  1. Each of us have a POV about every battle in this game. This battle tells you when the two 74 gun ships get here it's time for you to get away so without a safe red zone this is already a botched save fleet objective. If you look at the goals it doesn't say eliminate fleet it only shows SAVE FLEET! Again this alone is a broken objective surely you shouldn't have to sail around and around and around until the 5 hours ends even then I don't think it would end. You should make a red zone in this battle and make another objective like we have to destroy a certain ship. No one should go into this battle thinking at some point you can sail to a border and win for you will get a defeat and it won't accept that you saved your fleet.
  2. In the past few weeks I have noticed boarding is a hit and miss type thing and seems to be more complicated. So many times it happens to me too. It takes forever to line it up and many times the ship gets away and sure sometimes I don't even get the menu to transfer and instead I have to drop a boat to claim the ship I just captured.

As for cost to me there was always a cost for an upgrade for me to put on a ship but when it comes to the weight then you may be right about some but not all because I would always have to put the tech about cannon carriage to save some space on a ship so I could put another upgrade on the ship. I played this game a ton so I know other than the free American explosive barrels there was always a cost of money for an upgrade to a ship most of the time.
  4. Interesting. In the American campaign I noticed the first tech you gave us for free was explosive barrels and it seemed free to put on a ship which I thought was odd at the time. So I guess what you are saying now is all the upgrades do have a cost as well as a weight issue when you put it on a ship so what you mean is it is now correctly accounted for. I do agree it makes it much harder but maybe you could scale the weight down a little?
  5. Well I think that is stupid. At the start of the battle on the screen it shows you need to eliminate the enemy but when you look at the objective in the goals menu it says save fleet so how are you suppose to save your fleet without destroying all the enemy like those two 74 gun ships? If you are worried about a player just starting a battle and then sailing away with their fleet instead of fighting at all then you could require as an objective to have to at least destroy a certain ship in that battle before a player could then sail away so what you are saying to me is whether if I could not destroy all those ships then somehow I am suppose to sail around until the timer goes down what fun would that be? Only in this battle you are told to fight which I did then at some point when you can't win and the only objective is save fleet so in any other battle you can sail to a red zone or a border and retreat to save your fleet. All I am saying is I fought that 5 hour battle sunk one, capture two and retreated to the borders and the battle gives me a defeat and I think that is stupid compared to all the other battles. I guess my answer will be for this particular battle I will have to send a few explosive barrels to knock out those two 74 gun ships then I will deal with the rest which it seems this battle is forcing me to fight to the death seeing at some point it doesn't respect the save fleet retreat which is this case is a not working right save fleet. All the other battles have true objectives and clear red zones and such.
  6. Half of all my ships are now over weight when before this update none of them were over weight so what has changed to make that happen?
  7. I sent a F11 however I would like to know if anybody destroyed all the enemy ships in this battle? I captured flores and thresa and sunk one of the two giant ships then decided to retreat and got a defeat is that normal or is there a certain place to send all the ships for it says this is not a battle we can beat all the enemy ships?
  8. I have noticed that too. I know what class of ship I capture and sometimes not all times the crew I transfer to the ship stays but if I have a few boats on the ocean and want to put more sailors onto that ship I captured it seems it won't let me so I have to send the boats back to the ship they came from. The icon on that captured ship when you select a unit to go into that ship is the same icon when you have a ship that is full and you can't put anymore on it even though that ship I capture only had 50 on it when it could hold 225 or more.
