  1. 1) Do you plan to bring back ways to get more even PvP's instead of mostly ganks? I think what made NA so unique was the epic fights that could go either way along with the one of a kind combat mechanics. It's kind of a shame to see this game be mostly ganks with such an awesome combat system. It has been very hard to find similar BR fights since the hostility system was brought in. 2) Are you going to bring back demasting? I Think the old combat system was much better, everything was balanced nicely. Demasting, Raking, Chainshot & Hullshooting were all options in a fight. You rarely seen demasting used, it was for the more skilled players. I don't see why it was changed.
  2. Hey, PvP events are great. I guess it's more incentive to gank, right? All that's left in this game is Ganking, massive AI fleets & forts ruining PvP and to add extra on top of that some great PVE / Gank events. Like can you atleast make these PvP events switch up a bit. Maybe 2v2s, 3v3s, 4v4s, 5v5s each time they spawn. Give us something other than big clans going around ganking the piss out of solo players and smaller clans/groups.. You wonder why so few are online lately and the numbers are so low it is just like before EA. Maybe, just maybe smaller clan/groups and solo players got sick of the ganking? Now who do the gankers have to fight? I guess their alts to get points. Since flags were taken out, all we have is Ganks. And well I guess that shows in the numbers online, you barely see over 450 and in the nights under 80. You want all lopsided fights that aren't fun for the side getting ganked (smaller clans/groups, solo players), I guess this is what you get. A game that bleeds numbers each and every day. The proof is in the pudding, keep rewarding gankers & adding more AI and the game will keep losing players. It's time you do something about this. Events are for big clans & people who have all day. Maybe you could give us some other ways to get paint other than being a ganker & spending all day PVEing? Maybe PVP Currency for each PvP you do and have a shop where you can buy paints? I Must say it's kind of worrying to see the number of people online and how the last patch did nothing to address the massive amounts of AI & Forts.
  3. Crafting XP and character level will stay as is. Final wipe will be a Asset wipe. Gold, ships, modules, warehouses, resources and such.
  4. I must say I think crafting is a bit too hard now to get exceptional quaility. For the PvP servers I would like to see more reward for PvP less for crafting and PVEing. One thing that I will miss is the even play field for people who don't have the time to craft, it takes away from skill. The way it is now is people who have the time to craft exceptional ships will always have the advantage over the casual players. It's kind of sad to see that. I Know we want exceptional ships to be super hard to craft but at the same time it's killing the equal playing field for those who don't have hours and hours to spare for crafting and trading. Would be nice to see you get rewards from actually going out and PvPing that can go towards getting better quality ships, rather than this boring and very time consuming crafting.
  5. 1) Player AI Fleets on a PvP Server. If we wanted PVE we would go the PVE server. Make the PvP Server great again! 2) The amount of NPC fleets on the open world and the size of them, too big. 3) Player AI Fleets & Open world NPC fleets are killing solo play.
  6. Was hoping all paint schemes wouldn't be rare. I Was hoping for some super rare payed skins and having common ones that are craftable. It would take out the boringness of everyone on Naval Action having the exact same colored ships and would make things look more lively. Since I started playing NA I was just thinking about how cool it would look if everyone had different ship colors & names. Just my opinion ofcourse.
  7. Option #3 with the BR would be a great idea, I think it would work very well.
  8. 6v6 capped battles were never in POTBS, you had a max group of 6 to raise hostility by sitting in front of the port. You could also enter enemy ports, much different. In NA 25v25 battles were in because at one time we had our OWN AI fleets consisting of 1st rates and lower (fully crewed) which I believe was 3-6 ships max. Big AI fleets are now gone and we rarely see fights on the open world that are bigger than 6v6. The only time you see 25v25 on open world (rarely) is when a conquest flag is pulled and you will not see them once the conquest flag is taken out of the game. You can say it is stupid to lower the number of battle slots but you will not see them fill, big AI fleets are gone. By keeping 25v25 (which is never going to fill) You keep the following things in game for good Large Lopsided Ganks (one side will always fill due to higher numbers in bigger nations) Revenge Fleets Battle Screen Camping Steam rolling smaller nations on the open world Smaller Nations cannot attack ports Smaller Nations cannot lower hostility levels Free Port & Capital camping of Smaller Nations Theirs really 4 cons to this whole proposal (For some people) Cannot have crazy one sided ganks Cannot have revenge fleets Large Clans may need to split into 2 groups on the open world Large nations cannot steamroll smaller nations on the open world In NA You will need to win battles to raise and lower hostility, I don't think people understand it still. Yes you can attack AI to raise hostility levels (I guess?) But all the larger nation has to do is jump in and defend the AI. Explaining this is doing no good, you will have to see it for yourselves when the new mechanics are added, most don't have any clue about what hostility levels will do.
