  1. All you got out of my post is verbal abuse report and if you can't take it report and ignore??? You missed the point. Players are tired of the abuse of game mechanics. The appearance of devs doing nothing about it. It has reached the point on many of these topics such as this one, that players are wasting their precious 2-4 hours playing or posting on forums about it and they are leaving. I am in no way trying to rage or pick on anyone or anything. But.... I hear what British players say to me " I can't take this anymore, maybe I'll come back in a couple months". Also keeping track of players online numbers at peek times and noticing it going down 100 a week. I don't want closed alpha numbers of 230 at PEAK time. Players know the games problems, we play the game. We see it daily and most feel the devs don't listen or care. If they don't agree with you, most fear the dreaded 7 days forum/chat ban. Please lock the thread. This isn't gonna help the players or devs. Let's move on to the wipe and major patches and go from there.
  2. What happens if you are the most decorated PvP player in your nation...interdicting enemy ships boarding and capping 4-8 ships a day and causing grief for your nations enemy's traders. What happens if you are your nations level 50 ship builders, spending hours making ship parts and sailing for materials and pumping out the ships needed for Port Battles. Why should they vote? A nation's influencial people are more than just a bunch of people running around doing undefended port battles. They are actually individuals or groups of individuals doing important deeds and tedious tasks rather than a couple of people going to an uncontested port battle. The fleet leaders gathering up the players and ships to do the battle? The Fleet leaders making arrangements between fleets to gather and organize port attack forces and screening fleets. It just comes down to who shows up and damages the most towers? I disagree. I think the whole system is going to go very wrong. I can also see a very large window for exploiting. Very concerned ..... I must say. Do I have a better solution no, but I would rather see it stay in the current format than go to this system.

  4. I understand your point Eishen and I agree that the pirates need to have some special needs attached to removing captured 3rd rates, we need to keep the pirates competetive in the game. With that said it will make people now craft a little more. I am level 50 and I did it all on my own. I was a member of SLRN and i did so outside the guild crafters. I grinded on my own, I saved credits on my own. I found my own resources and did all my parts for the most part on my own and I reached 50 on my own. So it can be done. I didn't want to be at the mercy of other crafters or guild crafters who would make me pay a arm & leg to have a ship crafted or wait on a crafting guild list 20 people long. People need to stop depending on others and if you want something bad enough work for it. I also do not charge people an arm and a leg to build a ship or sometimes nothing at all if they have mats. I give away free bp's and I give ships and money away to help people coming from PvP2 or PvE servers. Everyone should be helping other in nations to get ahead. I also didn't use the cheat mechanic spawning 25 3rd rates like Stars/ss/sorry did in the gulf of mexico. I simply attacked A.I fleet after A.I. fleet by myself or with 4 or 5 other random players. I also have to say that sailing a 1st rate all the time is boring. Taking that speed trinc or remi out and patrolling in teams of 3-6 players is the most fun i have in game. People that get to the 1st rates know this. Once we get more ships in game ... large number of 6th rates to 4th rates. You will see the number of 1st-3rd rates go down. The spanish and french fighting against us british spam 50 frigates infront of our 1st rates and although they may lose most of those frigates..they give those 1st rates a hell of a fight and even sink a few. So as you get high up you start to realize that 1st rates aren't the end game, its actually the BEGINNING of the game and you start to understand each ship has its place tactically and strategically.
