  1. What difficulty are you playing? There are many ways to win a battle. In normal difficulty I went into that battle with the first deploy block I put one 4th rate ship and then three 7th rate explosive barrels ships to use them to take out some of those big ships in that battle which helped out a lot. In the second deploy box I put in four 5th rate ships and used them to gang up on any ship near them. Sounds to me you went into that battle with only 4 ships? I went in with 8 although three would blow up which is what I wanted. I imagine if you don't have a lot of ships by this point in the campaign it may be a struggle. If you can make a sloop or cutter fire ship it can turn the tide in a battle such as this one. Although I had plenty of ships to choose from but I did pick those 3 fire ships to wipe out the big ships but of course you have to get close to the ship without being destroyed before getting to the enemy ship to set it on fire so that is always tricky.
  2. Just to confirm are you saying if we follow what you wrote above we can keep the music playing in our video of the game? It will just take a few days for it to resolve in our favor? Also just a note that I turned off the music in the game yet when a battle ends some of them play short winning song that gets copyright.
  3. Yes, most music will be copyright so you will have to remove it if you don't like seeing that or if you want to get money from ads if you're big enough on you tube. I remove it in game and yet it still plays something when you win a battle which will have to be removed or muted on you tube for I don't like seeing that either. I have to say I am not sure but I think if a DEV puts music into the game I would assume they pay for it and every copy sold, prove me wrong if I am wrong on this. But if so as I wrote this if I am correct I don't like that music people get more money just because we put us playing it on you tube. All I am saying is music people are the greediest people on earth just remember this is just my POV and you will not change my view just as I won't change your view on this subject.
  4. Yes I have noticed that too and reported it. When out on ocean little boats won't deploy seems like it says high seas even though my ship is anchored..
  5. This is a side note not related but I would like to know what do you mean about bonus missions? I see ? marks and assign ships to it and after a turn or two I get a result but I don't get to play it? I listed 18 battles I faced in the Britain campaign so are you saying there may have been a bonus missions I missed out on? Or sometimes at the end of a battle you get a letter to make a choice so when you do that do you somehow get a bonus mission? As you can see I am not sure so that is why I am asking.
  6. My issue is in the US as confirmed in the Naval Blockade X9 I failed it. I did do a F12 but I was in an angry state that I couldn't deploy a unit to take back my ship so please forgive me for that. For this battle I think it has a MAJOR flaw in the EA game. My point is; this great ENTRE game played pretty good for me until this crazy superman speedo transport battle, no other battle behaved like this one although to this point I already completed the Britain campaign. However, I have saves so I can replay any battle if you need me to try it now? I will list all the battles that I faced in the Britain Campaign on Normal Difficulty. Rule the Waves, Dinner for Admiral, Priority, Snakes and Powder, Crossfire, Second Wave, Fireworks, A Hunter and Prey, Snatch, Ontario Express, Clash, Harm Rum, Capture of Savannah, Intelligence, An Ambush, Objects in Motion, Blockade, and The Final Frontier. For me that was 18 battles so far. If you can tell me which battle has the transport mission I could play it again all I am saying is when I did play the Britain Campaign whether maybe I might of had to replay a battle to succeed but I was able to do that unlike this US Naval Blockade that I failed 9 times in a row in it's current state. Thanks again for looking into this! Keep up the great work and I understand it is in development but sometimes I like this game so much I get carried away.