  9. Open world speed is fine how it is, there is absolutely no need to make it any faster.
  10. Can you elaborate on how this will make the game like POTBS? Also what is your alternate suggestion for small nations to get points for when hostility levels are added ingame? Also ask yourself, how often do you see 25v25 on the open world? It's only when their are flags pulled for a port and port conquest flags are soon to be removed. Other than that almost never see big battles. This removes revenge fleets, ganks, battle screen camping & steamrolling. This is a suggestion, people who vote no should give their alternate ideas as to how smaller nations should get points when hostility levels are added, it would actually help.
  11. I would believe this is why it limits the big clans and nations to go in groups of 6. You should not need to be joined at the hip. Lowering the battle slots would make it better for smaller nations so big ones can't steam roll them. If battle slots were always smaller I believe we wouldn't be having this discussion right now, because none of the revenge fleets and such would exist. You would still have your 25v25 In port battles, the reason this needs to be changed is because when the hostility levels come in how are smaller nations going to flip a port when they cannot match superior nations numbers? I guarantee you people won't like this idea now but they will surely be complaining when only the largest nations can get a ports hostility levels high enough to start a port battle simply because they always have the greater numbers. A small nation is doing battles around a large nations port trying to raise the hostility levels to force a port battle. The large nation shows up and camps the port with their large numbers that the small nation cannot match and there you go the ports hostility levels are back down. This goes the other way too, how will a small nation get their ports hostility levels down versus a large nation when they cannot match their superior numbers? Has anyone asked themselves these questions? Leaving the battle slots at 25 is going to ensure only large nations can decrease hostility levels to prevent an attack on their ports and have the force to steamroll enemy from decreasing their hostility levels. When flags are removed you will seldom see a 25v25 fight on the open world again. I would suggest people look more into this and read the post about hostility levels, many do not seem to understand the consequences of the new port battle mechanics coming. I Bet everyone who voted no don't understand what the new port battle mechanics mean for smaller nations and clans, but you will see when they are implemented why this is needed.
  12. And how would 6 SOLs catch 6 frigates? Everyone is always complaining about revenge fleets, gankers & battle screen campers this eliminates all of that. Truth is people just like to find something to complain about and when someone offers a suggestion they shoot it down. Arguing that big SOL's will get in versus frigates, that doesn't matter they will never catch them. Lowering battle slots from 25 per side to 6 would most definitely go a long way in removing the garbage PvP in game and the revenge battle camping fleets. When you see 15+ ships in a OW battle it's usually only for one side, the other is half of their force. If battle slots were lowered even maybe to 12 that would really change things for the better. And keep in mind flags will be soon gone.

I do say crew are a bit expensive, maybe half the price? 1 Rake can cost a player 30 minutes of time to make the gold for that, it is unnecessary from a game play prospective and it makes the game more of a grind and a chore to play and It adds 0 fun to gameplay. Also some players do buy the game to use all ships, not be stuck in frigates all the time because the grind to buy crew or make med kits is a bit much for people who don't have all day to spend on the game. Crew needs to be cheaper & I do not really see what fun it adds to the game though, iy just adds more grinding which means less players. The less grind and cost to upkeep playing a game you paid for is a lot better in the long run, keeps more players happy. Forcing players out of line ships is not what you want to do, people are going to quit because of that. We should be trying to keep all players, not force them out by making the game a chore. When has more grinding to play a game made more people keep playing or come back to a game? Never.. Adding to the grind to is the opposite of what you should be doing. It's not very attractive for players.
