  1. Snoopy I don't think I ever mentioned anybody being banned just kicked of the Nation. Also have re-read my note and can't find "still no proof of alt" and "witch hunt". Sorry you find it the worst proposal ever. Do you have a better suggestion or is the game mechanic all ok and functioning well as it is...? thank you for the reply and much appreciated. Norfolk.
  2. The Nation Head System Idea to OFFSET ALT activates Not sure if this is the right forum. If not my apologies, Dev's please move to the correct ones The ALTs although I don't object too and don't use, seems to have gone a bit OTT in their activities. The ALT is a much needed part of NA and gives a deeper layer on intrigue. The well trained ALT listening in adds drama. Sabotage to PBs and Hostility pops is a questionable area but still could work if the game had a realistic OFFSET. At the moment we don't have that and in the current state of gameplay it will turn bad for the game. The problem is punishment. What do you do when a SPY is caught? At the moment apart from name and shame absolutely nothing. If we are going to allow spies, there needs to be a risk element involved. Things like the forum Tribunal is a waste of every bodies time including the Dev's. And to be fair this is more gameplay rather than a Cheat like the Double Ship & Mod fiasco just exposed. Sportsmanship is not a game requirement remember. However, a solution may arise if each Nation had a PC Figure Head (Pirate might be tricky here). He the representative of his Nation can directly meta out punishment. The coding would I believe not too complicated. It would setup exactly like a clan system. A Clan of Clans plus solo members .He would be in effect the Nation "Creator" and can kick out a member. The suspect suddenly finds himself having to pick a new nation and start over. Now whether you agree or disagree with the Figure Head it doesn't matter. If the victim is wrongly accused, well that’s never happened before in real life as it? The NH system cuts out traffic. Obviously RL game abuses like racism, bullying and DDOS is Games-Labs arena and should go without saying. How to Pick the Nation Head, or how long should he remain in power could prove interesting if not controversial. I think a set time limit but how is open for debate. The result is a counter that is real to the ALTs however if over abused by the Nation leader he will receive internal pressures… Despots maybe need an offset also… Just a thought Norfolk nChance Ps also here there is room to flesh out your spy. Imagine a perk that will allow you to see Ship locations or movements from the last server reset. Example say a SPY looking at GB might see all port entry and exits of every GB ship. Or other ideas could make this a real PC character worth having…
  3. Hi Pitxagorri, sorry I can't understand your problem/issue. Could you expand please. Guessing here, this is what you mean. If wrong apologies.... One thing to remember for the survival crew to "grow" inside the survival box [8] you must have crew available. If you fight with oneside closed off at a time [F5] this helps as the residual crew will start to populate the [9] box or boarding. This is where survival will take crew from first in that instance... Your case above even after fire shock Survival wouldn't be filled. Norfolk
  4. Pitxagorri, I'm not very good at NA, but one talent I seem to excel at is blowing my own ships up.. 8th L'O to date. Just Looking at your pic I can see a few pointers... 1. Top Left of Screen. "Fire Shock". Means crew are in shock stasis and won't move for some time. 2. You have all Crew Management Lit... 5,6,7,8 but not 9 [Boarding]. Your crew is fully occupied sailing the ship (202 crew), then making sure your guns are loaded (894) and then will attend to survival. Unless in FIRE SHOCK then all jobs are frozen, you can't steer etc. 3. You have every Gun deck also manned. Use [F5] to isolate or stop manning. So Crew wanting Gun attention from your instructions is 1015, you've already got 894. Sailing you instructed as 230 with 202 working. Apart from shock you have no crew to allocate to SURVIVAL. Try this next time... Fire starts. 1. Turn off gunnery [7], then each side turn off all gun decks using [F5] 2. Check are you in FIRE SHOCK? If yes steering and other functions are frozen. Don't panic. 3. Turn off Sails [6] 4. For a mod carry the Charismatic Bosan he helps crew move faster. 5. press [5] and then [3] immediate repairs. Not [1] or [2] 6. After fire shock. sails on and get away from area ASAP. Then look to repair sails if heavily damaged [5] then [2]. Using guns at this point will have little to no effect and will propbably re-start the fire... Unfortunately I don't believe this is a bug.... regards Noroflk nChance

