We no longer accumulate XP, although it is still awarded after each fight and even after a long sail. It would be nice if those who no longer need it for ranking up could find another use for it. How about giving a player Doubloons to match the amount of XP? What if we continued to accumulate XP and it can be redeemed for CMs? I'm thinking as I write this that it would be very interesting if any player, regardless of rank, could redeem XP for doubloons or CMs at any time in their career. An interesting choice between attaining rank or getting badly needed money. Than if you have maxed out ship maybe have it go towards other class ships of that rate? Maybe do a free xp pool you can put towards other ships once you max one out of the class.
