  1. SORRY and the Spaniards are a nice fit -- all the blowhards in one bag.
  2. I agree that automatic material deliveries are a problem. They kill trade routes. I've long argued that Port Battles, with their ever increasing set of Rube Goldbergesque rules to try to get them to work are nonsensical, unworkable and should be gotten rid of. Robust trade routes and trade centers would organically drive PVP. Alas, I think we'll get endless diddling with damage models for realism's sake, while the unnatural rule sets to try to solve time zones and port flipping lumbers on. For now, with the upcoming closing of the "send capped ships to outpost" trick this might be a good move.
  3. I think that's the idea - to situate shipyards in PVP areas so you don't have to sail ships to them. Materials can be sent risk free via deliveries.
  4. When I start a game, even a single player game, I expect to get the snot beat out of me by everything until I learn the ropes and level up a bit. Why should this game be any different?
  5. The fight after the PB is often times the only chance for the screening force to get any real combat. The way it is they are boned by the distribution of loot from a PB, now you want them to pass up a chance to get some money, experience and/or captured ships from the fight afterwards?
  6. You can trust your Uncle Grapeshot. Just give me the mats and don't worry you little heads when I sail off.
  7. There should also be special fleet missions where multiple ships must participate. For example, a treasure fleet mission where the starting and ending ports are advertised in the game so the treasure ship can be interdicted, necessitating an escort to stand a chance of getting through. If the treasure ship is successfully captured, then that group gets the reward upon reaching the destination (but maybe they'll be interdicted as well).
  8. Now, now, cut 'em some slack. They're too busy adding such vital features as food supplies to have time to repond to the pirate issue that has been raised again and again over the last several months. Now upon release something will happen? Whatever.
  9. I suppose you think you pronounce aluminum correctly as well.
  10. Wait ... are you trying to say you don't stay awake all night trying to figure out the workings of the Yank's, Don's and Lord Vacuous's politicking? I'm shocked, sir. Shocked.
  11. Uh ... no. If you are traveling long distances - like circumnavigating the caribbean which I've done - you frequently need to log off in free towns. Booting you back to your nearest OP would put an end to exploration.
  12. I told 'em not to trust Viscous. His wingnuttery was, and still is, glaringly obvious.
  13. As SORRY should have figured out - but were too strategically dense to realise - ports are not that important.
  14. Been what -- a week -- since he got this sooper dooper, double top secret contract. Wonder if the contractee is beginning to wonder what they payed for? Website bragging from the looks of it.
  15. Yup. I also remember his STARS group, while still alleging to be a US clan, stabbing us in the back several times by claiming he would defend a port and then never showing up to do it. I said good riddance to him the day he predictably turned pirate. I'm glad he and his toxic attitude are off poisoning somebody else.
  16. By your logic you are making zero sense. You say Spanish PvP on the Florida coast is fine, but get a case of the vapors when a US squadron does a raid of the Cuban coast and claim it justifies you attacking and trying to capture an American port. Betraying our treaty and aligning with the pirates in our hour of peril already showed us the depth of your perfidious nature. Trying to attack us when you thought we were down only clarifies the extent of your dishonor.
  17. Yea, that was a fun fight. Touch and go the entire time.
  18. I doubt he realizes how silly his endless bragging sounds.
  19. Don't you know that the Lord Blowhard is responsible in every win in every battle ever fought in NA. Don't believe me -- just ask him.
  20. Yes, it was a good fight Spaniards, both in the screen and in the port. Well done.
  21. Why is that blowhard Vicious even in this thread? Just to spew his usual risible BS?
  22. You allied yourselves with the pirates when they were attacking us and had driven us towards Charleston. You think we forgot that?
