  1. Everyone of my infractions have been deserved. Hell a few of them I even told the mods about it before I was hit with them LOL. So I can say they have been quite even handed in their approach, even with me and I have talked to one of them in teamspeak and played beside him in game. He still hit me with a temp ban in the past for an infraction... I wasnt even mad at him he is doing his job. Hard to believe but at one point in my long past I was a moderator for another game. And it is a VERY difficult and thankless job. You are often the first one to be vented at for in game issues that you have NO control over. And often have to take things at face value, there is no room for grey area only black and white.
  2. Easy there kid. I didnt say anything about players tagging each other to hide in battle. I said killing your own AI to deny anyone from grinding them for hostility. So calm down, stop banging on your keyboard. Oh and I do play, and login and do things. Probably more than you lately. So dont try and be Mr "Do you even lift" gino dude.
  3. Covered it below that statement The issue is compounded by the fact that pirates can tag their own AI fleets can deny people from getting to them. If pirates sink them it doesnt count as hostility. But nationals can tag in our own fleets even if we wanted to. For some reason I dont believe you. While I want to say you are right, many times I sail through regions where people are working on hostility or the planned area of attack and I see nothing, or maybe one or two fleets at most. Yet there are 5 or 6 other fleets out there from other nations or your own nation. Then there are the fact that Epic missions do nothing for you in RVR or really anything just a wasted mechanic.
  4. While Global numbers have been pretty stable at around 200-300 players it is low. The biggest issue is most players, is RVR is boring as hell. You grind against some NPC ships, for what 2 to 6 hours. You then wait 22hours for a PB which you sail to and MAYBE fight somebody who might put up a fight. For what? You get nothing out of a win, you get less from a loss. No conquest marks, victory marks are for everyone and are pointless because you can grind boring NPC ships to get those or just PVP and get them. Then there is the broken mechanics on top of that. Pirates have the smallest NPC fleets in the game, I dont mean BR wise, I mean in numbers. They have no trade ships and even less smaller rating ships on the open sea as NPCs. So grinding hostility up in those regions is a joke at best. While most nations have some of the largest NPC fleets to have ever sailed the Spanish Main. I gave up on RVR, because of those reasons. I knew it after the wipe, and I had hoped things would change with the conquest marks. But ultimately nothing happened and in typical ADMIN fashion he flopped on the idea like a girl picking out a dress on prom night.
  5. Two questions... Why hate on people with over 1600 posts? and.... Where did your avatar picture come from?
  6. It is pretty sad that I do have to agree with King of Crowns on this one. While I am not a port battle fan, I find this new direction pretty "out of the blue". And typical of the development of this game. It has been a very shotgun approach to development like a kid with ADHD telling a story. Oh Crowns... PVP Events were in the game for 2 months, and you forgot treasure fleet wreck events with the hints getting dropped randomly at sea.
  7. Pirates didnt use bigger cannons, if anything they had smaller cannons. As cannons are often a military procurement item. Cannons over a set class was often VERY expensive and reserved for military ships. Most civilian ships didnt even have 6lb guns, those would be the largest most expensive guns any civilian would often run. Most had 4lb or 2lb swivel guns. While true, France had also just gone through their revolution and many of their naval assets had been pulled back to France.
  8. The US was a power during this time. The War of 1812, proves that. Pirates should be removed as a nation and that topic has been broached several times already. Seeing as this games time frame is roughly from 1750-1825. So with that stated, Pirates, Sweden and Denmark should not be nations, or even powers in this region. It should come down to 3 MAJOR factions with 2 minor factions. Great Briton, Spain, and France as major players in the region. United States and the VP should be minor powers in the region. ALL new characters should start in one of the three major nations. Vets can choose to leave the 3 major powers and move out to the minor factions or go pirate which will be factionless.
  9. I saw it once on the test server, but never on the live servers.
  10. The word is "winner". They must be getting under your skin, I haven't seen you misspell so much in so little of a time. Again the word is "lure", not lore....
  11. This right here. We dont need Sweden or the Danes in this game. They had literally zero impact on the Caribbean in the 18th and 19th century.
  12. First tell me one pirate who actually used a ship bigger than the Queen Ann's Revenge, which was a corvette 5th rate, or about the size of the Cerberus/Renomee. And I am not talking a one off use, I am talking as their ACTUAL flag ship. Most pirates sailed around in armed merchant vessels of 6th rate and 7th rate classes. Brigs, and Schooners. Why? Because they were cheap, easily available, and the MOST common vessel on the sea. And no one looked twice at a brig sailing through an area. People tend to get a little worried when a armed military frigate comes sailing on their aft quarter. I think the pirate frigate should go away personally and bring back the rattlesnake for pirates.
  13. This is the realm of realism and game play improvement. So it is a win-win to work on.
  14. Actually not correct. National naval captains could take other ships as prizes. But would have to turn them over to the admiralty for the prize court to access the value. And several admirals had several ships under their "command". Nelson had the HMS Victory, and the HMS Pickle, but the Pickle was his personally owned ship but under Royal Navy charge. But there was also other advantages to being a naval officer. If you were a fleet commander, or squadron commander, like Pellew, you would get paid on your standard pay and get prize pay based on your captures AND the captures of your squadron.
  15. Good the problem is every fight now is at full sails and no point in having any other sail settings.
  16. Here is a suggestion that has been suggested before and is being suggested again. BATTLE SAILS In battle it was VERY rare a ship would have full sails in battle, it would require to much crew to man all the sails AND keep control the ship AND have gun crews on all guns. Many ships would go to battle sails because it required less sailors to man the sails, and freed up more men for the guns and emergency repairs. Also it reduced the chance of masts coming down due to damage to rigging. So I suggest a simple solution. Sailing crew requirement increased across the board. But reduced as the sail power is reduced. So it would look like this. Snow sailing crew -60 FULL(100%) -60 Half(80%)-48 Slow(60%)-36 Battle(40%)-24 Dead Slow(20%)- 12 This would give more realistic look to sailing ships in battle, and give some options to captains who sail MASSIVE ships to man more guns or reduce the reload in favor of trying to run.
  17. I dont know how many rank 8+ players I run into that I have seen get stuck in the wind, dont know how to manual sail and think the carronade is the end all be all of guns. When I was hunting on the US coast a month ago I had one guy actually think that his trader brigs masts couldnt be taken down by a Lynx. 20min later he was a canoe. People wont put in the effort to learn their ships or learn how to sail them, how can I expect them to be good. Hell I can remember when so many thought Black was hacking when they were just angling their hulls to deflect shots. (Yes I was one of them till I tried it myself)
  18. So you mean actually sail in lines and do line fighting formations in line ships? Sail around in frigates/5th rates. How should a national act?
  19. No but a reputation system will help this. Someone who has a poor national reputation can be removed from that nation and cast out as a pirate.
  20. This would be perfect.. no need for the rest of this concept. Move the capitals to where suggested, drop the rest of this clan wars crap.
  21. And that decision was months ago, nearly a half a year ago. So the OP is suggesting to re-address the situation.
