  1. This graphic covers april 6th and april 7th. It doesn't mean anything about US prime time PBs since the server population has complety collapsed after the incoming wipe was announced.
  2. These changes will certainly be refreshing and I look forward to test them. I understand 1rst and 2nd rate being rare, but 3rd rate were the backbone of the navies by then, so please don't make them that hard to get. Don't forget that sailing lineship is a key selling point of the game for many new players. Having an easier chance to sail at least a 3rd rate might keep them in the game longer. Beside, seeing many 3rd rates around is not as immersion breaking as seeing plenty of 1rst rates.
  3. Read carefully. You need two full week to change an alliance. Even if that was only one week, it would leave the nation in a very vulnerable situation.
  4. Intesresting. If I got it right, you now need to wait 7 more days before allying with France, for exemple. That's a long time to go with one ally less... Edit, or more (2 weeks) since the war with France ends in 7 days, and the voting cycle ends in 6 days, So that would be two full voting cycle to fight with one ally short...

  6. Could the HMS Victory sail on it's own in it's current state? Given the riggins and sails were rebuilt?
  7. I did create a character on PVE just in case and I was already Rear admiral with all the redeemable ships available, but with no money. This is just a safety measure. Everything should be fine.
  8. I'm more worried about the ability to trade PVE marks for PVP marks as it is currently possible on the testbed server. If this is not well balanced, we might see everyone just grinding PVE like mad again to get the best stuff, before they try any pvp.

  11. Nope. Consensus in the Eastern Alliance's european players maybe, but not among all europeans players, and certainly not on the whole server.
  12. New ships models are definately a strength for this game, as they look really good and even better after each new one. The more the better and I really hope you still have plenty still waiting to be included in the game It would be even better if early models would be updated to later standards, expecially for the rigging and cordage details. The asset wipe is needed for proper testing and will actually help players to switch nation without losing much, but I'm still deeply worried by the proposed "server reorganisation". I still can't see how replacing the large EU player base with the tiny PVP 2 player base will do any good to the so called "global server".
  13. I personnaly advocate for the removal of PB'S and to maximise the hostility system.   14. All this shows how the incoming server split is an incorrect solution to a real problem: a faulty mechanic for conquest. One time PB's and 1 or 2 hours long PVE grind to 100% hostility are the problems here, not the player, nor time zones. Trash this faulty concept ASAP.
  15. As I understand it, there won't be any US server anymore. PVP 2 will merge with PVP 1 and become the global server. Then, a new EU server will be created with the locked PB period to fit EU's time zone.
  16. I find it ironic that people actually living on the former territory of the real ''New France'' will be locked out of any meaningufll RvR on the EU server and are thus left in the dust...
  17. What will happen when the server will host 1k players? 800 of em won't be allowed ot craft anything? How awesome is it that I've just created a new character on PVP 2 France? We are barely 12 players in there and should not be affected by this. Granted, we can't even dream of taking a port anyway so it is a non-issue for us.
  18. This is going nowhere. A temporary mesure could be a severe reduction of hostility generation rate to make sure reaching 100% can't be done in less than a 24 hour period. Flipping a region should be a global effort, not a matter of a few PVE missions.
  19. I understand your point. You could always generate hostility by attacking the AI fleets in the area, but hopefully at a very low pace in order not to replace PVP, as is happening now, and to prevent flipping a region in a few hours. Defender would then be forced to lower hostility, but mostly with PVP since there are close to no enemy AI fleets in home waters. This is also why I would remove PB's completely (yes, that surely mean the desmise of the poor mortar brig, but frigates and 3rd and 2bd rate could find more use). Defender is then forced to show up, or else he loses the region once hostility reach 100%, instead of betting on a single battle and a solid screen. Here's a small summary I've posted a few days ago, using already available mechanics instead of reinventing the game. Feel free to comment. It is a bit similar to what Wraith suggested in one of his post. P.S. If we really want to keep PVE hostility mission, the rate must be considerably lowered to make it a few days affair instead of a few hours. All time zones could be involved this way.
  20. This, all this drama for some PB's that aren't that great compared to regular OW battle, except they magically force a region to change hands depending on the result. We should clearly find out why players are so involved in the PB's. Is it because of the RVR impact? The 25 vs 25 first rate brawl they provide? If it is the RVR effect, we can easily solve this by changing the RVR focus from PB's to something else. I had expected the hostility generation to be the real driving force for PVP, not just a mandatory PVE grinding operation to unlock the revered PB, that stir so much shit lately. Plenty of player made solution to solve the night flips where made, but the devs already have all the tools and mechanic needed to develop a nice RVR system ( flags, PVP zones, hostility, AI fleets, delimited region.) IMO, they should keep the hostility system, remove the PVE hostility mission completely and use those existing mechanics to good effect and promote OW PVP and RVR.
  21. Some nitpicking here, but allowing the apostrophe in name creation would make me very happy. Also, don't forget the idea of flying your own national flag, when supporting allies in battle!

  23. Hello all, Just a small question here. If i delete my old character on pvp2, will I also lose my unused redeemables on that server? What else will I lose? Assets, Blueprints, labor hours and that's it? Cheers,
