I used to sink Surprises, Bell Poules, Frigates, etc in my Basic Cutter. Those fights lasted most of the time the full 1hr 30 min battle timer. Often, It would span over 2 battles. I had one guy go the full timer and escape just to be caught again at open sea and sunk 50mins into the 2nd battle. I've nearly came close to soloing a connie in my pickle before the battle timer ended who tagged me. I don't see this as griefing even if he tagged you to keep you in combat. I've tackled boats before with the sole purpose of keeping them in combat for the entire 1 hr 30mins to prevent them from aiding in other battles. You have two options be the rabbit or be the White Rabbit.

They do bring up very good points. The game design for pirate is flawed and I do not believe green on green should even be considered for cases like this. You join a clan to fight as a clan and play as a clan and the game prevents pirates from doing that. No punishment should ever be given to a player for defending a clan member. Otherwise, what is the reason for having clan. Fixing pirate on pirate should be a top priority it ruins the game for pirate clans.

Sorry, but buying a flag from the nation a character is on and not using it isn't an exploit. It's something everyone can do. A very dick move but it's not an exploit. The word gets tossed around like candy people don't even understand what it means anymore. What would be an exploit is if he someone found a way to bypass the game mechanics and purchase the flag for free. Deleting ones character and switching nations is something we all can do freely. What this is defined as is more of a "Dick Move" Category. I don't find the offense to warrant a ban nor do I think it warrants punishment. If anything a dev "Open Response" on what is acceptable behavior on the subject as well as an issued warning. Also multiple accounts isn't against the rules either. I've seen dev response on the matter elsewhere but I'm not digging through threads for you, you can do that on your own.

You sir, have apparently never worked a day in a legal field. Right or wrong, It was a mechanic that is questionable I agree. However, it's not an exploit nor is it against the rules for a player to buy a flag on a nation he has a character on. (Even if he doesn't use it) At most it's a dick move and needs to be addressed. That my good friend is a fact. That's like saying a Nation cannot buy 2 flags at once to confuse the enemy faction to choose which port they're actually going to hit. While yes, it's a completely different tactic than the one we have here but it still means 1 of those capture windows are used up for the day.

It's a bug and it's exploitable and easy to reproduce I'll be doing a write up / video probably for Admin later on to explain. Bug can potentially crash players in battle during pvp and could potentially leave ships extremely vulnerable.

In theory, He didn't do anything wrong other than being a troll. There are a few ways we can go about this. 1. If the account is a purchased account rather than a "Family Share" (Pre patch) then as a paid player he has a right to do this no matter how dick of a move it is until you as the developer come out and say actions like this are not tolerable. 1b. If the account is Family Share then technically it's an illegal character that should not have been in game which warrants punishment. (find the main) Considering this is an action that requires Gold a complete and warranted action would be to fine him. Now likely, if he's smart he would trade all his gold/assets away after seeing your punishment thread. (you may be able to track it) Your best action would be to fine him negative currency that he would have to farm back in game so if he has 0 gold he logs in and sees - negative 300,000 or what ever the flags cost was. That way if he traded it away it will just deduct it when he trades it back. Or, just contact him and tell him this is whats going to happen etc. 2. Since there are no disclosed rules for this game on topics like this there really isn't much you can honestly do to him other than options above without creating a fire. Yeah, it happened and yeah, people are mad but it's in the game and it happened. You as developers allowed it to via mechanics and this is an Early Access game and I'm sure issues like this will not be the last of it. We have wipes ahead and ultimately this really wont have an effect on the game after that point. However, you will need to come out and speak out on this that intentionally trolling a nation by buying a flag in their faction to prevent them from attacking ports is an abuse of in game mechanics and those who violate this condition will be punished. You're going to need some type of Terms of Service via login like most MMOS which no1 reads but it allows you to go back and justify punishment when violations are clear and any time there is change to the TOS it re-prompts for users to read. Since patch this keeps happening to me nearly every battle. battle ends and I'm unable to leave battle then in about 30-45 seconds later I get a message that pops up (Battle Over Connection Lost) Upon re-entry into the game I'm awarded with often no exp and cash. Once I got rewarded 18000 gold and 200 exp for a large 3rd rate fleet which doesn't even come close to what I should have made in the fight or similar battles with the same fleet size. So, pretty much unplayable atm.

Yeah, people needed a warning for this. I agree. But in future updates with these kind of changes... It really should be reserved for Map Resets.

In my honest opinon CDR being Free made more sense to me. if theres a problem with the Plymouth and CDR free ports being to close it makes more sense to make Plymouth neutral. CDR being neutral is a huge advantage for the french nation and this is coming from a frenchie.

I'd highly recommend in future updates you don't do shit like that again except on map resets. Or you'll end up pissing a lot of people off. Map changes should only be made on Map resets.
