  1. Added it for you, just picked some random port names
  2. They should (and do) fire much more accurately than our guns on the ship. Simply because they are based on a static platform, and not an unstabe ship, with more guns on its decks which all add their part to the wobble.
  3. How do you define a snow, anyway? I thought the snow in game is snow because it has guns in two decks, or perhaps the tall hull structure, but if the Niagara is a snow too, then I have no idea.
  4. Républicaine française Builder: Bordeaux Ordered: Launched: 1794 Fate: renamed Renommée in 1795; captured by British Navy in 1796, becoming HMS Renommee. Broken up 1810
  5. Why name one server from a great city, and the other 3 from mere colonies, or less known towns? I would like something like: -Plymouth -Portsmouth -Dover -Weymouth -Bristol Or, if thats too much english names, then: -Plymouth -Brest -Copenhagen -Toulon -Kronstadt -Feodosia -Göteborg -Cadiz -Gibraltar -Algericas (basically naval base cities) To me, it feels like a server named from a famous city will be more attractive to people, than some less important ports.
  6. Well, if you board a ship, you can take its cargo. If you blow it to hell, you can't. Seems reasonable to me.
  7. Yesterday night, our 3rd rate blew up in the middle of the enemy fleet, killed 5 or 6 enemy frigates trying to capture her, as well as our Constitution. Then burned down before the battle ended. It was glorious.
  8. My HD7770 stops at around 67°C. I read that its safe, but it is still the highest temperature it gets, out of all my games, including Fallout 4.
  9. I am not sure if the current 3rd rate named ship is the same as the Bellona. I heard they are two completely different ships, aside from the fact that they are both 74 gun 3rd rate ships of the line. I agree with you on changing the generic names though.
  10. Today evening, as the indefatigable officers of the United Provinces Royal Navy were trying to assemble a worthy fleet to take another deep water port for our great cause, a courier ship arrived from the recently captured Cumana, carrying the terrible news: the fierce and rapidly expanding Sverige has assembled an assault fleet against Macanao, a spanish, but unpleasantly close port. The officers made a quick decision: the gathering fleet has to intercept the swedish group, and force them into battle, preferably before they reach their destination. The preparations did not go well, the fleet was still assembling when the rally point was changed to La Tortuga, a nearby shallow water port, west of Macanao. Our fleet was scattered by a storm on the way, and the rally took just a little bit too long. We reached Macanao with our own capture order just as the victorious swedish fleet was exiting the port after its fall. They immediately engaged us in a fierce battle, where the dutch fleet had a slight advantage in both ships and firepower, as, against the swedish frigate fleet, we deployed a 3rd rate ship of the line, as well as several Constitution class heavy frigates. The swedes did not waste their time, they immediately tried to break through our line and separate our biggest ships. However, our line held the attack, as the battleship managed to evade the attacking enemy column, while our frigates' superior firepower showed itself. Here, I would like to thank our two brave captains, NLguinessNL and Skinner, who showed great bravery in the thick of battle, and led their ships right into the middle of the attacking viking fleet, causing great confusion and preventing their front units from retreating. Several swedish vessels were majorly damaged and had to withdraw from the battle, while their comerades were suffering under our more and more unbearable fire. As the swedish group turned against the wind, our line followed them, causing minor collisions in the process. The fleet managed to single out a few more of the routing swedish ships, but by the time the battle ended, our attack order expired, the new orders from the Admiralty commanded us to regroup and brace for another possible battle. There can be no doubt, we will be ready. Losses: Dutch: 3x 5th rate ships 2x 7th rate ships Sverige: 8x 5th rate ships EDIT: battle aftermath, we killed one of the survivors at the very end of the battle.
  11. This bragging is getting ridiculous. Have patience.
  12. Dordrecht <3 The absence of the (pretty common) ~50 gun 4th rate (?) ships of the era is rather obvious.
  13. I listen to some live stream channel while playing, and watch it too while traveling. For example, Shenryyr has a very relaxing voice, and I like the games he plays. Listening to streams that play NA is very scary though, I look around all the time to find the source of roaring guns, or fire bells.
  14. There could be interception missions where you are given an enemy's starting and ending point with an estimated speed (big marker moving on the map as it proceeds on its way, like the current mission markers), and you have to intercept the ship(s) before they reach their destination.
  15. This project is really great, especially since its a swedish ship. Thanks for your work.
  16. I am really curious to see refined crew and officer management, but the most burning problem is the lack of diverse missions (trade, delivery, exploration for example) to possibly keep more players in the game. Still voted for the crew management, for that is my personal opinion.
  17. There is a pretty active clan, the United Provinces Royal Navy. Look for Jda940 in game, he is the leader, nice guy. There is an entry fee of 10k gold, for which you gain access to a number of captured ships, if you can crew them. For example, he has captured Cerberus, Frigate, Renomée, and even a Constitution. The clan has a friendly attitude towards anyone, groups of people doing all sorts of missions, and ever growing numbers. We also have TS3 server, english language. If you want, ask about UPRN in the Dutch chat, there will be someone to reply your call. We are usually around Fort Oranje.