  7. PvP(2) US ELITE recruitment We need a total of six players, 2 for US time zone, 4 for EU time zone. If you think you want to test your abilities and push yourself harder and further than ever thought possible please contact my Senior Officer Drufus Kent on any of the three servers. Working in a team goes without saying, but many of the missions you'll be asked to do will be behind enemy lines information gathering and without ALTs. We PvP usually with numbers stacked against… ELITE is not for most people and will never be large clan, but just a small cult.   8. Farrago, The History lesson provided here on PvP(2) is rich, deep and very interesting. Things are not quite as they were but in the flux of change. I've no claim to any historical events or sometimes prejudices that might have occured and become a legacy. New to PvP(2) I want people to play in my sandbox in my world and how I want them to play... Maybe my little cult, clan can make some history worth talking about in the future.   12. It was a well fought battle and down to the wire. I was expecting well built heavy ships to face, but just look at that hardware in Tuetonic's Battle Report Post. The hulls were like Steel and it seemed like every CCCP Captain had turned out... This both sides knew it would be a real fight and it showed with Sweedish Cheese[SS] and Herring Latte[SS] screening early and pressing the ELITE main body coming down from K/PR. ChaiLing[CCCP] chasing and screening well on the peninsular where my scouts lay and our artillery was coming in from. They pulled out all the stops. The wind was SW going NE on the trip down so I wanted a far left side start. I instructed the main force to drive hard against the wind and into the cost line. Wind was with CCCP which I wanted. They took the bait and drove right for the body. As time press wind I knew would continue round, CCCP would be left stranded too far left to recover in there well built floating tanks. Now receiving incoming motar fire. The lads also taking out towers The wind took an age to turn, it was the right idea, but time favored the defender. Flipper took the line straight down into the corner of the coast bringing three with him he already knew he was dead but they weren't going anywhere either. The CKA boys split the main body and tried to pin them to the mid coast line wall.. No excuses here we needed more heavier ships and a few more people. As time progressed the losses took their toll as the superior ships and personal got the upper hand. From my view point in the left circle it was one hell of a fight seriously. It was a mess and the strategy nearly worked. The defenders were caught out of place and we just ran out of time. We lost, but by the shouting and singing of the team you wouldn't of thought it. Looks like the GB sleeping giant is waking up. The Danes and her allies defended the port in style. They too shouting, singing and laughing at what was a great spectacle. It was obvious both sides wanted this fight and threw everything but the kitchen sink at each other... Well done the Danes and her allies. Norfolk nChance.
  13. Battle Report or proof of sink. Good Fight, Pelennor got the Kill, and Koltes the assist. Both worked well together closing the distance down quickly and then swaping in and out to pull me a way. I tried chaining the sails but in hindsight in a Connie I should have slowed down, balanced the boat and try to demast Koltes first... live and learn

  16. JobaSet, http://navalports.mdb-dev.es/ Look at this. Its broken but might give you a API thread or idea... Originally you could map volume in/out across all ports... and you could automate the prize giving Logistic _ Use La Nav Central for all in/out. Start to narrow prizes and donations... you only except 5m donations and prizes out in multiples of 5m Careful... this could turn into a time sink hole. The Camel Toe products are the bread and butter... JobaKills is the icing on the cake so maybe condense it to just Two weeks every other month... then market the craap out of it off to bed... cheers Norf

  21. Kiithnaras, Your idea shows very good intentions but in my opinion would grind the game to an alt(pardon the pun...). I assume you mean by spy this is a PCs ALT..? if I'm wrong apologies. But the ALT/SPY is a much needed part of the game. The RL issues were most spies actually weren't intentionally spies to start with. Just some bad decision and miss guided influences to start the ball rolling.... Anyone seen a new player give the game away in PB or Gank or talking in Nation/Global...? Loose Lips Sink Ships... The well trained ALT however is a much more dangerous animal. Someone who sits in the background listening it adds drama. The ALT that sabotages PBs or Hostility or any other "Game Mechanic" then this does need addressing. The problem I agree, wouldn't want to ban the player but what punishment would you deal out? In Nation its impossible at the moment... However a solution may arise if the Nation had a PC Figure Head (Pirate might be tricky here). He the head can directly meta out punishment. The coding is simple I think JobaSet might have a better understanding than me. The Nation take GB for instance as 5 clans and a Nation Head(NH). Like in a clan the "Creator" can kick out a member. This would work in the same way. You follow my drift, its just an overall clan of the clans and solo nation members...? The suspect suddenly finds himself having to pick a new nation and start over... Now whether you agree or disagree with the NH, I or the Dev's or anybody else doesn't have a say. If the victim is wrongly acquiesced, well NA is getting closer to RL? The NH system cuts out traffic. Obviously RL game abuses like racism and bullying and D-DOS is Game-Labs arena and should go without saying. How would a Nation pick a head ?   22. Hi All, Not sure if its in the right thread, so if not Dev's please move it or let me know. Was back in the UK last couple of weeks back home in Leeds West Yorkshire. Had some time on my hands thought I'd visit the Leeds Armouries. It was a brilliant day out. Completely free as well (proving I'm still a Yorkshireman). References https://royalarmouries.org/leeds Not much for the Age of Sail enthusiast but more British Military History through the ages. It was built in the 90s after the Tower of London had most of its captured relicts just sat in storage with no room to show it off. They do lectures and events see website(includes AOS). On the ground floor at the far end you'll find captured French Cannons and Carronades... There a lot bigger seeing them in real life, I can't imagine how some of NAs vessel remained afloat. Getting there, Leeds Central Railway station, just ask for directions to the FREE Water Taxis. Only one and it takes 10 minutes taking you there directly. Give the wife your Credit Card, and tell her you'll meet at the end of the day. The shopping is much improved from my day also... Its a shameless Plug... But I was so surprised and really enjoyed my time I thought I'd share it regards Norfolk nChance.
