  1. I believe in Omens if afterwards they come true with no exceptions, when one doesn't then it's obviously BS.
  2. Req is just as it should be. Buy one and raid enemy green zones, then you will see it's brilliance. The AI can't compete with 6th rate and if to much you can run away. I would love to see all capital zones with hordes of req's outside so all you can see is a sea of red sails. :) Buy It!!!!!
  3. Req is best thing to happen to RA, leave it as it is (until have killied enough to get my targets). Req is most balanced ship in game, it's great. Buy it and go out in teams of 4 to capital area's it really is a religious moment.
  4. Withh all due respect sir, I think you will find the good pvp-er post captains are mostly (if not all) alts.
  5. To be honest i don't sail around KPR much, had a battle with you near Navasse and got hammered was 2 of us and 5 of you guys i think. Fight was good fun though :). As for KPR i often play really late so there isn't a huge response from KPR, and when fought with you guys there you again won most of them but again good fun and no grumbles. We also tagged you though so were no rienforcements... which is fairer. My issue with Req is that rienforcements atm are not even a consideration to hunters as they are useless (mercury, brig etc), before at least a new guy had some hope summoning rienforcements and maybe sticking close to them and when engaged try to dash for it. Most fights in zone were either jumping people fighting AI fleets which is acceptable (risk vs reward), or home nation chasing/fighting it out with raiders..... not wildy tagging everything in sight with the super ship not having any worry about rienforcement as they can rage board that to with ease. In short we may as well not have green zones at moment, in fact we may as well not have capitals as against this particular ship is useless as indicated in your post earlier (which you must have changed) where you said basically req is cool because safe zones don't matter with them and also..... " NO SIR ……………. this is the only way you can play with safe zones in game. gg" Concerns were not with me but about pop growth, but quite frankly i no longer care and will do same with zero consideration/tolerance for new players. I have realised nobody gives a rats ass about server pop and new players so when i play i will sink them also, basic cutters and all. If you can't beat em buy a req team up and do the same in other waters after all is fun right, carry on no more objections here? Just to sum up: I no longer care about issue few of us have bought req's and decided we will do same, I would also suggest many others buy req's and team up in 4-5 and hammer all capital area's. It is a total hoot, lots of fun and well worth the money to see the chaos that ensues along with piss easy PvP marks by the score.
  6. Ah so is now Req Action. Now i understand, we all need to buy the Hobbit ship and stop new players liking the game. I always let new players go on their way, last one i did fight north of great corn tagged me and i gave him his ship back. I have built ships for new guys in GB about to quit game, and taken them to places outside Jamaica to help them. As result one's i helped are still here.... just. But now you know what fook it, I no longer give a rats ass about game growing. Why should i when older experienced players and dev decisions act to destroy it. I always liked it when you guys came to kpr, was a fight and now you use req's so no point... rage board over... is bullshit sir Good luck in dying game o7
  7. Good points for sure, req should be a 5th as all reasons for herc to have rating moved apply to req also. Before Licinio says.... yes herc is OP to.
  8. Or perhaps allow side with lowest BR to join and close when is equal or above to the other? To do this though ships would have to join individually and not be able to join as groups in patrol group battles.
  9. Yep agree totally, not sure how they can they influence who choose to fight who and groups sailing together though.
  10. At time though people were complaining about kiting also which i guess is why they had the circle of death. Not sure what they can do about the gankfights, very rare to see solo hunters these days so not much better outside patrol either. As for "knowing so much", are just observations from what i seen over last 16 months or so. No idea what answer is all i do is F11 a bug when i see it while playing. Isn't my job to balance game thats devs issue, am tester/player not game designer.
  11. * Well there was a thing introduced called patrol zones, which did (to be fair to devs) address all the whinging on forums about not enough PvP and people running from battle. This was main excuse for green zone hunting that no targets could be found yadyadayada. * So few weeks later patrol zones mostly empty except nassau that was good fun, and players saying how rienforcements to strong in zone, zone should be smaller, no more revenge fleets. That patrol zones that would give PvP are empty and is again reason for spawn area hunting... * Overpowered DLC introduced that make mockery of newly "balanced" rienforcement zones, and hunters happy that they can hunt green zone area's again with little chance for newer players that get brig or merc to combat the DLC. Herc made 5th trate in response and yet another 6th rate super ship appears. By now All patrol zones are mostly empty and even nasau with dlc frenzy clams down as players once again move to green zones..... "We have to hunt here because we can't find enough PvP". * Server pop drops (again) * New thread on forum about we need more players..... * Meanwhile on discord can see groups of players moved to new games. Just saying things as i see them, what can you do when the same hunters wanting "meaningful" PvP won't go patrol zones as they unfair, can't run, might get ganked etc... But overall the truth is they just want to "spawn camp", kill new players, get easy PvP marks and don't care about lack of playerbase until they see less people even in green zones. Funny shizzle lol. 😂🤣😂😅 Anyway back to EU4 have fun
  12. Naval Intelligence retrain new captains to counter Hercules and Requiem incursions.
  13. Having to set sail each time i think may be to much hassle, can i suggest that we are just awarded them for logging in?