  9. I don't know if the design is bad? You can't make a game that is 100% historical anyway but I don't want them to drop the ball on this game. Whether they give us too much weapons after Bunker Hill or not shouldn't be a reason to prevent us from gaining all that we capture because it is just not FAIR compared to the sea trophy's we get. All I want is equality between sea and land battles and the goods and or rewards we get for doing a good job in the battle. Most people agree American campaign is harder. I mean it costs us REP sometimes to upgrade our crew or infantry. They will have to balance things but there is no way this game is ready for steam. They still have two POI's that will give us a second wounded game mission. For, a lot of battles the report doesn't reflect what happened in the battle. The objectives are red instead of green, people and things captured are missing and not properly accounted for, sometimes officers are not accounted for, stats show one thing goods show less or something else and not giving us what we captured yet the stats may show it. I could probably write a book about all the things wrong with the battle report alone and I think frankly the moment they made one battle and made the stats mechanic should have been resolved to work right from the start so when you add the next battle things like that should run like a train on a track, nice and smooth. I think it is an oversight as to why those things don't work right and I will bet some may never be corrected and they will put this game out just like they did with UGCW and they will walk away and move on to something else and then that's when you will do what you do always! Sorry for the rant! LOL
  10. OK yesterday I played a new campaign and I can confirm that if you still do a certain POI which is a Naval Patrol which I try to do all of the POI's so that is probably why I hit it again. It's the one about Hancock and if you forget to answer the letter it's just cloak and daggers and do the one that is for Hancock you will get the 2nd wounded game battle so as of 1/28/2020 it is still not fixed meaning the DEV has two POI's that will give you the same battle wounded game even when you already played it. I did a F11.

Well I hope so Panda and I also hope that you as a modder should know of all the problems in UGCW that never worked correctly when the game was finished so I don't want this new game to be like that old game. Part topic and not. No cannon tech in after 22 battles in two campaigns so I can't produce a cannon unit. A month or two ago when we captured a unit like cannons or supply wagons we got them as goods or as a unit which was a feature the DEV put into this new game unlike in UGCW where we only got a small percentage of the guns of the units we destroyed or captured. I don't know if everybody here could vote to the DEV? What you gave us and took away let's bring it back or whatever you would like? I can understand if we don't have cannon tech we can't make a unit but if that is then we should be able to keep all the guns so they should show up in the goods report. If we want to pick apart that battle report that maybe 60% of it might be correct there is so much missing from what really happened in the battle I am not talking about one battle I am talking about the whole game of battles. If I capture 19 guns all those guns should be in the goods report without any effort by me other than capturing that unit. If we capture a cannon unit it becomes ours and we can use it to fight the enemy, therefore it is ours and we shouldn't have to abandon the unit to get some guns. I just did that in a battle and I captured 19 guns so I abandoned them all and I only got 3 guns in the goods report which is better than none however I feel I should have all 19 guns in the goods. I recently captured 500 infantry and I kept them all on the filed and the game reports none missing and I got no rifles and in this case I think I should get credit for capturing that many and I should have had all those 500 rifles if Washington's army captured 500 British and 19 guns he would have just that 500 rifles and all 19 guns and that would be realistic. In a sea battle we get all the ships we capture so in a land battle we should get all the guns, all the supply wagons and all the rifles from all prisoners that we capture and that is the way it should be. Why do we have to detach from a unit now just to get a very small percentage of the guns we capture? As for the random tech, how much tech does each of us need or want? I wanted boarding kits for a long time and finally the DEV put them into the American campaign so now I have them but why no cannon tech yet? When I first bought this backer build I got all kinds of guns so I want them back I mean thank GOD we can still can capture cannons in the battle and use them in to fight the enemy for I think if we didn't have them it would make some of the land battles nearly impossible to win.
  12. WOW you got cannons in your armory what's the secret? I played 22 battles in a new American campaign and I didn't get the tech for cannons and although I captured every cannon in every land battle I didn't get any in the goods report zero.
  13. I guess I didn't understand. Are you saying I need to release my marines from the cannon unit that I captured before the battle or timer ends in order for some percentage of the guns will be in the battle goods report and they will show up in my armory which if I don't have the tech to build a cannon unit but at least I could sell them for money? I been playing two new campaigns on two computers so when I have the same problem on both of them something is not right. As for units converting from before or not now I don't care that they may have removed it. I was upset for not getting the tech for cannons and not getting any cannons from all those land battles. I only get rifles in the whole campaign that is why I reported this. I guess I will try and play another land battle and I will release the men from it by the end of battle and see if I get any. Seems a little off on what it should be like in NASSAU I captured 19 guns and didn't get any so I just wish the DEV would fix/set or change it so what we capture we get to keep it. When it comes to a sea battle we capture a ship and it becomes a trophy so why can't that be the case for land battle when we capture cannons what we capture we should get them as goods. We get rifles so why not guns too?
  14. I like the idea of the POI to resolve in one battle turn instead of the end of chapter turn or waiting until the last battle.

