This actually a train of thought that shows promise! Idea to add: Choose a regional trim in regional capital to build the ships with once your clan has a region complete. All regional trims are available in all regions so certain regions don't become inflated with value.

This exactly. DD is saving us from a skill-less gear based clickfest.

Add ping and a shitty minigame to that and the shit sandwich that is boarding is complete.

Then nerf boarding books as well. With nerfed DD they would be win-buttons.

I also want to bet that all asking for DD nerf have the book of 5 rings already... Stop making people play your way and let others play their way! Boarding meta is boring and requires no skill.

This is how I see it. my issue is that DD is currently the ony defense against all boarding meta to come back. The boarding in the game at this time is mostly gear based. Book of 5 rings + marines = ez win much skill. And let's not get started about ping and last millisecond clicking. Because that is just retareded.

Then same should go for DD. You shouldn't be able to gankboard another ship if the captain has the skill to see and counter your boarding action.

I like the 30% mark. If I choose to invest officer points in it(!!!), it should give a decent bonus. Maybe tweak it down to 25%, but any lower would make it too expensive in points. Don't force the boarding meta, it favours gear over skill and should be difficult to engage.

Having done a mix of things as a moderator/serverhead in a previous game (NavyField Europe) I suggest the following: - Representative per nation - Good language skills (speak english plus dominant language of that nation) - Weekly community meetings with the representative and leaders of clans in his/her nation: Discuss issues/bugs/ideas. - Weekly reports to the devs on status of game, bugs found, attitude of players to the game, feedback/ideas etc. - Elected by the nation on the forum, using in-game names to vote. - Player has to be experienced, lots of game time and knowledge of the workings of the game.
