US Live oak NPC prices

Hey there.

I've been recently producing live oak for the US nation at Sunbury (port). I try to make as minimal income as possible selling the Live oak, and then giving the fine ones to the nations crafters.

However, I've noticed a problem. The NPC's at Sunbury sells the live oak (300 or so) for 217. It restocks daily. The cost for a player to make ONE live oak is 210. And if you then add the fee it costs to SELL the live oak, it is not possible to make profit under the NPC's price. That's why it is necessary to buy out the NPC before selling yours at a reasonable price.

This is abuse able (free money) and stupid for trading.

Thanks,

Lz

I think you should count your blessings that you have access to live oak, the spread of resources in the current patch is a bit horrible to work with, its put me off crafting all together for at least the short term. Britain has poor access to any wood, except national good style oak and teak which can't be used in crafting. The idea is good but the availability needs a rethink.

We're indeed very happy and are willing to give to our allies. But if the NPC sells cheaper than we can produce at minimum I believe that should be fixed. The plantations aren't free

I can produce in Savannah, 4 FirLog for 220 Gold and 1 LH =55 Per Unit. And when Npc's sell at lowest price 51gold @ Kids Harbor next Islet 53 per unit and than La Habana for 55.

But i dont woud Sail to Kids Harbor when i coud buy it at my main Harbor for 60 or 70 Gold.

At least i can understand you that it is a mass for you when NPC'S sell the same stuff as you but at a lower price than the production coasts.

I think the spread of strategic resources is meant to be unbalanced to promote conquest.

There does also need to be some balance of resources to promote conquest, at the moment you can basically shut Britain down if you want to, I like the idea that specialist resources are there to force conflict but its not worked out very well, Britain has some poor access to mahogany and some oak but for the most part it is very limited, thankfully we have a good supply of tea and mechanical looms to wage war with. I'm not saying it was a bad move by the devs, i'm just trying to point out that adjustments need to be made like the good little alpha tester I am

I think it would be a good idea to make basic woods and materials like iron and hemp more readily balanced, even if ahistorically just to promote a basic level of combative ability for each nation while making the more sought after woods and better prizes something that can be fought over, necessities should be fairly covered, it should be luxuries that drive empires!

It is also to be more historically accurate in regards to location of resources and to the feel of the national ships. The latter meaning that Brits had their English Oak and did not have access nor the fortitude to gain the better Live Oak from southern US.

Rather than people instantly making complaints about the change the need to give it a true attempt. Go out and conquer, or raid and use the delivery system. There are ways to gather resources that might take some time, but this kind of game is not meant to cater to those who have no patience.

I would like to see testing vids of each wood type (including the fine types) on the same ship with the same cannon. Remember, we are here to test this game.
