Young
I have started to experience more and more rude players in chat as of late. For example a team ram takes place. Both parties share some fault. One player starts spamming that chat with hate speech. I understand that this is the nature of online gaming but with the increased player base i feel this issue needs to be addressed early to limit the community souring to interaction in game. What are your thoughts Captains?
thomas aagaard
The simple solution would be to add a "mute" function. But I agree that it would be better if the community actually did its best to keep a proper tone.
Bart Smith
Well rule is simple: more players = more bad behavior...sadly. Only hope NA community will be exception.
Young
Well i would like to see the Dev's input in this matter. Would they like to take a hands off approach and say let the community sort it out. Or would they be proactive and say for example make players agree to a terms and conditions in regards to hate speech and defamation in game. I know that is a lofty expectation but given the nature of this game one would think that the community would be more mature and a smaller player base to other online games. Magnum
http://forum.game-labs.net/index.php?/topic/3722-profanity-usage-in-game/ The Dev's have already spoken - they said just use the insult gen. http://wiredstar.com/nainsults/ eg: Thou villainous base-court malt-worm! Aussie_Fox
in this stage of testing, those players need to be removed if they continue to act this way. i'm sure there are plenty of people to take their places waiting. i'm also noticing players being abused for connecting late to a game. people need to understand this is an Alpha and crashes and slow loading times happen. I myself had a background program minimize my game in my last batte and it took me a few minutes to get it back up, but in this time i had strayed pretty far away from the rest of my team. upon returning to the game i was called a coward and a dickhead. not to mention one guy rage quitted. we are all here to learn and help develop a game we will inevitably spend a lot of time in. and people have long memories.
Ned Loe
Add 'report'/flag button under player name.
admin
(angry does not mean rude) you can be angry. We are very involved in thus community and spend a lot of time here. It is like a family. Being an Enlightened Monarchy and running a game on a server provides multiple ways to help rude people reform.
