  1. The Dutch will certainly get at least one ship in game soon. Can we move on from that now please?
  2. Not entirely what you are looking for but here are some ideas
  3. Certain rumours have reached my ears while getting waste... I-i-i mean while resting at the Inselstübchen tavern at Green Cay. There was a young fellow that was sitting at the table across mine. Unfortunately for him, he managed to get drunk as a skunk and before collapsing, some information slipped from him and found their way to my boatswain who was his drinking partner that night. That young fellow, apparently was the aide-de-camp of the garrison commander and he overheard a conversation between him and the Governor of the island. The Governor urged the Commander to patch all the holes on the fort and prepare all the men and defences to their best shape as fast as possible. He seemed to have implied that something important will happen..
  4. Also: "She is shown with a raised quarterdeck and forecastle on the plan, which is dated April 1761 ( ie before the prize was formally purchased), so these are probably as captured; the height underneath them is only 5ft aft and 4ft 6in forward."
  5. Quoting Ian McLauglhan from the Sloop of War 1650-1763 about Sardoine: "[..]was built at Nantes to the design of Jacques-Luc Coulomb. She had four sisters;in fact the French Navy commisioned nine corvettes designed by Coulomb, most listed as 100ft lenght on deck.[..] If the corvettes produced under the supervision of Blaise Ollivier appear extreme in hull design, they are nothing compared to Sardoine, whose sections exhibit an exaggerated version of the earlier designs. Sardoine was builit thirteen years later after La Palme and in addition to her highly developed hull, she was about 10ft longer and was pierced for nine guns a side, though armed with only twelve 4pdrs. She was commissioned into the Royal Navy at Portsmouth in 1761 and given an extra pair of 4pdrs. The waterlines in the half-breadth plan provide a clear view of the remarkably fine ends of this vessel, particulary that of the run. Her sheer plan shows the French preference for only a light degree of rake at bow and stern, but there is exaggeration in that her sternpost is actually raked forwards, Like the earlier corvettes, she has a marked degree of tumblehome which may help stability by bringing the weight of the gguns closer to the centreline but at the same time it would have made their handling difficult, possibly reducing their rate of fire; it was also less effective at dampening rolling than more 'wall-sided' designs.[..]"
  6. Chinese, Mongols and Japanese sailing Victories might be stretching it a bit. Maybe find another alternative nation where you guys will be more willing to join? I guess Portugal is a good option since they had Goa in India, Macau in China and traded with the Japanese since the mid 16th century.
  7. A 3rd Rate and a frigate to fill the gaps between Cutter and Pickle? Plus we need to know what cannons they carried
  8. The displayed rank in the OW should change with the rate of the ship you are sailing.. Maybe with an asterisk next to it to show you are max rank.

  10. Yes this could deffinetely work I think that this has been addresed in the past by admin as well. All of the foreign calibre cannons are converted to their closest British counterpart. I believe that the differences in weight are minor but dont quote me on that.
  11. Her British armament is way less I think. Why is her in game armament 12x9pdr and 12x6pdr? I don't believe that she can carry that much
  12. You can't leave this amazing privateer out: https://threedecks.org/index.php?display_type=show_ship&id=19093
  13. The only thing that concerns me is that there will be so much traffic at Shroud Cay (either because of people looking for PvP, or to move resources etc) that we wont be able to move..
  14. There is a difference in satisfying in-game nations that represent a larger chunk of the playerbase rather than consumer groups from certain nations These changes benefited or not, larger chunks of the playerbase of multiple nationalities to impove the game in general and not only to satisfy certain nationalities. Just my humble opinion
  15. True, but from a point and on, stuff that make it into the game, shouldn't be about who has the biggest playerbase. For example Russia has a few ships into the game, the Germans got the Wapen and now Prussia which is fair but it shouldn't be about always satisfying them.
  16. Because it basically makes one game the same with the other in the longterm? Just sayin
  17. Why suggest that towing a first rate should cost the same as a 5th rate mission then?
  18. So combined with the new port battle changes we could have clans that could behave as their own nation. Adding many more factions could be beneficial to PvP and appeal to more players and potentional players. Could you share your thoughs on that please?
  19. I wish i could get that as a late birthday present
  20. So combined with the new port battle changes we could have clans that could behave as their own nation. Adding many more factions could be beneficial to PvP and appeal to more players and potentional players. Could you share your thoughs on that please? Btw Commonwealth colonial navy? Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth or British Commonwealth? Because the second one doesn't really makes sense. Having GB two times.
