  1. Should review all turrets for this because I’ve found one more the 13” mark 2 is lacking a barbette cap also.
  2. It’s not, your reading the schematics wrong. The belt starts at 11” above the waterline and tapers or 7” below, if it tapered sideways in the diagram you posted it would have sections that are 11,10,9,8,7 but it goes straight from 11” to 8” then to 4” The central main belt is only listing maximum thickness. In the picture I posted it’s badly illustrated but the belt tapers downwards not amidship you end. Tapering belts isn’t a strictly AoN feature, though I will admit is happens most commonly on them. Edit: here’s a much better image to detail the armor layout of HMS Dreadnought:
  3. @SkeksisI haven't found a max for player ships though I did break the game rather hilariously with 68 ships.
  4. I think we should have a mission for a full on battle line, say designed for 5v5 battleships or something like that. Make it feel Epic.
  5. I typically can get 15-30 minutes in before the crash but that’s not enough time to kill a BB in a BC
  6. Honestly it’s the guns that need a rework IRL the best historical armor was 2.4-2.5 times stronger than iron plate and the numbers are based on irons strength. The maximum multiplier is a small faction of historical armor strength. And those penetration values of the Yamato and Iowa’s were done against the best armor of their own nation not wrought iron plate. so that means that ITL Yamato’s 16” belt would have been equal to a 38.4-40” iron belt. And the 25.6” faceplates the thickest armor ever put on a ship would be equal to... 61.44” to 64” of wrought iron armor.
  7. Try a Mark 3 vs. a mark 1 of the next size up on some missions it makes a huge difference.
  8. Secondaries are categorically useless, or damn near so anyways.
  9. The biggest gun is more accurate is a lie. Check the specs some lower sized guns but higher tech ones are better.
  10. Wrong. HMS Dreadnought has a tapered belt and many others did too. As shown in picture below the main belt tapered from 11” to 7” below the waterline. Now it’s not a full height taper but it still tapers.
  11. Two more things. 1. As shown in the picture below the DD bridge and the like doesn't block the firing angles of the torpedoes. 2. Even if the ship can't have barbettes the icon is still select able please fix this. Edit: It actually effects all weapons not just torpedoes.
  12. It's a possible but not expected.
  13. Its the same for different sized gun mounts along with number of gun mounts its perfectly in line with the rest of the game mechanics,
  14. @Fess21The "Wiggle" is timing your movements so your mostly on a straight heading when you're firing and yet are turning back and forth besides. Admittedly its hard to be perfect at this but it greatly helps avoiding enemy shots while maintaining your own accuracy. For maximum dodging watch for the main battery muzzle flashes and then turn oposite of the heading you were on, or any direction if you were going straight.
  15. For those who want to complete it take the gun technology and use the BC with 6x3 9”
  16. Weird my accuracy seems to be on a bit of a bell curve where it slowly gets better to cruising speed then gets progressively worse the faster I go over that.
  17. From what I understand the weight and quality are separate. And it just lists the thickness not your effective thickness.
  18. I think it might be related to how some IRL vehicles need to be going a certain speed to be stable. Though this traditionally doesn’t make sense for ships. Though I could see the advantages of sailing into waves which does require a measure of forward speed.
  19. I think there should be some kind of pre battle formation tool that allows us to control the formation of our ships more exactly. Secondly when a ship is too damaged it should fall not only out of line but also out of the group as it messes up the AI pathing something fierce. This applies for both AI and Player control. Thirdly we should have an option to make our ships sail at the speed of the slowest ship in formation.
  20. You need to paste without formatting. Edit: when you paste just above choose files there will be a paste as plain text button to correct this. Hope it helps and have a good day!
  21. It’s because best accuracy is achieved at cruising speed which is represented by the little square box on the speed control.
