  1. The British Council supports the proposed draft of this truce but freezes a formal implemantion until the issue of formal Dutch representation has been resolved. Our strong alliance with the Dutch Nation and our good relations with the American and the Swedish Nations shall be reflected in our treaties.
  2. As usual incorrect with respect to both the presentation to the British Council and the approval procedure within the British Council.
  3. The truce has been presented as a deal between three nations represent by their respective councils. Obviously this new development requires some more discussion/attention.
  4. Just a reminder; The British unilateral proclamation last week is a testament this Thank you for your appreciation for our noble initiative!
  5. Right, no more 'birthright' claims... excellent!
  6. Bold as usual; excellent skills. Hope to meet you guys next time in force.
  7. In the end the clans decide. They are the ones doing the portbattles/claiming territory. What I would like to see is a better way to convey a nations policy to all players - in game. As far as I know this will be adressed in the new patch or the next one after that..
  8. Gentlemen, Again, we stress the British nation did not demanded anything from the Spanish nation. There may have been loose exchanges of ideas but no bilateral treaties have been made. The unilaterally proclaimed bufferzone has been set to demonstrate good intentions by the British nation and to support and participate in a 'Gentlemens' war. As was announced; Inside the bufferzone the British nation will do all to defend it's territory. Outside the 'bufferzone', the British nation does not make territorial claims, will avoid the use of porttimers, seeks action in open world PvP/RvR and shows restraint to severely weakend enemy nations. Best regards, Gooneybird
  9. Dear Sir, To make it clear again; we have not offered anything; We made a unilateral decision. But regardless... yours and similar comments by your fellow faction members in here do indeed entertain us. The sheer drama you continue to spout, matches the quality of the theatrical duet 'El Gato Montes' performed by Placido Domingo and Montserat Caballe. Best regards, Gooneybird
  10. Our unilateral decleration should be comforting sir.
  11. We initiated contact with the Spanish with a simple invite and question: give your view on the issue of the Spanish-Anglo war and come with ideas we could consider. Our invite was met by an unrealist demand of 30 ports (which they do not own, nor do we). Obviously the British council rejected this unreal and chaotic idea. Instead we decided to unilaterally proclaim a Gentlemens war. No bilateral treaties, peace and/or discussions have been involved in this decision. We thank the Spanish for a good fight over the last weeks and hope to continue our future biffs without terriorial claims in western Cuba. Best regards, Gooneybird
  12. The post factually is in contravention with most if not all (harmonized) European privacy laws. I kindly ask the moderation team to remove the link immediately to prevent possible juridical consquences.
  13. Does this imply your council stepped down? We are looking forward to your excellent French build ships. Please build them with the appropriate materials and in a useful trim.
  14. Yesterday a council meeting took place in which the greater majority of cooperative clans agreed to limit new offensive action outside a virtual bufferzone stretching from: Yucatan ā†’ Quintana Roo/Belize ā†’ Honduras/Nigaragua ā†’ Panama ā†’ Western Haiti (not the Dominican mainland) ā†’ South Eastern Cuba ā†’ The Cayman Islands ā†’ Yucatan. (https://gyazo.com/6506c466b767616cb1e9a265f7d100f8) Limited offensive action includes PvP/RvR in open world; screening actions; port battle without timer settings. Inside the described bufferzone the British Nation will continue to counter all enemy action in a vigorous, persistent and relentless manner. This decision is unitlateral and does not involve any treaties. It is based on common sense, realising the game needs more players, including opponents, rather then less. On behalf of the British Council, Sincerely, Gooneybird
  15. Pssst... Brits using the 'Holiday Exploit' .....
  16. Dear sir, From what I've heard the British nation might have made wrong decions in the past. As stated; We learned a valuable lesson. Both unfortunately and understable, you chose to revenge these former decisions by starting your offensive campaign.. It's OK we don't whine about it, we just fight back. We can tell you that a so-called safezone is part of an ongoing discussion within the British Council. Having that said I can safely say that you haven't got the faintest idea about what we decided, nor do you know at this point what we will decide. You are welcome to discuss it with us but you need to do it tonight. We'll be present in your TS. Ignore us and you have no say in it. Talk to us and we can exchange ideas. Sincerely Gooneybird
  17. The opening thread includes false claims; The Brits have a friendly relationship with the Swedes yet there is no formal alliance. Although supportive as a screening fleet on a couple of occassions, the Swedish nation honorably rejected a request to attack Spanish ports. The Brits have since, respected the Swedish position and not requested Sweden to battle the Spanish territories. The same friendly relationship exists with the US nation. At this point there is no formal defensive or offensive alliance with the US, we just happen to like eachother and happen to have the same enemies. Sofar no formal coordinated action has taken place but obviously your post may change this. We do have a strong formal alliance with the Verenigde Provincien nation in which we support eachother both political and economical where ever required. An attack on the VP is considered an attack on Britain. The Brits respect the treaty between nations and have no intention to interfere. Lets not forget who started the campaign to drive British players away from the game. Different from the Spanish point of view, the Brits do not aim to crush nations, we learned a valuable lesson. There is no point in humiliating a nation and subsequently demotivating players from this game. We like to refer to that principle as common sense. We continue to protect our waters from enemy ships and to counter territorial threats. We will do so in a resilient, vigorous and persistent manner. If you want to know what we consider a territorial threat you have the choice to discuss it with us or to find out the hard way.
  18. Just the paradox of the thread title is a red flag... At least it made a couple of things clear: The Brits are no longer interested in the repetitve compliants of French/Spanish players and can now focus on playing a game. The French and Spaniards have preperared yet another reiteration of the same complaints which have been repeatedly rejected. The EU server PvP is not a Spanish/French/Danish server. It's actually open to all users regardless of geographic location. The Spaniards consider every British action an exploit, up to a point in which being British is enough to be labelled an exploit. The new patch won't solve anything with regards to French/Spanish exploit complaints.
  19. Hello Tenakha, As we now all know; you were unable to resolve anything with the former British council, you are going to be unable to resolve it with this one and it is doubtful you will resolve anything with any future representation. In fact, the disgusting post.below, posted in the French forum today, is what we believe to be a reflectiion of the state of mind of French diplomacy. As mentioned we suspended our initiatives. Sincerely, Gooneybird.
  20. Hello Tenakha, The above is clearly a feint move to avoid answering for your rejection to resolve what you believe is an issue with the game mechanics. Thanks to you, the French nation lost a moral right to complain about anything the Brits do or don't. So gibber on in here... we really couldn't care less anymore.
  21. To be clear, we invited the French council to discuss their issues, starting with mutual understanding. Our invites have been consistently met with demands, lack of (constructive) response and multiple slanderous posts by French representatives. We reached out, but without success. As of yesterday, the British nation has drawn conclusions and suspended British initiatives to seek Anglo-French common ground on the issue of game mechanics. Best regards, Gooneybird.
  22. Regardless of any argument... If you so much want your PvP/RvR, go seek your enemies instead of complaining about empty ports.
  23. Tho whole porttimer discussion is a joke really - one could argue that by setting all porttimers between 18:00 and 22:00 one refuses non-european timezone players to cap ports. So lets use the timer mechanic as is instead of casting egocentric hypocritic nonsense to eachother. Afterall this game is global thus serving also non-european players.
  24. The nature of playing games results in content winners and discontent whiners. The nature of people is complicating things with opinions and accusations. The resolution: accept your defeat and stop telling others what the rules are, is my personal view. But then we wouldn't have the toxic slander in here, would we....
  25. We completely underestimated you guys - won't make the same mistake twice
