  1. One thing the French have in common is we all want to PvP... Purge and LMN are the heart and soul of France and OMG their privateers.
  2. You actually got your facts wrong. 1. We wanted to stay and fight at mort. 2. We went east to speed up the port capping to drag the rats back to mort. 3. They refused to return to mort to pvp. 4. We rerolled French and made them pvp. 5. The shit pirates rerolled Brits and are now your friends. 6. The others remained pirate 7. No 1 cares.

  10. Exactly Privateers would send to admiralty and have to request permission to take hold of the ship. Meaning No you wouldn't be able to just capture there would be a ranking and earning process. If They nerf pirates for "Realism" They better do the exact same thing to nats. Also Privs didn't sail 1st and 2nd and pretty sure third rates. So, that realism would be on par with nerfing pirates ability to sail them.
  11. Simple solution to population is making things cost more if you have X% of population port battles, ships, production, etc is X% cost increased. Things will even out much faster
  12. Stopped reading here. Battles can and should be able to be resolved before the port battle even starts.
  13. I'm all for map tracking as long as it's only on the pve server.. Otherwise No.. You don't get a little marker irl to show where you are.. Oh, wait nm you do now days. Forgot people need their hand held when doing anything now. Adding an option to have it enabled and disabled isn't viable for pvp servers b/c then the only option is to have it enabled. It's one or nothing the game either sticks to its hardcore roots or doesn't.
  14. sail damage gives very little exp same with killing crew from what I've noticed. You want exp you pretty much broadside armor down to 0%.
  15. They said everything will be wiped expect your Rank (exp). They also said that if they increase the amount of exp it takes to get to a specific rank Ie you've farmed a grand total of 100,000 exp over your career but now you need 200,000 exp to be at the rank you were you will not be granted the rank just the exp. So, if rank 10 required 100,000 exp in total and now needs 200,000 in total to get to rank 10 you might be rank 8 or w/e after the wipe. At least that's how I read it.

So, I know a lot of people including myself get annoyed with the randomness of mission locations especially when you're in areas where it can spawn on the other side of the island making the trip a 30-40min sail to get to it. Now, not all missions are like this and I don't mind sailing to the ones that take a good 5-10mins to get to. In most cases those allow me to get work done around the house. But here is a suggestion. How about we get missions closer to ports and typically within a 80 degree to 120 degree arc directly out the front of the port dock to prevent in most cases those annoying missions spawning on the other side of the island. Or adding on to the 80-120 degree arc have missions spawn even closer and in the actual battle increase the distance from player to NPCs significantly to add to duration of the battle which gives people the illusion that the missions are closer to port. All in all the missions currently as they are distance wise is typically not that big of an issue for me. It's the randomness of the locations that cause problems especially near islands. I would persoanlly like to see some kind of twinking to mission locations in relation to the port they are taken from.
  17. How about letting the devs create their game. Listening to the nerf crying player base is what ruined POTBS and ultimately destroyed the games population. I trust the devs own personal judgement over any of you.
