  1. I'm not a big fan of chicken. I'd settle for a good hunk of medium ribeye though!
  2. The fallacies about supply is possibly based on an inaccurate knowledge of period regulations. And since some of the members here are triggered, when it comes to seeing actual historical information posted, I won't go into great detail, other than to state, regulations specified that quartermaster wagons for ammo be issued at the regimental level, and increases in number going up the organization. I would state, I'd like to see at least one wagon per division.
  3. Okay I found the "offending" thread! This link will take you to the thread, and it will be the first post.\ (Sorry for the double post.)
  4. Again, @Andre Bolkonsky, I do not recall anyone claiming they routed their wagons, but again, I seem to recall someone saying IF there was a supply depot on the map, (in this case that small battle before Shiloh in the confederate campaign, and Fredericksburg,) it was stated that the wagons can be sent to the depot to be refilled then returned to the troops. I cannot say that's the case however, as I haven't tired it.
  5. Sorry, but some of us don't live in our mother's basements and spend countless hours playing games.
  6. I have yet to see that happen. And I rout all my empty wagons. Plus I think this is a reference to battles that show supply depots on the battle map.
  7. True A. P. Hill was involved in the incident as well taking a grazing shot across his shin bone which incapacitated him for immediate follow up, which is why J.E.B. Stuart had to command the following days actions.
  8. Today, May 2nd 2017, marks the 153rd anniversary of the beginning of the end of the Army of Northern Virginia. Tonight around dusk, (1800 hours EST,) Lt. Gen'l Thomas Johnathan "Stonewall" Jackson was shot by his own men while returning from a personal recon of the Union retreat at Chancellorsville VA 1863.
  9. Seriously? We have to do this again?
  10. Thank you! But you give me far too much credence.
  11. During the battle of Trevilian Station, after Custer captures Wade Hampton's wagon train and artillery train, The officer responsible for the wagons asked Custer if he could take his prize to the rear. The distracted Boy General said, "Yes, by all means." Relieved, the officer left to lead the wagons to safety. As he rode off, one member of the 7th Michigan heard Custer inquire, "Where in hell is the rear?"
  12. Congrats Sir!, on making another year!
  13. It may well be that in "simplifying" some code the earthwork/trench/wall/fortifications are viewed from only one direction despite the quadrant of the attack? If that's the case lowering buff affects the position from all 4 sides equally. Perhaps what needs done is dividing the position into quadrants, with lessening degrees of protecting buffs. Just my opinion.
  14. Don't bother with the sauna ... I'm a big boy ... I can take a bit of harsh language from a forum member. And yeah Cruz is easier to punch into a phone keyboard that Cruise.
  15. Perhaps I misunderstood your post regarding Cruz??? (The comment about opinions ... "Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.)
  16. It might do something should it have been a button, but it isn't. it's part of the user interface after you select a unit on the field.
  17. Actually, no. See my previous post with link. Also, the emancipation proclamation banned slavery ONLY in the states in the rebellion, it did not address it where it existed in loyal union states.
  18. Don't have time for a proper response, (at work, on my phone,) but HERE is a quick read regarding President Lincoln's plans.
  19. Grumpy? Just set in my ways. Not to mention, my employer uses the Cloud and invariably it fails, and fails frequently. We have our engineering software on a cloud server and when that server goes dark the whole international corporation is out of work till someone can get ahold of a "tech" at the cloud server house and wake them up and get them off their lazy ass to go find the box and give it a kick. I would hate for you to be trying to start a game from a save to the cloud and heaven forbid the server was killed via a recent electrical failure and no one at the cloud server site was around to turn it on for 8 hours. Use a thumb drive, or an external USB storage drive. They make the thumbs in massive gigabyte size now, and external drives which are portable come in terabyte or better sizes.
  20. Sorry. Cruz ruins everything he touches. But, you know what they say about opinions ...
  21. According to many here, "depleting the AI" will not make the game any fun, nor will is sustain any interest.
  22. Use a thumb drive. Stay the hell off the cloud. (MHO.)
  23. All Brigades, (or any composition of units,) all behave different at different times. Any read of a Stonewall Jackson Biography or an A.P. Hill biography will highlight the several times that the "famed" stonewall brigade, (which wasn't officially named such until late 1863 by an act of the confederate congress,) broke and headed to the rear, only to be saved by a brigade from A.P. Hill's Light Division who were part of Jackson's wing of the army at the time.
