You can´t be serious about calling this good work. Why the hell did you guys agree to such a treaty? Looks like it would be more fun now to play on PVE server. I really hope DRUNK clan will go back to their roots now (with help of GER?)! I will not consider playing untill diplomacy overhaul will go live, I feel ashamed to be part of sweden for now.

There is no unity at all, it is a truce according to the treaty. Danes and french will keep their friends and just don´t want to be bothered by dutch and swedes while fighting britain (their only opponent lol). PS: That means brits will have to fight danes, french, spain and pirates while swedes and dutch are not really allowed to help them by screening/intercepting flags of french/danes, or all this is gonna start all over again.

Ah well I can´t tell if this is ture or not, all I can say is that the EVE server is located in Iceland and this works for players from all over the world for 12+ years.

Did you read a different treaty? This treaty is a joke, frenchs demand a port in swedish territory and want to be allowed to pvp there but they don´t want any pvp in their territory at all, pure arrogance in my opinion, and I´m not even surprised. And where did you read that they or the danish will do anything against spain or pirates?

So french now go full carebear? No pvp allowed in all of "their" territory?

I guess the majority of players is not from America so why should this be the best server location?

Positives: -they don´t have to care about territory -they don´t have to care about shipyards -they don´t have to care about crafting -they don´t have to care about politics As far as I can tell Pirates were meant to be the hard mode gameplay and becoming one was meant to be kind of a "penalty" for not obeying the "laws". I don´t see a problem with this because you would have the choice to either join a nation and stick to their "rules", or just become an outlaw and have the freedom to do what you want (battle anyone you like without restrictions and taking care of your own). Keep in mind the new politics and diplomacy changes, which will take away a lot of freedom of national players (for example: if your nation allies two other nations you won´t be able to attack any of them without facing the consequences -> turning pirate). So all the players, who like freedom of choice rather then obeying to the politics/rules of a nation, should choose pirate at the start, or become one at a later point.

All your victory conditions do hugely favor the nation with the highest population. Having the most players is not actually an achievement of the players of the nations.

Nope, since I don´t use Windows 10.

That could be abused for avoiding/bypassing OW travel, eventhough it would take a lot more traveltime. I could undock then attack an AI trader and sail in battle instance to my destination then leave the instance and dock up.

Or you can right click the game in Library --> Properties --> Local Files --> Verify Game Files. This should automatically check your installation and download any missing files or replacing outdated files.

To be honest I did not test it recently and did not read a post from devs, saying that you can enter a contested (just captured by your nation) port in combat ship and leave it, while having smuggler flag activated. If this got fixed just disregard my argument.

I never said I want a purely even match with same basic ships. This topic is about "...to make the game more skill based", and upgrades as they exist now are not favoring skill based gameplay. And the non-craftable upgrades are a part of the game right now and you can´t exclude this from this discussion about upgrades and how they affect the gameplay. And I also didn´t start an argument about whether those upgrades should remain drop-only. I do like the idea of having upgrades but they shouldn´t have too much impact on the ships. I´d rather see more variety in actual ships instead of a game where "hidden" gear has a great effect on the "performance" of ships.

Of course a bad player won´t magically be a good player only by using upgrades, but if two players of equal quality fight eachother and one has a grey ship and the other guy an exceptional 3/5 speed with all gold mods, the guy with the gold ship will have a way higher chance to win the battle. And no, you can´t simply buy all the upgrades you want since there is not enough supply of the drop-only upgrades.

No timers with new assault fleet mechanic + 7 days cooldown = way less port battles. 7 days cooldown without any other changes = steamrolling made even easier.

That´s a really bad idea! Not thought through at all in my opinion. This cooldown means steamrolling will be even easier. After capping enemy ports on a certain front the attackers doesn´t have to defend the new ports for 7 days and can concentrate on capping the next ports. Right now players of a nation will have to decide wether they are going to attack and have no players to defend the ports or stay defensive and don´t attack.

You exit in a damaged ship that´s true but you can repair while being invulnerable. And I really dont get that bold part, why do you assume they can´t handle to get in the PB? Are you talking about a specific battle or in general?

If you don´t want to fight after PB then use the option to log out in Battle result screen... It is not up to you to decide how other players should play. I never heard of a single player, who got pissed off or said he is gonna leave the game because he got intercepted when he left the PB. Oh and there is only room for 25 player in the PB and if the rest of players sacrifice themselves as valuable screeners (no PB loot for them!!) they are more then free to get their fight afterwards. PS: I´m not a pirate and I have no idea why you come up with insults against them, when this issue has nothing to do with the "nationality".