  5. Its very obvious that the Capped 3rd Rates are a problem that needs to be eliminated or fixed in some way. I would like to see EVERY SHIP IN GAME, crafted. I don't even believe in capped 1 dura A.I. ships of any type. If you do missions and attack A.I. Fleets you make money and it makes you work towards saving for that nice crafted ship you want to advance to your next rank with. Capped ships should be broken up for parts, BP drops or money to admiralty. That simple. I am a level 50 crafter and I have almost every ship i could want, due to stock piling resources and good trade routes. Sant, Vic, Pavel, Bellona, 3rd Rate (yes its crafted, love my mods), trinc..etc. I do not drag my 1st rates into EVERY port battle. Why becuase of the tons of frigates and screening ships. I do bring my crafted 3rd rate. I don't believe in capped 3rds at all and I am tempted to leave the game for a time period in the hope that when I come back..things will be fixed. Everyone wants there everything, but unfortunatly to make the game better we need to sacrifice the 3rds and easy capping and saving our good ships..so the game can grow and become a better game. Will people be upset if it happens, yes. Will some people be happy yes. But in the end it will make it a much better game and to be honest, i don't want to sale a easy ship. I want a sense of accomplishment, I want a goal in game and a sense of danger. I really hope if everyone was to sit back...they should look not at what makes them happy, or the next guy happy. What makes this game seem in all aspects...REALISITIC? The end goal of the game should be realism and make you feel like you are back in 1785 and your fighting for your nation and trying to climb the naval ladder to glory. I think we all have said all our points on this thread, but i have not seen one Admin or Mod make a statement on this topic and it seems to being ignored or its being followed. I just hope it is being monitored and being taken into consideration. Booty

We are losing ports fighting 5 nations...big deal we know we can't win and we are gonna lose ports...>WHO CARES....we will fall back to 10 ports and fight and we are fine with that. What WE ARE FED UP WITH .... is the numerous people using alts, alts tagging fleets illegally, buying blocking port attack flags. WE are completedly TIRED of it. I don't care what nation they are....british, spanish, danish, pirate, american. IF you do it and ruin peoples hours playing and cause people to leave the game or quit out of frustration.... It doesn't matter..... who you are or what your reasoning. IF YOU CHEAT OR DO SOMETHING in knowing violation of game rules...YOU GET THE NERF HAMMER..... there is no middle ground. you did it or you didn't. We are all adults here and we know right from wrong. It's not subject to what nation you are, or what ever your petty reasoning. Its wrong or its right. that simple. No matter what banter is being thrown around. The subjects in question were WRONG...and they need to be punished. If a british captain did this...I would be the first person saying the exact same thing i am now. I hate cheaters and have no patience for them.
  7. This is nothing more than smearing the topic at hand! This is a tribunal Post referring to Zombie Pirate and plotting associates and there Blantant VIOLATION of the Flag Rules. It has been stated that this should and would be punished by the Dev's and it is clear and convicting. PERIOD. We need an example made of this. It just so happens that said individuals were so happy with themselves that they needed to brag about it to others and in the process incriminate themselves. I don't care what your reasons were, what your excuses are. All i care is what you did!!!! You broke the rules...you need to pay the price. That simple.
  8. No, we actually like fighting pirates. ACTUAL PIRATES...its what british captains LIVE FOR!! But listening to Danes/dressing up as pretend pirates...or pretend pirates trying to tear down other pirates.....RUINS THE GAME. We are not defending pirates..we are defending the GAME. The game that your trying to ruin with your kindergarden childish rants. Grow up and be a pirate or go back to the danes.
  9. I think this is a clear case of flag purchase mechanics. The spanish had an alt purchase a flag as a british midshipman, given money from another british midshipmen...who were both conveniantly deleted. This denied us from attacking the port of Misteriosa last week. This is completely convicting evidence of the same thing being done but within one's own nation. Buying a flag to deny an enemy throught cheating or by malicious means is completely wrong, it wrecks the game for players. Pirates who came on and spent hours moving ships into place, getting up early, planning and starting attacks taking ports making money. Just becuase you don't agree with another fleet doesn't mean you have right to mess with thier plans. I move for punishment and the evidence is very incriminating.
  10. LOL, I think this is hilarious. All the people complaining are acting like your a nation. Big Valco is acting like a pirate!!! He doesn't work for the british, the danes, the spanish..... He does what he wants...attacks for who he wants, when he wants. He has no agreement with any british fleet, he attempt to ransom ports. He threatens us, He haggles with us. But he is no british puppet. All of the above...is what a pirate is noun 1.a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea or on the shoresof the sea. 2.a ship used by such persons. 3.any plunderer, predator, etc That is the def. of a pirate. All of you complaining & whining in the pirate nation...you are a nation. NOT PIRATES. Too hilarious...pirates complaining and trying to prevent pirates from taking opposing ports LOL
  11. Well, I'm a level 50 crafter. I have every bp but a pavel. I gained the Trinc, Constitution and 3rd rate bp's by doing just this. Currently if you are a high enough crafter you have a very good chance of getting a bp drop. So I'm not talking out my arse per say, I'm talking by experience and if it is a 5x dura, 3x dura or a 1 dura for each class and is full health this also buffs your chances....so yes it actually is a fact and i did this before THEY BUFFED the bp drop.....so form your own opinion. I have mine.
