  1. Maybe like an overview window as well that will be viewable by people who haven't joined. Something like the description that already is there, but bigger and customizable with images and stuff. Obviously only if the database capacity allows it. PvP battles, ports controlled and maybe port battles won are a good start.
  2. Optional subscription with cosmetic treats or one time buy cosmetic stuff. Paints flags etc
  3. Trinc heels a bit too much I think. It can be useful but I don't know if if that's correct. Also, do you think that if the gun ports of some ships touch the water or are a bit submerged, we should get an effect same as leaking?
  4. Crafters build ships=They move stuff around=People to raid. I don't want my content to be limited and i doubt that people who like crafting would like to be pushed aside even more.
  5. Super high res modelling plans. I had to upload them to google drive because imgur messes up the quality. If you know any image hoster that doesnt rescale the images please let me know. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dX7qwHYc3UldqHu-1e2K2wq31y8bK33N https://drive.google.com/open?id=13PMUDgz3mq7B-yuYyLFCLANLNfMZPjwm
  6. True but most of the times T works as well. I didn't metion neutralising the sails because i thought it was obvious. Well it seems it wasn't
  7. The game can't and shouldn't hold your hand for everything. If there is no skill and thinking involved its just a boring shooter with the one that has the most guns wins.
  8. Trinc's heeling has been increased. It can easily reach 12 degrees. But I've embraced and some time it looks like you are firing at the enemy with off map artillery How where ships getting unstuck when they were beached back then? Maybe we could get something similar in the game?
  9. Loving every bit of the mechanics right now. I can't think how combat can get any better now. If only you could the same on other aspects of the game that would be great! I'll hoping. Keep up the good work
  10. I say that we should take it one step further and restrict the ships only to the nations that made them... Bah.. Like a lot of people before me have said, we are not here to reenact history. Alternate history scenarios can be way more fun.
  11. Don't you think that your proposal oversimplifies the already limited crafting content?
  12. We left. But we decided to go back and try to bury the hatchet, and finally cooperate with our Gerrman comrades to keep the nation alive
  13. The game's pace is slow enough that alleviates any high ping issues. I have played in global with ~180 ping and its not that bad. You have to plan ahead a bit and that's all
  14. I am not sure that i understand what you mean by stationing ships there at any time. Can you rephrase it? I would be in favour of reducing the amount of missions. The percentage of hostility should be generated by the amount of ships that are garrisoned and the extra people that join and get sunk. Or maybe you are proposing something else? I like the battlegroup idea. Could be done, yes, but maybe a bit too hard to calculate and define.
  15. Since the room to mauneuver -regarding new mechanics- is limited, i am proposing a port hostility mechanic that will be slightly more PvP orientated. So, what if the ships in the hostility missions were player made and captained? After a succesfull portbattle versus the AI(assuming the map has been reset and the port was neutral), the players will have to "garrisson" the newly captured port using the ship that they have captained in the PB. This will hopefully lead to a bigger variation in PB fleet for reasons that will be explained below. The ships that will appear in the hostility missions, will be the ships that the players have garrissoned. When a hostility mission starts the people that have garrissoned a ship, will get a notification saying that the have 10 mins to join that mission and take the place of the AI. If not, the AI will keep sailing the ship. Players that got sunk during the victorious PB will still be able to garrison ships after if there are slots available. (The will have to sail the ship there- Debatable). Teleporting to the town where the hostility is being raised is allowed from any friendly port but towing a ship there is not if the mission has already started. Garrissoned ship cannot be swaped at any point. Repairs can be added/removed. Amount of ships that are garrissoned could be limited. That amount could be raised by delivering a resource/ accomplishing a task or something else. (Debatable) If no ships are garrissoned and the attacker starts a mission, they automaticly get 25% after the empty instance says Battle Over. (Or they just raise it to 25% instantly). The less the ships that are garrisoned, the bigger the percentage they will give after they get sunk (out of 25%). Example: 5 ships are garrissoned, the are worth 5% each Extra reinforcments that join the defender side - besides the garrissoned forces- could give extra %. (Debatable) Cooldown for the next hostility mission should be added to allow the defenders to re-garrisson the town.(Maybe a day?) Attacking forces can only use ships depending on the port type. Example: You cannot use 1st rates in a 4th rate hostility mission and so on. Hopefully i havent forgot anything What are your thoughts/improvements ?
  16. Guys, I have been playing the game a fairly long time as all of you I am pretty sure for what I saw. AI was firing a normal broadside from all decks while turning away from me. He stopped firing when he has fired half of his broadside pretty much and at the same time he stopped turning away. After a sec or so he resumed from there where he has stopped firing previously. Hey I could be wrong about it I won't deny that. Regardless of that as far as I know the gun batteries and crews were divided and each had its own officer. So it was possible to fire only some of them if the order was received.
  17. I am pretty sure that the whole broadside was loaded. Also it took the AI a second or less to resume firing from where he has previously stopped from all decks. For the record it was a Bellona. Will keep looking if it happens again.
  18. I've noticed that the AI(yes i fight AI from time to time) can interrupt his broaside and resume firing after it gets a better angle. So we could get the same ability to sometimes avoid some friendly fire or get a better angle ourselves. Maybe J or Y key could be assigned for it. Also a 5(?) second cooldown could be added to avoid spamming it for sniping maybe.
  19. That's your opinion and of course you are entitled to it But I,personally, am in favour of as much freedom and flavour I can get. Obviously the new nations shouldn't be only about fancy flags etc and that's what I'm working on. Diversity and options are what make people spend more time on and have fun with it imho. If you have any ideas on how you can make them work I would love to hear them
  20. It won't affect the player base in any way. People who want to fight will always fight. People who want to fight vs equally or better skilled captains will now know that they can find these kind of fights versus those nations. Basically preventing the mistake that people made when they joined the new hardcore nations when they didn't know what they were about. It's also an extra motive for people who want to sail under their "own" flag or get seperated from inner nation drama that sometimes happen
  21. We all know that if it happens, these ships won't stay nation restricted for long. It has happened before with the pirate frigate if I am not mistaken. Anyway ship exclusiveness is just one motive that is proposed. It's not necessarily the one. Just one of the possible ones. Haven't really found another one yet though
