  1. Id like to introduce [N] (Napoleonics). While we got our start from the NTW3 community mod by the Lordz we will be represented in Naval Action.

  4. I would love if lost masts/ships on fire were a rare spectacle. Maybe 1 in every 5 battles or so.
  5. Darksaga-the devs had to make some hard choices for performance reasons. How much smoke, how much crew all to keep the game performance optimized graphically.
  6. Im not quite sure what were gonna do. Sloop thinks we will have enough people to have our own clan, I thought we'd run with you guys. I can tell you we probably will just be pubs so hopefully (if thats the case) you wont mind us tagging along.

  8. I think I asked this beforehand but not sure if it was ever answered, will there be any replay function? I would venture a guess of "not in the immediate future but possible eventually".

  11. Couldnt understand why they would make a single player sailing ships game. Maybe they figured they couldnt compete with Naval Action. Anyways...if smoke is a client side feature, couldnt it be modded for those that would want it?

    I am in awe!

    Welcome! Nice to see another face in what is probably a small niche of the gaming community. Most people dont want to sail boats, they would rather run around and shoot people (cod). Lucky for us that the NA developers developed a game for our likings.
  14. I agree with Maturin here. If a ship loses all of its morale, it would strike. If your ship strikes, you lose all control of it and it just becomes a floating hulk. It would be the same as if it had sunk except it hadnt.
  15. I was just thinking about this yesterday. In the current build, the ship that is downwind has an advatage in range while the captain holding the weather gage is at a disadvantage. Good post Poyraz.
  16. I need to take some remedial math classes before I can comment here. I understand the concept Poyraz has illustrated and it makes perfect sense. I do think (physically) that sailing mechanisms (turning) needs some fine tuning.

  19. Nick, whats your general business plan for the game? Are you going to release new maps as dlc? Are you going to provide tools for modders? I fully understand that primarily you are trying to make money, I have no problem with that (provided you produce a great product). Will you be branching off into different eras? Will you do this before you provide us with all the major acw battles? Just curious.

  21. I love it: Great concept, love the map and units, love the sounds, love the movement arrows. I hate it: If I wanted to play whack a mole clickfest, im sure I could have found it at the app store. The game moves too fast which is probably great for fps type gamers BUT THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY GAMES LIKE THIS ARE LOOKING FOR A WARGAME! You have to have an option for slower game speed. I dont care if the game takes me longer for each scenario. Why do my units keep farting around moving to and fro? I told the iron brigade to move to this spot, why do they keep playing leap frog with each other? Can you give us some kind of guard mode and maybe a skirmish mode. Sorry if I sound like a dic# Just wanted to give my 2 cents. I do like the game and appreciate your endeavor
  22. Everything looks and sounds great. I only have a couple concerns; 1)The battle looks too fluid. Constant moving, units firing while moving, etc.. 2)Im assuming there is no friendly fire casualties, I would suggest changing that. Other than those 2 opinions, I think it looks awesome.