My own units that capture cannon units are always in the battle to the end and all I am saying is I get none back into my armory as a reward all I do get back is rifles and this was in a new campaign so I am saying something has change when it comes to cannons and all I want to know is why?
  16. Who are you to tell me what I know or did or did not? When I go into a land battle in a brand new campaign after all the updates and I am telling you I know what my units are compared to the ally units so I only use my units to capture the enemy cannon units and all I am saying is in 22 freaking battles I did not get the cannon tech nor did I get any of the freaking guns as a reward in my armor which would be realistic. Why do I get plenty of rifles from the battle but no cannons at all? If you want to say I am hijacking well I don't care what you think and I will tell you I may put it anywhere to get a freaking answer or a response. It's my right!

Yeah, I ran a new campaign and got through Valcour but what I am saying is how can I go through 22 battles and in every land battle I captured all of the enemy guns and I am saying something is messed up for none of those guns get into my armory as a reward which is not realistic and I would even say that George Washington would agree with me if he had a unit that captured enemy guns he would have them and would keep them in his army. Why no guns, do you have this issue or did the DEV nerf cannons just to make the game harder for us?
  18. Random is one thing but getting two light infantry draws in your choice of the three is not random good that's more like playing a slot machine. I played 22 battels in the American Campaign and not once did it give me the cannon tech so I think that is crap. I suppose the DEV nerfed the cannons anyway to a negative for in 22 battles which I am not sure how many are land battles but for what I am saying is in every land battle I capture one to three cannon units. In one battle, my marines captured 18 guns making three cannon units which realistically I should of had all 18 guns put into my armory as a reward and I am telling you in the whole campaign not one gun in all those battles made it into my armory. I would like to know if anybody else noticed this? A month ago, you could use your marine unit to capture a cannon unit and then your marine unit would turn into a cannon unit on your transport ship even though you didn't have the cannon tech but now with the updates that won't happen. The hard DEV must of nerfed it and hey that might be ok maybe if you didn't have the cannon tech then why should you be able to obtain a cannon unit which might make sense but what is not realistic is not allowing us to keep the guns we capture so none make it to the armory as a reward. Whether you have the tech or not you still should be able to capture and keep the guns in your armory and if you destroy a cannon unit on the field I can see maybe like in UGCW you get a percentage of the guns but why I am getting zero of them is messed up. Is this a easy way for the DEV to make the game harder just by not allowing us the guns we capture on the field to make it to our armory? My point on the guns is I captured a ton of them and I have none as a reward within the whole current campaign.
  19. OK this is weird. I was trouble shooting it just now. I deleted all the logs and rebooted my computer. This time around I loaded the launcher and the game came on. This time I didn't have to double click it again like I had to these past few days which would have loaded the game again so I could play it but I would have to close the little windows warning about another instance of the game trying to run so I just click to close it and continue on playing the game. What I am saying is when I am in the game it will not crash so I don't know if this is what was creating an issue with the game in Valcour battle that wouldn't give me a victory even though I sailed all ships to the red zone. The end result is, tonight I played that battle and once all ships go into that red zone and the game gave me a victory so I am happy although cosmetically the battle report goals still shows the red X in the objectives but again at this point at least it gave me a win. Sorry if you feel I was a little over the top but when I played that battle several times over the past few days with this issue that is the reason I went off. Thanks for your effort!