  7. Guess what folks, I just tried another 3 times on normal difficulty Naval Blockade and I am telling you, you should fire whomever came up with this battle. First off, I send 3 war ships at about 12 nots with the wind trying to cut off that 1st transport. I use one cutter with explosives to destroy the one protecting it because I don't that ship interfering with my 3 ships on a race to the border. I tried 9 times and it gets away but one time I had one ship reach it by luck but that 80 super men on it wiped my 160 ship and then went to the border. I even tried to deploy from my 2 nearby ships to take my empty ship back and stopped movement and they would not deploy said high sea and that made me mad so at that point I only had 2 ships left which is pointless. If you wanted us to catch that 1st transport then you should make it so we can. Simply as that. If you're left to go after the other two then that is even more ridiculous. I can tell you how it goes you get blasted by their war ships and the two transports hang around and those 80 marines on them are like supermen that shoot your ships crew get shocked and every time I been there my ships surrender and campaign ends. DEV you really screwed up this battle. I have 9 videos showing failure on what should be an easy battle. The game tells you capture one and retreat and it shows you one alone with 1 war ship so that is the one that the game thinks you should be able to get it but they made it the fasts ship on that ocean and they put 80 supermen with special powers that shoot and shock any ship that gets close while it sails away out of bounds. I want to know why this is so? In every other battle in this entire game so far does not behave like this. Now, I do realize at this point in the campaign I don't have the tech for boarding kit however in every other battle if you have the numbers you can take over a ship in general maybe not all the time but most of the time. I played Britain campaign all battles on easy and normal and partly on hard and won every battle in the campaign to date. Because I done that I am familiar with the game. I now am playing American campaign and won every battle on normal difficulty until this battle I even played the next battle after this one which is Norfolk and can win it but then it is this one in waiting for me to do it but I fail every time and then my campaign ends in failure. I keep trying because I am hoping to get somehow lucky enough to get past this stupid battle and continue the campaign. Why should this battle be the one thing that stops my campaign? I love this game and want to continue playing it. I may try it some more in vain and will be back complaining about it probably.
  8. Thank you. I have 6 videos of my failure which I won't put on you tube because I end up swearing into it so I will delete them but what I wrote is so true so you can read my discuss with this mission. Thank you again for wanting to look into this for this is not a bug report it is brought up cause I can't continued the campaign although I could avoid this battle and do the Norfolk mission instead of this one but I don't know if then the game would force me to do this one in order for me to move on which would be a nightmare as I mentioned.
  9. Hey, I just tried it 2 more times and I have to say the DEV needs to make those 3 transports slower than 12 nots and needs to not put SUPER marines of 80 men on those ships. They lose 1 or 2 men and I lose hundreds of men and 2 ships also those marines shoot muskets at my ship as it approaches and my 160 men get into shock well why don't my men shoot muskets at that 80 and hurt at least 1 of them? It sucks to shoot cannon at that ship and not 1 marine dies on that transport yet they shoot muskets and kill and shock a lot of my men. Plus it seems the transports are way too big and way too fast and my 12 nots war ships can't catch them. If I even get close they shoot muskets at me and pull away making this mission a nightmare. For me this is a game breaking battle, it ends my campaign in failure and I can't progress. I won every battle but this one so what does that tell you? For me, it needs to be balanced in such a way an average player under normal difficulty should be able to figure it out how to win that battle or at least be able too. I think Naval Blockade is ridiculous. That 1st transport is the one we should be able to get fairly easy for the other two are protected by too many war ships let alone if you had only that one transport to deal with it would take all 4 of my ships to take it over and that of course depends on even if all 4 ships could even catch up to it. To say that I am pissed off about this is an understatement. I don't feel like playing an easy American campaign just to see if I could get through this battle and move forward in the campaign. To make a battle such as this one based on luck and game breaking is silly. The game tells you to basically get one and retreat so make the dame mission possible to get that 1st transport so we can at least have that so we can move on and if a great player wants to get the other two then let them have that challenge on their own or up to each player but don't make this so hard that a average player can't win it. So now I tried that battle 6 times in total and failed. What's would be so bad in your DEV eyes to at least give us a fair chance to capture that 1st transport so we may decide at that point for those whom would want to retreat and move on in the campaign and for those whom want it harder let them be the ones that would go after the two protected transports but as you have it now it is nearly impossible for me to even capture one now maybe there will be someone that can do it but what about the many that won't be able to do it and when they get to this part of the campaign and can't move on and if they could at that point refund the game they probably would so for me it seems like it is too hard to accomplish and that is game breaking in my POV.
