  1. I wouldnt mind going, just to meet some old enemies and hear em out but i highly doubt il be one of the golden three.
  2. Lol fuck that shit, there is no solution now just like there wasnt in feb, march last year. And the whole time inbetween. Agreements between players representing nations invariably lead back to this. Idk i love this game too much to quit because of rvr. Adapt and react.
  3. Id like to think most of those shitheads have fucked off by now but my pessimistic side sees your point.
  4. It wasnt directed anyone man, im not saying anyone is right or wrong. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and thats just mine. Honestly i dont care, if ppl wanna nightflip an ninja ports then they are killing their own enjoyment of the game just as much as the other guy's. Its pretty simple, its our choice as a community whether or not we wanna self destruct. Sooner or later one side has to be the better man and end the bullshit, we dont have the game pop anymore for these shenanigans.
  5. All i know for sure is that splitting up the remaining TESTERS into separate servers with game pop being what it is at this juncture can only lead to even more empty port battles and OW than we have now. In regards to justifications for dick moves im stunned that any nation would point a finger at this point, much less 7 fucking pages of it.
  6. Listening and acting on player feedback is good. Too much of it is akin to having 10 people on a ship's wheel each trying to steer in a different direction. Looking forward to the changes, hold fast devs.
  7. I'd have to throw my vote for the napoleonic era. It would seem to present quite a few options in terms of different campaigns like the invasion of Russia, the peninsular campaign, austerlitz, Waterloo and the battles fought in the preceding days. Definitely looking forward to another ultimate general.
  8. Starboard battery ready/standing by Port battery ready/standing by "Cut away the rigging!" OR something to that effect when a mast topples Apologies if any of these were already suggested.
  9. Well it is national news after all, theres drama to be found everywhere if that's what you're really looking for.
  10. Seemed to be a play on the upcoming port reset...?
  11. I totally understand, and i wasn't saying pop imbalance doesn't exist. I was just trying to point out that there are limited options on how the issue (if you see it as one) might be addressed in an effective way. Snoopy's suggestion has merit but would bonuses and buffs or even negative attributes stop an englishman from playing GB? Would it make a brand new player who doesn't speak spanish or french play Spain or France? You might convince a few but id be willing to bet that in the long term it wont solve this issue, but it would be fun to test, and would be a good place to start trying to shift pop. My point was you cant force or coerce paying customers to not do what they want to do by taking away options. You can only encourage them to make the choice you want them to make which, i believe, was Snoopy's angle. Im pretty sure weenies that want an easy ride aren't the only reason why some nations have higher pops.
  12. Imho nation balancing would be detrimental to any potential growth in total playerbase. The only feasable way to do it would be to limit the nation choice for new incoming players, you certainly cant force current players to switch without massive unrest. There will always be larger nations, its up to the rest of us to decide how best to deal with them. Imo this fits the "sandbox" game style. As for nations getting curb stomped, i dont think as many people leave the game because "they lost", rather the majority get burned out. Anyone whos been around long enough knows that (especially now with alliance blocs) its all but impossible to actually KEEP a nation at a few ports and any attempt to do so for an extended period would require an absurd amount of dedication and time. Somehow, whether its veterans or devs, newer players should be made aware that all is not lost in these situations. Its happened before and i can guarantee you it will happen again. Ive always been under the impression that at some point there will be an uptick in active users. I think this should be kept in mind when suggesting ideas that would alter the long term end product to satisfy current, possibly short term issues. Of course i could be completely wrong about all of this and im sure ill read all about it.
  13. Add incentives to large battles and bring back Trafalgars! A few days of 1v1s might be amusing but a whole week seems like overkill. A round of admin sponsored trafalgars would draw a crowd for sure. It would also get people playing together with players from other nations that they would otherwise be fighting against. You never know, it might help detox some of the animosity thats been simmering.
  14. Rock on dude, i have no idea what you are trying to say here:(
  15. I often wonder how much more fun things would have been had we stayed aligned with GB or the US at the beginning. The alliance blocks would look quite different. Who knows, we might have ended fighting a united Antilles front lol. Unfortunately it didn't work out and that, as they say, is that.
  16. Like i said i don't really care for diplomacy or forum crusading anymore. No one else has the ability to stop me from finding a good time in this game. At some point all this regurgitated bullshit just loses its appeal. I just want to see more than 200 ppl online at primetime 6 months from now. I hate to see people leave Spain for avoidable reasons, but honestly id even rather see them play for GB then leave the game and a negative review on steam.
  17. Whats worse, those ppl in Spain who do this or the people from other nations who legitimize their wayward rhetoric through words and actions which undercut any attempt at actually changing attitudes regarding potential diplomatic solutions to our current stalemate from within? Personally i couldn't care less because atm people in Espana are working together as we always do when we get pushed back this far. The timers and their intent as openly expressed by Crowley are nothing but a slap in the face to any and all Espana players pubby or not, who log on to this game to have a good time regardless of strategic intent.
  18. 16 pages...All in all, just another brick in the wall dividing this community. Just remember, as the hate heats up, server pop goes down.
  19. I hear you, been fighting that battle for a long time and all i have to show for it is a forum warning and a couple chat bans.
  20. Look on the bright side, once we have nothing left to defend, we can move en masse down south with the danes and french. It will be a much shorter commute to jamaica
  21. Right on man, and btw timer shenanigans have been a problem for a loong time now. Its no use arguing over at this point, we've had that covered for about the last 6 or 7 months.
