle but running in a battle with even BR, not once but on a daily basis for the last 4weeks. French even taking pride in this thread of striking dutch doing missions. And then cry wolf when we apply the same tactics??? There is word for this, originated from the french language: hypocrisy. Pls refrain yourself from accusing us of stuff you do yourself aswell and keep respectfull. Grtzzz Bubbles
  2. Hi, I want to congratulate the Danes for the great advances they made today. As far as the French worries about our superiour numbers, i just want to remind them that the last 4 weeks the Dutch and Danes have fought a 2front war without being able to help eachother. Times have changed now and i salute to our enemies that compliment us with our succes. We will be just as gracious in our victories as in our defeats, but wont respect ppl that take pride in attacking new players doing missions in our home waters. Those ppl will be walking the plank soon. Grtzzz Bubbles
  3. Hi, for the maps i would suggest the following. Port information is also including production ammount in port and maps can be shared/traded between captains. Especially when production ammounts vary overtime (cus another nation take it, players improve industries and/or population growth/decay) accurate and up to date maps become invaluable. That would stimulate cooperation and explorers can get some valuables for their efforts. Grtzzz Bubbles
  4. Hi, Enter small battle events as a group. The matchmaker will try to equalize the teams. Grtzzz Bubbles
  5. ----POPCORN ALERT---- i'll trade iron/hemp/oak/fir for a new bag. Its so funny to see ppl get all wound up by a BS thread... Jeez lads, it is only pixels and the interwebz, calm down. Trolls gonna troll, troll back or stay away, but never ever take it personal. Grtzzz Bubbles
  6. Hahaha First you play with fire, then you wonder why the house burns down. Cause and effect dude, plain and simple mechanics. You are either stupid or talking BS, either way just disqualified yourself. Grtzzz Bubbles
  7. Lolz, Im running out of popcorn here, can someone provide me some? Im pretty well informed about our nations negotiations, but this is all new to me. So pls tell me more about this devious scheming of DAS and TF against those poor frenchies, maybe it will cause a RIFT?!?!?!?!! need.more.popcorn.now Grtzzz Bubbles
  8. Dont worry about the unity of the United Provinces, we are doing fine. We will let our guns do the talking, no need for any negotations with any French captain or clan. Our Alliance with the Danes wouldnt allow us to have peace with your nation, so you could go full focus on them. We'll entertain ourselves with sinking French ships in our borders, see ya soon! Grtzzz Bubbles
  9. Wow Prater, good stuff If there is ever going to be a Pullitzer price for NA-reporting, I'll vote for you as the receiver! Grtzzz Bubbles
  10. hi, we've just recruited some fine fresh dutch troops to bolster our forces: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrtUKe5Q82w be afraid, be very afraid... Fear the mullet! Grtzzz Bubbles
  11. That is very good news! The coming days will be used to set up a base to operate from and Im pretty sure we can arrange some proper PB's from wednesday on. I would suggest the following groundrules: - At least 1 port per nation in the area will be free from attacks, so it can be used for creating flags. - Portbattles will be announced 24hrs ahead by a pm between the 2 nations. If possible can we discuss further details on ts tonight? I'll pm you as soon as I can estimate how late I'll be online tonight. Looking forward to this, lets test different setups of fleets and Regional capitals as they will come available after coming patch. Grtzzz Bubbles
  12. Hi, we are actually spicing up the shipmarket by getting more receipes ingame. I would love to see more crafted special ships in game, so ppl would care less about their precious little ship and wont run from most pvp. In ST most ppl went all yolo in pvp, ships were free, so why bother? Now in OW we have to search for hours to get a suitable ship, buy it at op-price or craft it ourselves. Since OW pvp is more a chase/be chased game, because ppl dont want to lose their dura. If ships are less scarce we might even get some of the ST courage back. As mentioned in both former posts, RNG with a small playerbase will reduce chance on receipe spawns. Therefore more running, are we also testing if that still works? If sols are supposed to be rare, it is not because of their receipe, but of the huge amount of resources. The irl victory used some 9000 oak logs, the crafting version doesnt even get close to that number. Cmon guys, get with it and get those receipes Lets test the breaking up & spawn receipe thing. Admin already stated that it is allowed as it isnt a rule breaker, so get over your moral pride. Grtzzz Bubbles
  13. Its the receipe I care about, current chance is too low. Just increasing the chance, as it is available right now I suggest you do the same. I dont want an increased chance of receipes, this will work fine when this game goes live and we will get more players and more spawns. Im pretty sure everyone is attacking smaller ai fleets with the expectation of a respawn, or did a pvp with someone with the agreement that no ships are sunk. This is just a variant on it and we still have to board the ship that we capture, so it is still a battle. Grtzzz Bubbles