I will calm down but the game never ever crashed when I played Valcour every time I lose it I f11 and report it and when I click ok to end the battle report of the defeat even though all my ships are in that zone I get a defeat and lose the whole war I get that screen which puts me to the main menu for I lost the war so that is not a CRASH! By the way even if I lost that battle and had 40 rep in my harbor before starting that battle why would I lose the war due to that one battle? In UGCW we only lost the war if our REP went to 0. Now if you want me to delete all those stupid wrong crash reports I will but that won't prevent your logging an event of the game pushing me to the main menu because it gave me a defeat in that battle so I lose the war and get that screen to push me to the main menu. From the time I bought this backer build game it might have crashed for real once or twice ever but I will tell you it never crashed on me in the battle of Valcour because if it did crash in the battle I would have never seen the end battle report so something is not right. You need to define what a crash is? A crash to me means if I had to ctl alt del to desktop or the game itself CTD so if the game crashed either way and is no longer running on the computer that is what it means to me. I will say some times when I launch the game it may start to load but not show up on the screen so I will launch it again and then it comes up logs in and it may then show another instance from windows that I just cancel for you can't run the same app twice and then I can play the game so maybe if that creates a crash log then that may be the cause of why I may have some crash reports as you mentioned however that has nothing to do with the actual battle defeat in the red zone which is what I am complaining about. Why can't you see that in other battles where a red zone is that when we need to sail a transport ship and the moment it gets there on the upper right of the screen a green check mark shows up in the objective for you to see and know that you did it. So what I am saying is what is happening to me is I can't eliminate all those British ships so in phase two at that moment I send a ship to that safe zone the upper right objective on the screen should show a green mark in the objective of fleet retreat and in my game it's still red or shows I have not done it yet even though I did so in the end it gives me a defeat every freaking time. Do you want me to put the defeat on you tube so you can see it for you only allow 9,77mb here which is too small for the video? Also you say defeat is not related to a broken objective my video shows I captured 7 ships and with my 3 ships plus a few ally ships I in phase two sail them all into the safe red zone and once the last ship gets there I get a defeat and a lost of the war with no crash what so ever so how can you say otherwise?
  21. I would like to know if the DEV made a change to cannon units. I am at near the end of the American Campaign although I can't get past Valcour red zone defeat crap bug which a DEV said he fixed it on 25th update so I played it and same bug defeat. But my question is at this point in American Campaign I don't have the canon tech unit yet so I am wondering what change did the DEV do to the game when it comes to cannons? Prior this last months update when I captured cannon units with my marines that unit became a cannon unit whether I had the tech or not. But now in my new campaign I capture a ton of cannons in all the land battles and none of my marines turn into cannon units now and not only that like in the RAID battle just now I captured all 18 of the enemy cannons and no cannon made it to my armory as a reward or even a percentage of it and I would like to know why? I know for a fact when I played British I had a tone of cannons and cannon units by capturing units I am 19 battles into the campaign and I don't have the tech nor have any cannons that I captured and I would like to know why?

Another example in the battle Stay Hungry I captured the transport Kestrel and sent her and my ships into the red zone and got a victory which makes me happy but when I look at the battle report it shows all 4 objectives with red X so I did the two objectives of Kestrel and save fleet yet all 4 red x objectives but I won unlike in Valcour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. As for FURS with the recent update I was able to win it with no problems this time around but it is not the case with Valcour and that is why I am angry about this.
  24. Good for you but I tried a couple of times and it gives me a defeat which pisses me off. I will give you an example. In the Battle (Pain in the Neck) has a red zone and I put both transport ships into the safe red zone along with my ships and the game gave me a victory which makes me happy although the battle report shows those two objectives have red X instead of green x but I win so that is cosmetic and I am happy. My point is in Valcour most recently I placed every freaking ship I have into that red zone and the game gives me a defeat and I have video proof if you want to see it. Now why can't the DEV insure that when 1 ship gets into that zone in phase two, meaning I fought a lot a ships but now I want to retreat as the game wanted me to do. Let god bless you for not having this problem but for me it is stopping me from enjoying this game. Because it gives me a defeat it makes me lose the war and I am bumped to main menu and what I am saying I started a new campaign and this Valcour is pissing me off. Now I do F11 and the DEV said he fixed it so I played it and same thing happens so how many times am I suppose to try and win it by putting all ships into that zone and find out I get a defeat when I am doing the only real objective and completed it. This is why I am saying the moment 1 ship gets into that zone in phase two then the game should auto ensure a get a green check mark which will ensure I get a victory when the last ship on the sea gets to the zone. Each time I played it I captured 6 to 7 of their ships and I don't think I could sink any of them either. But don't ask me to fight the 7 large ships that is why there is suppose to be fleet retreat into the red zone so why is my game giving me this problem? I did what the DEV recommended by start a new campaign and this happens? I place every ship I captured and my 3 ships and all the remaining ally ships into the zone and the second the last ship gets there I get a defeat now you say you won it so do you know how much time you spent playing it but if you had my problem would you be happy in the end with a defeat even though you did the objective? Specially. playing back to back and having the same issue would that make you happy? if you looked at my true example Pain in the Neck I get a victory but objectives are in red not green in Valcour red x and defeat in both cases all ships went into safe zone so tell me why this is so?
