  1. Hope not. Uneven population makes diplomacy more interesting.
  2. The range on that "shit" is already greatly reduced. It used to have a much better range and much better accuracy.
  3. Sell 1 unit of whatever good you want to check directly to the port (should be possible if I remember correctly), and then check the selling price of this one unit.
  4. Another point I would think of is... sooner or later everyone will know about this European trader mechanic. That means, that if the prices reach a level above the ET-price, noone will buy anywhere else. That means that people who buy goods from ETs will most likely not be able to sell them for a profit. I am actually not sure if this is a problem though
  5. Hm. Makes sense, but I am not exactly sure if this would not make other problems appear... As long as money is valuable, no problem. But as soon as people start to get too much money it could lead to resources being too easy to get. Maybe the system should not only consider the price, but also the total amount of this good available in a region, or maybe put a limit on it. Like a trader will sell up to a certain amount to one player, and then nothing anymore for some time. This can however be avoided by players with multiple accounts... In any case, I hope that money will stay valuable, because then my concerns would be unjustified, but this is relatively rare in games in general.
  6. How "immediate" is this? I mean, is there still some kind of progression, or do you put a contract over 1000 Hemp and 1h later it is fulfilled?
  7. Problem is that this is a defending battle... Means, if the defending nation brings a heavy setup, no other setup will defeat them than another heavy one, because they can then just camp their towers. So yeah, there are flaws in the mechanic. But I am sure it will change a lot when PBs get reworked.
  8. I suggest to wait until devs start working on the UI. Right now everything that has to do with UI is placeholder.
  9. Would be abused to teleport cargo over the whole map without Cooldown, and to any outpost you wish. What you do is to take command of the captured Trader and sail it to your next Outpost yourself.
  10. Game Labs said that MAYBE, if they don't get enough money through sales (anymore), they will add the opportunity to buy Premium vessels. However they also said that the only advantage of these Premium vessels will be their beauty, and that none of them will be better than their player crafted counter parts. So there you go... Throw your money at them this way, if they decide that they need it. That being said, I agree that a monthly subscription would be very sad for many players. I for one would have to leave the game then, no matter how low this subscription would be
  11. It's not about you, you know. It's about the game. And yes, I am thinking negative on many things. However, again, this is nothing against you. But I think it IS important to think of how certain game mechanics COULD be abused or exploited, so that we can prevent exactly this. Maybe I am sometimes a bit over the top, but in the end I am not the one who decides
  12. Yes, I did read your post. And no, I don't see much sense in it... Being Rear Admiral doesn't force you to sail bigger ships, but it does show that you are more experienced. Another thing that comes to my mind is... Well, with the option to hide your real experience, I think it's possible to make seal clubbing easier, since a rookie would run from a fight against a rear admiral Lynx, preventing him from getting destroyed with ease. That might not be a major concern, but well... The possibility is there.
  13. Well, you can still sail a Lynx when you are Post Captain, if you want. The only reason why I think people would want this button is to not lose the option to hire AI... and there is a reason why they took out the option to do that once you leveled up enough.
  14. Then I see no reason why it should be banned... However devs might see that differently, no idea.
  15. Not sure if there is a traditional "end game content". All classes of ships have their place in the game, and even though SOLs are the most powerful ships in the game you will probably see more Frigates than SOLs. Even the small ships that you will sail in the first few ranks won't lose their value, since you have to sail small ships to capture a shallow water port. Trading gets you no xp atm though, "just" money. So to be able to man bigger ships you have to fight.
  16. Can it remove fog in the Open World or smoke in battles?
  17. SOLs are already limited by the immense costs and the fact that they have only 1 durability. On top of that they are very vulnerable if left alone. I can imagine that this will work just fine.
  18. http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/8836-server-names-proposals-your-feedback-needed/
  19. I actually like this review.
  20. This would cause other problems that we already discussed in other threads.
  21. Does that mean that then you can get 1 Iron Ingot from 1 Iron Ore? Because if yes I would suggest to increase the weight of Iron Ingots.
  22. More money for the devs. Good. But regardless, teleporting goods through the whole map on a regular basis takes away a bunch of tactical decisions.
  23. Not if pirates do get a rework like so many people are hoping.
  24. You should be able to get them if you did NOT redeem them on the EU server. If you however redeemed them already you don't get them for any other character you create (that's what was written about this topic in an info thread at least).
