  2. Wait... Trento is few years newer than Omaha, and more modern in design...
  3. Well, they added "improved damage model" and "Several improvements/fixes in weights/costs of ship assets", so i guess Player will be able to make better ships even if AI have better technology on their own ships. Or to put it simple: the game is more balanced now.

  5. Yes, if you have ship with smaller guns like 356mm and below, u can use Tube Powder to boost their penetration and Tube Powder have much better penetration than both TNT and also still gets extra damage.

Remember about costs and risks of using large torpedoes, for example your 610mm torpedoes can sink a Battleship with the best survivability designs you can get, including torpedo protection, but ships using large torpedoes can also have very limited design due to the weight and cost of using bigger torpedoes, and also there is a bigger risk of ammo detonation, especially if you installed a bigger magazine for them.Besides, it's hard to balance "bigger torpedoes" because there is a lack of information about their effectiveness in hitting bigger targets like Battleships or Aircraft Carriers.The biggest ship that was sunk due to usage of large torpedoes was USS Hornet, BUT she was already sinking due to coordinated and effective attacks of dive bombers and torpedo bombers (and they were using smaller 533mm torpedo), latter when she was abandoned by her crew, IJN warships that were closing in, fired a salvo of 610mm Long Lance torpedoes finally forcing her to sink in the ocean.

  11. Ships of Victory - Prove your Might. With my 13 attempt... i finally managed to do it! I won with this design by choosing Main Guns of Lower Caliber & QF, many number of secondaries guns and thick armor. Instead of trying to win at long range, i've told to myself "f**k it!" and decided to punch him with my Sword. And i did it. lol

And better balans, i think they found their middle point between Easy < > Hard, because in Alpha 3 you could easily win anny possible mission, currently i have problems completing some of the oldest missions that i have played and completed back in the Alpha 3/2/1, so we can assume that Alpha 5 will be quite interesting and very good update.
  13. If torpedo hit already flooded compartment, it would not increase flooding level, and according to your screenshoot, every your torp hit 3 rear compartments, while 4 forward ones are not flooded.

It would be nice if we could get ability to seal casemates placements. Also about building your own command tower... i don't think that is important, it would be nice but not exactly necessery, maybe when the game will starts heading out from Beta to Full version, then complicated things like that would be great addition to the game (yes, i'm saying this is complicated, because devs would need time to separate each important part of the command towers). You can extend/shorten hull by adjusting displacement... and this is correct, because the bigger ship, the bigger displacement will be and same the other way. "Hell, on the heavy cruiser hull, the super cool side turret rings I usually can't even effectively use because the only towers available for it get in the way of atleast one set of them" You propably mean Italian Heavy Cruiser hull/superstructure, and even if not, the best solution to this is changing gun caliber and also rating the turret. Example below, it works on every ship and superstructure. "Most ships I build also end up being a tad bit of an eyesore." True, very true.
  15. Currently most missions depends on pure luck, because AI is always creating new designes. Maybe in future AI will have only those designs created by Devs.
  16. No, underwater torpedo tube should not rotate on their own. EDIT: They are because most likely just as you said to simplify the code for Alpha Stage purpose or something like that.