  10. I agree with you. First I will mention, I won every battle in the current British campaign normal difficulty. At this current time I won every battle in the American campaign up to and I am stopped at Blockade where you have to board at least one of the three transports that seem to have 80 Super fighting marines on each of them and the game tells me that I need to get at least one of them and then run away. I lost this battle 4 times in a row and I will keep trying which might be madness for me which is not what a game should be. It looks like the way they set this up is we need to get that 1st transport however the AI has the wind and is put in the right place to out run me to the border. No matter what ship I place 1st I can't cut that ship off, also that 1 war ship interferes with my ships so that 1st transport retreats off the map every time or has such a lead it always runs off the map. How many times must I try to get lucky enough to catch it? The other two transports come with several war ships to protect them and I tried many times to board one, I had 2 ships onto boarding one of them so I had about a total of 360 men between the 2 ships and that transport only lost 3 men and wiped out my 2 ships and the AI captured my two ships. I know those other war ships are blasting away at my ships while I am trying to board which does play a part in me losing and that is why that 1st transport is so important which must be the key to success which I can't obtain at this point. I must say we are not suppose to have a big battle here to fight all those war ships while the transports retreat and even if I am lucky enough to catch one of the last two I already mentioned what happened and I lose. The main point of this battle looks to me is to get one and run and the DEV teases us with the 1st transport but give us no good fair way to get it and the other two are super protected by a bunch of war ships and have SUPER British marines on all of them., so what gives? I would vote that this is the worst battle set up in the campaign. I know someone on here told the DEV they wanted the AI to have the wind and make it so if we don't have a super fast large enough ship then let the AI run away and beat us and I think that is just what the DEV did. I know these are bold statements and I am not the best player but if I find a way to beat every battle so far but not this one does that make me a bad player overall or is this battle hosed?
  11. @WilliamTheIII UGCW is my favorite game my story told is that I could beat it on COL BG MG before Darth bragged on his last patch to the game he made the AI harder and for some reason you can blame me for at that point I can never beat the game again on MG or Legendary and even using Panda's UI mod. Maybe I am not that good or not that patient like they are when I read their notes or watch their video's, I think I like action instead of pause. That being said this may give you a little of where I am coming from. My whole point is if the DEV only suck's in everybody whom wants a much harder game then of course that is what will happen and maybe it will be a bit like UGCW and I maybe OK playing on Normal. You have some good idea's but all of this was just a POV hoping to have a much better game without making it too hard that an average person may or may not enjoy. I agree with you that most people don't want to be bored and my hope is this will all be worked out over time. Have a great day!
  12. @williamThelll I am not struggling with the game. Sure I had to learn it. I have played a few campaigns through the final frontier and what I am pointing out is when I read stuff here that some people write I just wanted to point a few things I am aware of. I read. someone wanted to make us not have the wind, have more enemy ships or put limits of time in order to complete a mission, or make it so if you are not fast enough and don't have the wind to get to a ship in order to capture it and it will give you a draw or lost. Sure we want a challenge so we feel we accomplish something and get a feeling of a reward but there is a fine line when it comes to that kind of stuff. Yes, the more you play the better you get but you can say that about UGCW too, yet many people refunded that game though mainly about the 1st battle of North and South noted. So are you trying to tell me that there should be no difference between easy. normal, and hard difficulty? Also, if you happen to be one of the niche RTS Gods out there can you claim that you know what the average player will be able to do in this game? I enjoy and support this game but when everybody here puts their 2 cents in sometimes the DEV might cater to the small group. Dev's make games because they love it but they also want to make money. I play a lot of games like many do and there is a big difference between easy normal and hard on most games. Rome II, had a ton of different difficulties I think even the last one where you couldn't save the game and I beat them all. I know the game is in development and will get better over time, polished and balanced. I just want Darth to make this better than what he did in UGCW and if he does that this game will sell to the masses instead of just a small niche group.
  13. I guess you guy's get to play missions I am not aware of in my game but I would like to state terms in general even though this game is still in development. Be aware that is you make battles way too hard even on easy just take a guess on how many people will refund the game within the two hours window on steam like they did with UGCW? How much money did the DEV lose because of catering to the niche group instead of the masses? The reason I bring this up is, what is easy for someone may not be easy for everybody. We all want a great game and games in general are to have fun. If someone thinks easy is too easy then go play Normal or Hard but don't try to make easy punishing.
  14. I would like to know that info too. I don't understand officers on the ships. I played two campaigns easy and normal. The normal I went all the way to The Final Frontier in the Britain campaign and I do not have 1 officer on my 13 war ships and 2 war transports, and 1 non war transport so for a grand total 16 ships I have no officers with any perks? Yet, as for my marines I have a few units that have 1 or 2 perks each. Yesterday, the game downloaded a patch and for some reason I was able to play the American Campaign so I started a normal play. Got through Bunker Hill and I could only put in 2 marine units and at the end of that battle those two fresh units turned in from that battle 3 perks each to my surprise. My conclusion is, infantry can get perks easy but ship crew for me has no perks yet so I don't know what I am doing wrong. The funny thing is, today, I deleted my saves for the American Campaign for I wanted to start it over again and now that I know a little about it so today the game updated and now the American Campaign is disabled to me and I can't play it so why did they give it to me yesterday and took it away today? Had I not deleted my saves I could of loaded it to play some more oh well I can wait.