  12. The tribunal has zero power, the devs won't take the time and effort into doing a thorough investigation. It's not just this obvious case, with an abundant amount of I'm formation provided. It's all other cases as well. This case has abundant information and is very clear cut. If nothing is done here then the less clear cases are gonna be viewed a joke. You either take this serious devs or dont. We take it serious, so if your not then stop wasting our time, becuase what the point of taking, names screen shots or gathering info and you do nothing. I'm not raging here, I'm stating cold facts and reasoning. We as players can deal with this either way. But sitting in middle ground saying you will but can't and humming and hawking but doing nothing is frustrating more than anything. Take a position please

The accusation against pirates and danish misconduct is due to it always happening right at or before a port attack and screening fleets are conviently, dragged into battle and reinforcements are called by single players preventing them from escaping. And it only occurs during these circumstances. It is always a day or 2 old player in a cutter with no fleet and they tend to be deleted with 24hrs. Developers will not track down ip address, so this is a pointless conversation. Tribunal cannot do a thing to punish this conduct due to this exact reason. If the ip is not traced to primary player ip, then no punishment is given.

  15. Anytime you do something, in real life or in game you learn. How to do something more efficient or new ways to do it a different way that is more innovating. Mining building should give you some crafting exp. It does have to be a large amount but something exp wise should be giving much like making planks out of oak.
  16. Omg..... all you do is attack ai low level ships, save money and just buy a rank equivalent ship and or build yourself one if tour a crafter. Same effort and easier than starting over.
  17. Not a bad idea, but...... until they fix the port flag costs (increase to like 1.5 million) and remove or fix A.I. third rate issue. All you will see is 30 ports Change hands everyday becuase it would be impossible to defend anything. Being a British player and fleet adm. I would lose my mind trying to defend any British port from spain, danes, french, pirates, americans. Anyone could attack at almost anytime. It would work if and when they fix said issues to make port attacks more costly in money and craftiness ship losses.
  18. This is the era of the "BLING"!!!! THE MORE gold & silver you put on your ship and the more colorful your ship was the more important and imposing you were. Camo... has no place in this era my friend.
  19. Being a level 50 crafter, I have to say I could pump out a trincomolee every day. I could pump out a victory or Santi every 2-3 days. The note changes do help slow the higher crafters down. Esepically due to the exceptional modules we create. Mid grade note are now just as sought after as high grade notes. It makes the high level craters plan hours and weekly shipbuilding out more detailed I build that victory and make 4 high notes, but where do I get those 12 mid grade notes for that exceptional mast,magazine access and opt. Rudder??? Fleets have to plan this out. Doing almost triple the work than before. It also makes the low and middle level craters very important not just the high levels. Every crafter becomes very important in each level. Ship building took lots of time in real life and should to a degree in game. Only thing would be to drop migrates and lower levels slightly. Like miss from 200 to 150 as example
  20. The only problem is that in this time period most nations copied each others ship designs. This could be incorporate by capping foreign ships and breaking up for bp drops. It would have to wait for ship lines to expand over up coming year.
  21. Why there Darby? that conversation has fallen into a discussion that doesn't even discuss the thirds..it has devolved into a multi topic conversation. Which is why i posted it here. I really am at my wits end with this game and the broken mechanic's and really wacked economy, and cheats certain players are using. I really love this game, it has so much potentional and I know it is so very close to having just come out of Alpha. But the game is becoming an entity that isn't worth most of the players time... cause are time is being wasted and people are already are leaving the game fast than they are buying it. Numbers are dropping at all hours of the game and trust me as a british captain. I'm up 12 hours a day defending port after port after port after port. I have no time to grind, no time to just sit and relax in game. Its battle after battle after battle..fighting in a game that is broken and a large segment of the games players are soo tired and burned out by it. I speak for a large base of players who are starting to hate this game and will move on to the next if moderators and developers don't start taking notice. With that said ... I guess its off to the off beat post...where the point has been lost. Fix the third rates, Fix the port attack flag issue, fix these things and it will be a great start...till then the game is just something that will drive people away. Please fix it. Good night.
