  1. That is what spotting circle for. Preset distance that triggers this or that sound. Make it smaller to see clearer. No rocket science. P.S. read O'brian books and see how efficient spotters were.
  2. Imho world should be divided into sections. What you shown will not work with rvr. Regions/sections would bring more pvp to designated areas. Thing is it's too much work and I do not think we have time a resources.
  3. That is reality, there was always a spotter up in the masts. 24/7. NA is realistic, so.
  4. It must be as simple as possible, too many bells would be annoying. Variety of sounds is a must.
  5. @adminSimple sound signals is all we need. Realistic way to notify Captains of their surroundings. New Day - 2 Bell rings Enemy player is attacking - Drums (Call to Arms) You are attacking - Men shouting and whistling, drums and swords clanking. Port Spotted - Long bosun's whistle Land Spotted - Land Ho! with a bosun's whistle sound. (Disabled at night) Enemy Player Spotted - Sail Ho! with a bosun's whistle sound. (Disabled at Night) Leaving Safe Zone - Trumpet sound + Arms clanking and stomping sound. Entering Safe Zone - Harp instrument sound. Storm - 3 bell rings + 3 bell rings, repeated one more time after 1 minute (3+3+3) if you are entering the storm. *'Enemy spotted' does not indicate where the player is. All it does is just triggers spotting radius for the sound. Player then must be on alert and search for that player. One sound for multiple targets. *'Land Ho!' - charged only when there is no land in sight for over 1 minute in 360 radius. Once land is visible on the horizon it will get triggered. *'Port spotted' sound - only triggered when port name appears. A large invisible circle reaching out to the end of view distance on the horizon is a main sound trigger, but during storms such circle must be smaller. All spotting sounds are disabled during the night.
  6. These suggestions keep returning again and again. I would add a rapid bell sound when leaving the area.

Thanks. Ship sails need work, they are just unrealistic and imho ruin the whole video. I hope Devs improve them. They are always filled with wind, no wrinkles and no texture. Other than that video is nicely done.

Mostly camera placement when recording videos. Angles, location and movement. Not all born to have creative thinking and that is completely fine. Videos are full of details that NA could use. Quick list -Sails -Water color -Lights -Sail damage -Port structures and their possitioning -Fog, storm, lightning -Fire, explossions and so on..
  10. You will never know what is happening behind the scenes. We can only guess.
  11. NA is a Simulator now. Many wanted it that way and so we have it.

  15. Great guide for all who is making NA videos. This video has tons of details NA could use to improve. Pay close attention. Enjoy. Part 1 https://youtu.be/hkxT0VSaIzg Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 http://www.cgmeetup.net/home/turn-washingtons-spies-vfx-breakdown/
  16. That explains why ) I checked stats and it was over 60 guy difference. How is it that game so far? Is it worth it?
  17. Logged in last night to find 140 players online, is it still worth fighting for Motherland? I privateer, but only if there are prizes to take. Will try sailing after patch.
  18. Obviously. Also, answered new player's question here:
  19. @Pada needs to correct his text. Bro got confused here. >>Sail Rising Speed: 15% (I think, this option Advantage. right?) No it's a penalty, sail raising speed is increased. <<
  20. @Pada Sail Rising Speed: +20% vs Sail Rising Time +20% Speed = Bonus to speed means good. Faster raising speed. Time = Bonus to Time means bad. Longer time is take to raise sails. Am I wrong here? Speed +20% means I am raising sails +20% faster.
