  2. I knew this discussion would come after "Club Penguin Island" close down last year. Seriously though i think i was clubbed in my basic cutter first day, and i found it kinda funny tbh. After i was killed i was left alone as had recently killed and saw it as just a part of being on the pvp server. Just to clarify i didn't find any penguins to club on penguin island, no wonder it shut down.
  3. I guess depends on the context, situation and how well the guys know each other. The stream of lol by him after Raxius carried on telling everyone where they were kinda implies a joke. However Hemp's choice of words is quite dark humour, I guess Raxius the one being spoken about is best one to say how he felt about it. Ignore in chat is a wonderful thing, it's an instant way to filter stuff coming from a person who doth offend.

  5. Whatever happens will be same for all, so whatever am ok with it. Players should just enjoy what they have for now and have fun.
  6. Oh my, so much drama. Final wipe on release is most probably months away, and whatever it finally is will be the same for all. Personally i'm happy books will be kept, the other stuff doesn't take so long really. Rank/craft xp are quite quick to skill through and ship slots although will take time everybody will be in the same situation. It does make me chuckle a bit when i read "i bought the game so...." , we all bought the game and knew it was Early access so would be wipes along the way. Yes ofc last year i started a thread about what would remain on final wipe, and things have changed some from that answer but isn't the end of life as we know it as some say. People need to step back from rant mode i think, but probably won't happen. All this from a game community that is on average i expect older than your usual game crowd is kinda hillarious really.
  7. Crew size rank and crafting rank xp though are quite easy to reskill, keeping skill books is nice as they take the longest i think. Re-skilling ship knowledge is a bind sure but will be same for all. I opened that thread over 6 months ago, and yes i understand why some people feel kinda pissed, but things change i guess. No point everyone getting hyper about it yet we still a while off the big wipe from what i gathered.
  8. Personally i'm happy that skill books have remained, they are the pain in the ass to get again. Xp doesn't take so long, although opening slots on ships again takes time but is same for all.

  12. Hello there I've tried the last 3 days to change ingame name with forged papers dlc and name not changed after maintainance. Not sure what issue is but has always worked in past. Have reported via F11, will try again today.
  13. If it is changed, will it be changed back to how it is now in a few months time? Groundhog day. Sorry to be flippant but this happens over and over and over again with different things lol.
  14. Reading this thread i guess everything is the same then. Kinda funny really , and not sure what answer is tbh. Meanwhile i'll carry on playing other games until game balance is better. Hope all had a good xmas and have a great new year.
  15. I've been thinking about this and perhaps "navigation officer" skillbooks would work, or perhaps ship navigation upgrades (sextant, etc) that create a circle on map that you are within. Make it so you have to be stationary at sea with a timer countdown while position is calculated.
  16. Just a thought, how is trading "improved" by decreasing knowledge of prices and having less tools for navigation? Sounds to me that all it will do is create more time sailing with little success, like being low on repairs for instance after a battle and losing bearing as a result of instanced battle. Even if you know roughly where you are when leaving battle it will be a crap shoot to finding a port with supplies. See how turns out i guess, but doesn't sound like it will improve gameplay at all and more cause frustration.

I think the step are ok in general, however one stands out to me that could be perhaps changed. * Attack an enemy player in enemy capital waters and inflict 2000 damage in one battle Perhaps a better way would be to replace "Capital waters" with "Patrol zone". This way would introduce new guys to patrol zona with a chance they can hit the 5k damage level if made to take patrol mission before setting out. The reason i would change capital waters to patrol zone is they will most probably be facing many ships within a capital area with no chance of help, in patrol zone would be a chance that people join to aid on their side. Or Just make it attack an enemy player and cause 2000 damage.
  18. I think this is the main point of change, to get people around the map more.
