  1. Would also be insane because people could flee when they are shot up, repair and join the battle again. You'd have everlasting battles with unlimited respawns of the same players.
  2. We'll get a whole zone of the map dedicated for newbies, and big ships won't be able to go there. So, just a bit of patience, and the problem will be solved soon.
  3. We had storms once... I thought they are awesome, but many people don't like them. But then again, now the weather can be made to match the OW, and whoever starts a storm battle... Well, it's his own fault.

  5. So you tweaked some stats of ships and mods... Does this only apply to newly crafted ships, or will ships that are already crafted also be changed? Also, regarding the delivery quests... I would personally like to see delivery quests on player eco have a much higher reward than the ones for NPC eco. But We'll see how it works out
  6. Man sollte dazusagen dass alle Aussagen über RvR gerade ziemlich nichtssagend sind, da demnächst das gesamte System überholt wird. Der Plan sieht vor, es so zu gestalten dass auch solo-Spieler einen sinnvollen Einfluss auf die Kriege und RvR im Allgemeinen haben sollen... Bleibt nur zu schauen wie es umgesetzt wird. Allerdings mach ich mir persönlich keine Sorgen, da die Entwickler auf die Community hören und auch normalerweise kein Problem haben, bestehende Systeme noch einmal komplett generalzuüberholen wenn es nötig ist.
  7. Maybe it would be possible to have a client-only log. Means, the log gets saved on your PC rather than on the server. It's a bit wacky since you couldn't access it when you log in from other PCs, but since you don't really need the logs from previous game sessions this shouldn't be too much of a problem.

  10. The flaw in this suggestion is that currently diplomats do work mostly on TeamSpeak, as far as I know. So they don't use the ingame comm mostly anyway, rendering the feature just a nuisance, unfortunately. (Although it does look like an interesting suggestion)
  11. Will crew cost be just paid once when hiring them, or do you plan to have an upkeep cost? In my opinion the "pay once"-option makes more sense gameplay-wise, but I could definitely imagine having to pay some sort of upkeep on Marines (but this upkeep would have to be tied to the online activity).

  13. As said in previous threads to this topic, I think an even spread of capitals is a bad idea. Right now each nation has different struggles and a different flair due to their very different position on the map. So for example, no matter how many players Sweden actually has, it will always struggle because it is so close to 2 other capitals. And I think I speak on the behalf of many Sweden players (at least the ones who are here for longer already) when I say that we chose this struggle and that we want to keep this struggle. Thinning out ports might be an idea, however it would make sailing even more... uninteresting. Let's first see how devs address war mechanics and diplomacy I have big hopes for a complete war mechanics and Port Battle overhaul (with war score like in Europa Universalis 4 for example).
  14. There was once talk about ship costumization, so it could actually come sooner or later. However it was talked about in the context of "Premium"-content, so as far as I know devs consider this to be paid with RL money IF they cannot sustain the game with the normal sales. EDIT: There was btw also talk about if Exceptional ships will maybe look more beautiful than lower quality ships one day
  15. I like the floating cargo idea. However it would have to be tuned carefully... For example, you shouldn't be able to throw tons of logs over board. And it should also not be immediately, it needs time to unload a ship.
  16. This is not poor game design, since it was not the devs intention for you to lose it. It's simply what it is. A bug that will be fixed. Thanks for your feedback, but no reason to get angry about it.
  17. Maybe a solution is to drop BPs as Redeemables instead of items. That would also make it completely impossible to sell BPs to others (which seems to be a goal of the devs). However if this is an easy to implement thing, I don't know. If not it should definitely have a very low priority.
  18. One idea to stop boarding ramming... You said that the ram would affect anything on the boat that is not nailed on. People, equipment, weapons and so on. So my suggestion... - No leaks, or moderate leaks - Bow damage for the rammer - rammer loses bow spriet - rammed ship takes damage and small crew losses - rammer loses all boarding preparation, 5% of the remaining crew and a moderate number of cannons due to the heavy impact. Depends on the speed of course.
  19. But... If we add minigames your house would not be cleaned You sure you want that? (On a more serious note, I think devs said once something about minigames, like card games with other captains and fishing.)
  20. We had a discussion about deliveries once, that deliveries could be made by AI ships transporting the cargo. The problem is that these deliveries would almost never reach their destination. Because it's easy to spot such an AI controlled player ship, and the AI is easy to beat. Even if your ship is too small, it's easy to call in friend who then feast on your AI controlled ship. That means, it will probably never be implemented, or it will be implemented and noone will use it anymore after 1 or 2 weeks.
  21. Eh... I think this feature would be interesting, but not good for the game itself. It is PVP after all, and I doubt that people would be happy if their secret operation preparations would be made public by a feature like this.
  22. Just implement these war effort point mechanic like in Europa Universalis IV, like already suggested. I think this would be a great solution... However we would have to have complex voting mechanics.