  14. I didn't want to really respond to this but I had too, not every group & guild wants every fight to be a lopsided gank for their side, that's quite untrue. Some guilds/groups would rather leave some of the group to go find another battle so it's not lopsided for their side and the battle will actually be somewhat skill based instead of boring seal clubbing. Also I will fight to the death for 2 minute timers, those who fail to plan ahead before battle will be the only ones who suffer. If you leave port and set sail before the rest of your group does then why would you expect them to magically undock, set sail in 1 click and somehow find out that a battle is taking place far away from the port, I'm sure that is not realistic. Captains would of never known if a ship got attacked back then, they didn't have teamspeak or in-game chat. People need to stay in groups, and not sail so far ahead so that the rest of the group can't catch up or be in port. Plan ahead. If you are a organized fleet/group, the 2 minutes timers are a blessing. I group PvP daily, with 3-10 people. Theirs absolutely no problem with this timer if you are organized, plan ahead & stay grouped. The only people this timer is hurting is the unorganized people who don't plan ahead and get angry when their freinds aren't there to help them because they sailed to far ahead, or left port before the group was ready to go.
  15. I do like the proposed changes. They will be quite interesting. Though the issue I do have is this will create more "grinding" and sort of a time sink effect. We need less of grinding for mods & ships to compete (now crew coming) as well as sailing & PVE. What we need is more mechanics to promote PvP and less grinding / mechanics stopping people from PvPing because of the loss associated with sinking or being capped will now be even worse. Also you will need to sail more because you can't send ships to PvP/PB spots which also creates a lot less PvP. We already see a good number of players are afraid to lose a durability, I don't think adding to that is a good idea imho.
  16. Sounds great, I would like to see a bit shorter battles. At the moment SOL battles take too long, frigates are quite nice at the moment. Also, I think Marines should be made craftable. Remove some of the grind, It's kind of not fair for those who don't spend have a lot of time to farm AI and now with closer range combat they are almost a necessity since a lot of the combat ends up in boarding now with closer range combat.
  17. New Damage model is so boring. Not really any fun in rage boarding 70% of the time or 50m continuous hull bashing. Most of the gameplay is chaining enemy to get close enough to do any damage. Great system for people who have unlimited time to play games. Most of the people going on the realism train don't realize you won't have anyone to battle because not everyone has 15 hours a day to sit behind a computer screen trying to sink a pixel ship.
  18. I Understand that. But no matter who it is that you are trash talking they will respond & will defend themselves until both sides are blue in the face or moderators delete posts. You should expect them to retaliate. I'm sure this thread is not being moderated because the OP's guild started the flame war. If you really wanted this thread to be only focused on recruiting & helping players you wouldn't be bragging about who you have sunk, what ports you've taken, ships you've capped along with trash talking. Anyway this is a guild thread and I should step out of it now. Good luck with your recruiting.
  19. Don't really want to interrupt anything but posting screenshots of battles & mouthing off about said nations is bound start a flame war. Why are you surprised this guild thread has gone off topic? Don't dish it out if you don't want to take it back. But I do understand you love the attention & need it boost your egos. This thread just looks bad, it's quite embarrassing to be honest. I'm not sure why this hasn't been moderated yet. Just looks bad on the forum.
  20. Civil Wars would be awesome. It would add another element to the game to make it more interesting & create more PvP.
  21. This will be an interesting change. Can only hope it doesn't make players more scared to PvP than they already are. I Just hope that doesn't happen, some players hate losing duras & I can only imagine what buying crew & maintaining them is going to add to players not wanting loss in PvP. But one thing this will do is stop players from suicide every time they catch fire and know they are going to sink or just want to use their cheap ship to take out a 1st/2nd rate.
  22. Funny thing is here, a good portion of the people who want the BR system have many hours in PvP, most likely way more than you and are vets. Seems it's mostly newer people to the game that come and say people who want BR system are PVE carebares, when the truth is some of them have done way more PvP than them before the game even came to steam for seatrials.
  23. Um wat? Outmaneuvered? What you need is a fir trinco or reno to lead your gank squad and tag the target you wish to jump, and then a bunch of SOL's & frigs can simply go past the the battle instance to the other side and spawn in front of your target. Wouldn't call that outmaneuvered.
  24. I think if anything is dumbed down it's the current PvP with positional reinforcements. People who like it don't have an ounce of skill and enjoy ganking and surrounding enemy all while having so much fun doing it because any other kind of PvP they would fail at. They don't like real challenging PvP. The same kind of people who would want to play a soccer game with 30 people on their team and 3 on the other, so fun and competitive! Lmao!! I would love to play a game with these people for a few hours, they must be real fun to play with.
