  1. can you tell me please in which faction you play, since I'm quite online in spain lately and never saw anything similar. PS: where they asking paint for cutters?
  2. And also "half developed games with no money" die. So ... basically ... you are right: end of the story.
  3. That could work (to a certain extent) just for veterans already playing now, not for new players and even less for old players. Is this enough to get the money for new development? I have some doubt
  4. And yet - while you call me shortsighted - you did not point out even one example of some "alternative" (and not P2W) DLCs.
  5. Can you tell me then one example of a DLC content - besides a powerful ship - that can make either 1) old players pay real money to return in game 2) new players pay real money to fund the game beyond the cost of the game itself 3) veterans pay real money to stay further in a game that is boring them
  6. No, mate. It's not the same at all. I pointed out the reasons of my position, you just say that "P2W" is wrong because it's wrong. Look at the result of last patch in terms of players in game after the patch! it was the worst "flash post-patch increase" we have ever had. Notwithstanding the sale on the game and the DLCs, we are now back to average 400ish players after a couple of weeks We NEED new content in order to let this game live on ... this means, since Devs stated clearly that they are short on resources, that we NEED new money in Game Labs cash to get this thing ahead This being the status quo, would you now please TELL ME how do you think to get this money if not proposing to customers paid content that is worth the money they will pay?
  7. Ok mate, go on repeating your slogans then, but at least do not complain or whine if the game will die for the lack of new content.
  8. yes because premium content shall be premium or it won't sell. And if DLCs will not sell, this game will die for lack content and lack of resources for developments of more content. Nerf to death now premium ships already bought by players and you will never sell another premium ship. Is it really so diffucult to understand? Moreover: they are asking for a premium ship the price o a couple of beer in a cheap pub and the (remaining) playerbase of this game is made mostly of adult people, so what's the point of all that jazz about P2W? PS: Please NOTE that I did not buy niether the hercules nor the requin, so I'm not defending my personal interests here.
  9. Just keep the requin out of PB ... that's all.
  10. TBH devs are caught in crossfire here: if premium ships are "good" they would sell good (and this will mean new resources for development) but there will be an outrage for "P2W", otherwise they will not sell much and this will be bad for the game future (no money no development). They have to choose the lesser evil (that, in my opinion, would be making good premium ships).
  11. go on laughing then ... but that's it: since DLC was sold as a specific digital good, they can of course shut down the game but they cannot change a specific digital good after they have sold it. It would be a breach of contract.
  12. the game has already a premium 5th rate, so a 4th rate would be better
  13. Creo que con ese (medio) parche quedò bastante claro que la fiesta se esta acabando. Ayer anoche (o sea nada menos que el sabado despues del parche) solo vi unos 500 jugadores en linea.
  14. They cannot (legally) change the cooldown for people that has already bought and paid the ship. So I guess longer cooldown may come just for possible future premium ships.
  15. 40k is peanuts mate. You make them with a 10 minutes trade trip or in a single "hit and board" lvl 5 mission. C'mon. I have no premium ship but all this anger about DLCs is frankly speaking an overraction (or a cliché). PS: not counting that if you can afford an internet connection you can buy a 10 Euro DLC with ease.
  16. And what should they drop, since BP do not drop from ship breaking since a long ago?
  17. Thks for info A little suggestion: can you add a counter of ship slots in port screen? I'm sure all players would apreciate a lot
  18. If green on green is consensual, it's permitted.
  19. I can understand the problem of balance raised by Christendom about shallow port battles, but all the rest seems actually an overreaction. At the end of the story the mighty hercules could end up costing 10 dollars or something like that ... so let's wait the acutal DLCs before rising a shitstorm for an allegedly P2W ship (only in shallows waters BTW) that a player could purchase once for good for the price of a pizza + beer in a cheap restaurant.
  20. Everything different from Port battles that needs a ship to do it?
  21. C'mon guys, let's be realist of once. If premium content is not ... premium, who is disposed to buy it? Or even worse: if they launch a ship as premium (so a bit OP) and then they stealth-nerf it by tweaking the other ships, who will buy next DLC ships? Once bitten, twice shy. New money is the only way to have new contents properly developed in this game also for people that will not buy DLCs. And to get new money you have to sell good things.
  22. We already are four cats in one server, spilt us and we end up being two cats in each server (which is worse). I never was a supporter of the merge, but getting back now to a EU server would be a planned suicide for us and them
  23. Then you should have also re-grind your ship knowledge as anyone else. Everyone has its own concept of "fariness" here, and I do not see any objective reasons why to treat in one way ship knowledge "rewards" and other kind of rewards, since they both are "rewards" for time and effort spent in game. And to TBH getting rare skill books takes much more time and effort than grinding ship knowledge, so they should be higher than ship knowledge in the list of "saved" things. PS: keep in mind also that another hard-wipe (it would be the third or fourth, I do not remember) in the acutal situation really could bring with it the risk of killing the game population.
  24. I hope they will keep also already learnt crafting recipes and skill books, since they are basically the same (grind) things as ship knowledge. Ships, gold, assets, outposts and building can go (except for eventually premium contents, which would have been paid in real money)... they are not difficult to recover.