  14. Hi, Yes, I and others are duplicating ships atm. As admin had stated earlier in this post, it is an exploit to be removed with the next patch. That being said and in the open, it means this is a chance to some of the coveted receipes. A chance for us all... What we are doing here atm? We are testing a game, battles, exploits, crafting and in future portbattles. With RNG deciding wether you get a receipe, we should take on every chance on those. Port battles will come up and wont do much good in 74's. To properly test the port battles, sol's have to be in game, preferably sailed by all nations. RNG will create an economy on its own when the playerbase increases, currently it is a lot harder to get a sol receipe. That is why I will exploit it as long as it is allowed and possible. I have a suggestion for assuring sols in portbattles: Maybe a few redeemables should be given to crafters of lvl 45 without sol receipes, just for spreading the goodies fair and square and leveling the playing field. In the end I want a balanced, fair game going into the market, at this moment we are just providing data and feedback to the Devs, all our spoils are going to wiped anyway. If there is something immoral about those motives pls let me know. Grtzzz Bubbles
  15. Hi, All for this player to player trade function. Put contracts out for one specific player and be able to buy/sell resources, materials, upgrade modules, ships and receipes. It will make coop between ppl more usefull because both can fulfill their part in their own time. Grtzzz Bubbles
  16. Mwah, I personally keep products of the same kind together, frameparts, rigging, fittings all grouped up. Current way enables ppl to personalize their warehouse, dont see the need for an alphabetical order. Besides, how can this function be any good for ya uneducated and illiterate pirates? :-P Grtzzz Bubbles
  17. :-( Trolls on the internet, cant live with them, cant kill them either... To block this abuse I would suggest following rules: - every player has to agree with the suggested setup by clicking an ok box before the battle starts. - trolls can be removed from battleroom if all other participants mark him as a troll. This rules set is still open for abuse, I realize that, just looking for a way to keep the trafalgar-tradition up and running without the hassle of sailing to Plymouth or losing partcipants because of balancing issues. Grtzzz Bubbles
  18. Hi, Although fighting per nation is part of the fun, I wouldnt mind remove it temporarily, cus it will increase participation. Long term: In ST there were the battle rooms, so ppl were able to assemble the teams themselves. Isnt that the easiest way? grtzzz Bubbles
  19. Hi, Once again a great battle! Unlucky enough once again some ppl were randomly left out. In the lobby there were 18dutch, 7 brits, 7 danes and 2-3 french, us and pirate players and 1swede, in total about 44 players. When the game started we were with 2 well balanced teams of 19 each, but some were left out :-/. Seems like the battlemaker favours balance over full participation. Personally I would prefer a system that allows anyone to join, but balances on amount of guns brought to the game instead of ship per ship parity. In this case for example a 20-24 line up would suffice with bigger ships on the outnumbered side. Another way to solve this would be an overview in the lobby that shows the amount of ships per type per nation. So via ts we can arrange the line up ourselves. All in all the current system saves everyone a lot of time compared to the old "Plymouth" days, it just needs some finetuning I guess. Grtzzz Bubbles
  20. Hi, Navigating in the OW is a challenge and I love the scary part where there is no land insight and you are already some days at sea. For newer players it is common to get lost at least once, didnt we all? Back in the day, the Navigations officer would take his sextant out at noon and establish the position of the ship. Wouldnt it be a cool feature in game when: At 12am ow-time a message would popup and you could see your rough position on the ingame map? Grtzzz Bubbles
  21. Hi, Small events take place every 3hrs and are scheduled 30mins prior to the large events. We can use global chat to see if and how many ppl are up for it. Grtzzz Bubbles
  22. Dont forget to change the name of silver in to silver ore aswell! Grtzzz Bubbles
  23. Hi, TP is exploited nowadays, all strategic goods are tp'ed around ports, that is true. Also not everyone has the time or enjoys an hour sailing per day. So why not compromise and have: -TP captain only once per time X, ships stay in port - hire AI-traders for hauling goods - escort ai traders if needed or hire captains TP a captain makes the game still playable on such a huge map, but resources should move physically around the map, so intercepting in OW gets a bit more purpose. Grtzzz Bubbles
  24. Hi, I do agree with letting AI do the tedious hauling between ports, but... with the current crafting system, hours are the real economy, I believe that getting all supplies in all ports (with an economy based price) will make it easier to get to supplies, as long as someone is willing to pay the price. right now its even more of a challenge to get supplies and hours together at the same plcae&time and I like that a lot. also the current port layout will provide you with all needed supplies in your vicinity, wich enables some organisation in an area, thus group/clan/nation. so I wouldnt like the 'all available in ports" option, but maybe Im to hardcore on that though... That having said, contracting AI to do the actual hauling of supplies or materials would be great, just for avoiding those hauling-runs as a player. as for incentive, we just have to wait how the portbattles will develop, I believe that with the current spread of resources those portbattles will increase options as all clans will go (re)arrange their own territories. Dividing the map into 4-6 resources central areas will increase pvp in those critical points, but will get bored after a while. So lets wait fr portbattles b4 we look at the economy. Grtzzz Bubbles
  25. Once you've reached lvl 25 and want to craft frigates the warehouse is way to small. The only workaround to concentrate all resources in one port is by using an extra tradership. So a warehouse expansion is a musthave after reaching the frig-crafting lvl. Grtzzz Bubbles