  15. I agree with you, yes boarding is faster than trying to sink a ship and with a boarding kit on your ship as an upgrade helps too.
  16. I think if I am right about which battle you are talking about? The ship that you need to destroy plus capture the supply ship? If so this is how I do it on easy and normal difficulty. I only bring in two ships. I think the names are Ferret and Mercedes, and I send them with the wind to cut off the one I need to destroy so I end up trying to board it with my one or two ships once I capture it I then send them to take the supple ship which I think only has 25 personnel on it so it is easy to take it. Once you do that the mission ends. No need to fight that extra ship.
  17. Recently I started that mission with 7 ships deployed and I had 1 in my harbor left behind. In that battle I captured all 4 of the AI ships but prior they sunk 1 of mine then later in the battle while I was fight for the gold two AI cutters sunk two of the ones I captured and 1 of my regular ships before I could retreat them to safety. The end result is either way I should of still had 7 ships accounted for from that battle, 4 were on the ocean at the end of battle and three I retreated, that equals 7. I only got 2 ships back from that battle in my harbor and I did have 1 ship in my harbor that never got into the battle so either way my harbor should of had 7 ships that needed repair along with the only ship that was not in the battle which total is 8 ships in my Navy so the game stole 5 of my ships so after snatch my navy is 3 ships. I have the video online as proof!
  18. I can attest to the fact that I don't use transport ships to directly board a ship anymore for every time I did that and for an example my transport ship had 300 marines on it along with the crew, and I tried boarding a war ship I don't remember the type but it had a sailor's crew of about 120 and to my surprise within a minute I not only lost the ship but also the 300 marines. Are you telling me marines suck in sea battles? Or do they not participate in boarding they just stand around watching while the 120 sailors beats up my little crew? It was shocking to see the 120 ship of sailors beat up my crew and 300 marines in seconds while they then deploy a little boat to capture my transport and that is why I don't use transports that way. I have used a transport ship to dump out the marines so they can reinforce my war ship that is boarding an enemy ship when it's depleted enough the marines can join onto my war ship to continue the boarding and that worked out in that case.
  19. I posted in a other area however in Priority on medium difficulty I captured the frigate Libra that had 280 sailors on it. I used the Mercedes with a boarding kit and a support ship that had 2 marine units to back it up but my question is I can't unlock that Libra frigate with 23 rep at this time and all the game wants me to do is sell it for 5 rep that darn ship is worth over 13K and has a weight limit of 790 or so pounds so I want that ship and not sell it for a lousy 5 rep. So how much rep do I need to unlock it? I think we should get some rep along with some money to give up all the ships we may capture. I find it hard to sink ships so I prefer to board them though I take huge losses doing so and my point is give us something like a percentage of rep and money for each ship we sell but not full price maybe half or something like that. Think of the guns too, I hate that 100 pound limit of that sloop ship we are given at the start so I unmount the guns and then sell that ship for the same price it was before I dismounted the guns. So why should we not get money for all that we sell or capture anyway? Also, when you start the Britain campaign one of the questions for perks you answer say's you get +100 rep per battle and that is (click bait) after you finish the battle and at your officer page you see 1 hash mark in the rep field that shows you have a +1 rep point per battle not +100 yet the reward is 25 rep after that 1st battle and not 26 rep for me for I choose that ? perk to start with. So that ? perk at the start should not show +100 it should show +1 rep when you answer that ?, plus it should honor it so when I finish that battle I should have 26 rep instead of a regular 25 rep seeing I picked that perk at the start of the game. Just pointing it out.
  20. Howdy. I'm playing backer 4 medium difficulty and for me I faced 3 frigates of 280 sailors on board and I had the Mercedes 180 sailors along with a support ship that had 2 marine units of 100 each on it and the Mercedes had a boarding kit so eventually I captured that huge frigate that is worth over 13K and all the game wants me to do in the harbor is to sell it for 5 rep. I played a few more battles and have 23 rep why won't the Libra unlock most ships below that class unlock with 10 or 15 rep how much rep do I need to unlock and keep that ship? Or am I too early in the campaign where I am not suppose to have that ship?