  14. * I think removing safe zones completely would be a better move, after all they are useless in current form. * Spawn new players at a random national port so there is no concentration of new players. * Make trade routes viable to none capital ports, diversify trade selling/buying points so not all head for nation capitals and selling ports are around map. Meaning nations would ned to hold both a buy port and sell port for a good or they "smuggle". * Make possible to capture ALL ports on map, except last one a nation has so possible for a nation to be reduced to one port. * With added risk again, make loot drops as they were pre safe zone. * Perhaps make below flag captain rank not able to be tagged instead and unable to fleet ships at that rank and below to stop Alt abuse trading etc. Sure will mean clans can move goods with low rank players, but would at least make them feel useful in some way at low rank. Would also allow them "breathing space" to trade up some gold and get a buffer before the wolves descend. Basically Capital "rienforced zones" are as useless as a chocolate teapot as they stand, do away with them and spread playerbase. What we have here in NA happens in many games spawn camping, and as with other games it becomes kinda toxic.
  15. Just sail fast downwind ships and run with wind. Deny them the content, problem solved.
  16. One thing that would be kind of nice and easy to impliment would be a ships log. So basically you capture a player vessel in PvP and is basic history of vessel. in the ships log. So say you capture a victory: Built in New providence by Rear Admiral Tinky Winkyon Great Britain Put into service under Commodore Martin Meat Great Britain (bought/first sailed) Fought in battle for Cartagena Captured and requisitioned by Devil Slinky Sid Pirate Nation etc Just would be nice to see how a ship got to be where it is, maybe is just me though :).
  17. Group of non dlc owners find unguarded requiem in port.
  18. Been thinking about this while off watching a movie. How would you stop people just farming rewards by meeting up and just fighting over and over with no ship loss? Guess you could make it so you can't retag after a battle, but is that a good thing for example a poor tag and you want to tag again to get better position? In principle is a good idea, but players always find a way to maximise a hole within a system.
  19. They still won't get anything, current meta is rage board with hammocks, crew space, light ship hammocks req. So boarding fitted req with 300+ crew will nail anything from less experienced guys while taking minimal damage. Bigger ship has more crew but gets stern raked and boarded, mid ship will just get boarded, small ship well... older players know how to stop boarding but new guys will still get next to nothing. Maybe i'm wrong and hope i am, but things at moment are silly.
  20. Like i said it won't make any difference whatever you do with rewards. I mention green zones because they are totally useless.... because the same guys hunting there complain they can't find targets outside capital zones. I felt sorry for the US over last few months it has been brutal up there, KPR has always been bad but man the DLC ships are there 24/7 lol is a joke. Now i can cope, i have fast ships know how to escape and how to fight. I have book of five rings, slots opened on ships etc and mods coming out my ass and ability to make any ship i want. Truth is green zones need to be stronger to protect newer guys, maybe make it so can't be attacked below a certain rank. When i last logged in spent 3 hours running after req's hitting new guys, and quite frankly i can't be arsed to do it anymore. I have other games to play and if devs want population to shrink then let it.
  21. To be honest i don't think it will make a difference, most of the green zone hunters don't give a rats ass about the game overall. All they want to do is club noobs in their OP bullshit DLC ships and pretend to be great PVPers. Isn't just Naval action though seen it time and again in other games that died a death, and things are kinda bad at moment here. New players getting hammered all the time means bad reviews, people not staying and a stagnating population. When global server was merged with the EU server i saw highest amounts online in ages, and slowly but surely has declined to joke levels of under 500 peaktime. Sure (yet another) sale will lift in game activity for a short time but as we have seen of late it just falls back to pitifully low activity. I just hope the devs address current game issues, because there is no point getting new players in current meta. It isn't just about the DLC either it's about in game attitude to new guys from playerbase which kinda sucks donkey's balls.
  22. I let players go if they are low rank, it's sustainable hunting, also it's very very rare to see me hunt in a rienforcement zone. Farming noobs just means less targets in future as guys grow and spread their wings, I find capital hunting distasteful tbh. Last one was a polish guy in a renomee south of La Mona area, had decimated his crew and sails and guy starts raging about only played a couple of weeks etc. When i said he could go he was surprised lol, but for the sake of a few pvp marks isn't it better to let these guys grow?
