  1. well pulled of victory general! I basically take the same route as you, flanking their right flank. Only difference is you waited for all your troops to be ready for a full assault. This has an advantage, all the Union troops and reinforcements gather at one point for them to be surrounded and annihilated ( unlucky time ran out ). One disadvantage is that the Union with that amount of troops can be very dangerous in counter attack. You managed it well, and now have a lot of cash and reserves to bolster your ranks. Wish me luck on Gaines Mill
  2. Very nice victory mate, i mean it. Your hit and run tactic worked very well, you hit them very good at the river crossings there. It was a very good move to lure them towards the opposite side of the river. Excellent use of skirmishers to uphold the line and hit the enemy hard. Top Job!
  3. Lol yeah, i always use my General if the situation allows me to Will watch your video when uploaded mate, curious how you played the battle. Now on to Gaines Mill!
  4. Cross Keys, took a bit more losses than i expected but i have plenty of recruits left. Only issue is cash
  5. haha yeah, that was a mistake. Because of that i had to drag my army along the whole front and battle went on and on. Tbh i expected more casualties because some of my brigades really took a beating. Now on to the battle of Cross Keys, i really hate this battle because whatever i do i never get a good result.
  6. nicely executed battle mate, surrounded the enemy and ousted them from the wooded area. Too bad your unit that took the town got routed by skirmishers, other than that perfectly executed. Looking forward to the next battle and Gaines Mill. I have 2 cav brigades, one in my first corps and the other in the second. Perhaps it is nice to have one more.
  7. 1st Winchester, you can also see my army at the beginning of the video. Enjoy:
  8. i like to let the game flow, i sometimes use it though. In my next video Shiloh, you will see i use it one or twice because of the big map and multiple skirmishes all over the place. Here comes Shiloh!
  9. Thank you sir, it really shows how important it can be to use skirmishers to corner cavalry and routed enemies. Also watching Col Kelly's videos really helped me. Going to spend my points on guns as well then I use snipers to harass lines and disrupt communications, and most important i pick out lone artillery guns and generals
  10. Our losses are almost the same also. I invested heavy in politics and Army management at first, now i can shift to training and medicine. What is your opinion on buying guns for points? I saw you bought the MS1841 rifles at the beginning. I have bought some snipers now, i plan to invest in Fayettes also. Funny thing you say that, i had the same idea when watching your videos. You seem to observe the battlefield good and react to it. Looking forward to your battles commander!
  11. Potomac Fort video, unfortunately without sound... i forgot to change the sound from headset to speaker 😨 Anyway you can skip ahead and watch it in parts:
  12. So i have decided to start a new fresh campaign. I recorded my games, but need to upload them on YouTube. Until then here are the screenshots of the end battles! The Potomac Fort Newport News 1st Bull Run Stay Alert Shiloh!! Going towards Gaines Mill, need to fight the smaller battles first. I now have an army of 30.000 divided into 2 corps, got 2 cavalry units, 5 artillery and rest infantry. Spend points on Politics and Army Management. Videos will be posted soon, next up is 1st Winchester
  13. excellent mate! I like your videos so far. Because of you i started a new Legendary CSA campaign I completed Shiloh as we speak. I did record my games so far but without my mic, so game sound only.
  14. Welcome mate, glad you enjoy the game. I too started a while ago with a CSA campaign and had around the same number of troops at 2nd Bull. The key is not to attack but deploy your entire force in the wooded area and let the Union attack you. And don't deploy men to the small skirmish prior to the 2nd Bull battle. If you manage to hold the victory point and the wooded area you are able to win. I must say i had some issues because my army was just way too small, i could not get it to a adequate number so i was defeated at Antietam and gave up and restarted. You should check out the videos of Lava and Col. Kelly, i learned a lot from those two.
  15. congrats man, i like how you steadily built your army towards Richmond. Learned many valuable lessons from your videos. And now? On to a Legendary CSA Campaign?
  16. please please please let it be Crimean war not many games involving the Ottoman Empire..
  17. First Bull Run and Shiloh are very high on casualties, you can accomplish both battles with far less losses. Check out Col Kelly's YouTube video's.
  18. i tried very hard to accomplish this on Major General, i can't even imagine how Legendary will be...
  19. want to know more about it please tell. I had the same issue on Major General and just had not enough men to fight the Union at Washington. Had to replay some earlier battles.
  20. Going to give this a try on my CSA Legendary campaign. At the last battle before Stone River atm.