  22. No Lord Roberts. ONLY AI capped 3rd RATES...not a capped user ship or store bought ship.. ONLY 3rd Rates that are AI capped. Sorry Steel..been 10 hours online and sleep deprived lol
  23. In the Closed Alpha for us older players, we used to have A.I. Pavel Fleets. They were removed due to being easy to cap, and used in great numbers in port battles with no crafting being conducted. Initially we all moaned about it and yearned for that easy 2nd rate cap that we could no longer do They were removed and they became much more rare. People took care of their Pavel's and crafting took began in response to this. I believe that we have reached a point where the common 3rd Rate has almost reach this point. They are very numerous on the open sea in single, double, triple and the rare quad fleets. The problem with them is not so simple..so lets list the sides: The problem with the 3rd Rate is dual.... Positive 1) Players need them to level (great kill/assist) exp. 3rd Rates give 250/500 xp per kill. Most of any A.I. ship. 2) It's the first real line ship a player can use and most frequently used ship in game for grinding and port battles. 3) Makes a player lots of loot if sold along with guns. On average you can get 35-45k per ship and another 20-25k in guns sold. 4) Large amounts can be captured during several hours of team grinding. Speed cap's with boarding mods can take as little as 5 minutes. 5) The Ship can be found EVERWHERE on the open world map by everybody. 6) Encourages Port Battles....Free easily accessed Port Battle ships. Negative 1) The A.I. 3rd rates are too easily capped and in large amounts. Players can easily cap A.I. 3rd Rates at about 1 ship per 15 min on average. 2) Crafting....The easy access to free 3rd Rates via capping A.I. fleets. Why craft or build a ship when you can get one for free?? This makes crafting a 3rd Rate pointless. You can get a Pavel BP from a Constitution build so why build a 3rd rate when you can cap one? 3) 3rd Rates are taken for granted. Lose a 3rd rate in battle? Who cares grab one of the 10 capped one's sitting in port. The ship is taken for granted. Its not appreciated and won't be till they become much rarer. No point in crafting and taking care of a 3rd rate, like you would your Trincomolee or Bellona. Why would you? you could just go cap another in 15 min. 4) Port Battles are happening Too Much!! they are happening too much and the usage of 3rd Rates are getting silly, example. Pirates and Danes throw fleets of 25/25 capped 3rd Rates at Jeremy every night for almost a week defended by the British. They lost combined close to 50 third rates attacking each night for 7 nights. That's 350 sunken third rates at 1 port. That is ridiculous... even more so is that the pirates and danes didn't even flinch!! why would they? if those had been Bellona's, Pavels, Victorys or Santi's...you bet they would be cringing. 5) These are causing too many port battles with flags that are too cheap. They are giving a large influx of currency for the economy but not towards crafting.... or the economy..but for flag after flag after flag..with no cost to attacker or defender. a) Realistic - Port attacks took up huge amounts of preparation and supplies. Ships could not easily be replaced. Flags in game are too cheap and the cheap third rates are not allowing nations to feel the sting of a poor/failed attack. Players are getting a little burned out in some nations/not all... at the rate of Port Battles and even if you the defender and you sink every single enemy ship in a 25 v 25 port battle. You get no real victory..cause they are coming tomorrow with..25 more. yes you get xp or currency for it, but there is no strategic value to it??? 6) It makes crafting kind of pointless in the Conni - 3rd Rate category. Why build a Constitution if you can just sail a capped 3rd Rate? There is no point.... Why craft a 3rd Rate? There is no point again, due to A.I. 3rd Rate fleets. If we eliminate A.I. 3rd Rates. People will use the Constitutions, until they can get a 3rd Rate BP and build some and even then you might not want to risk that nice 3 dura 3rd Rate you have. You will see a much needed increase in the use of Constitutions and the crafting of both Constitutions and 3rd Rates. I know thirds are a part of the world exp/port battle/money equation but my opinion is they need to go the way of the pavel. Port battles should be carefully planned battles where you SHOULD be scared to lose your crafted ship..not disposable ship that has 10 clones standing by. Make you think wither that attack is worth it.
