  1. So... if we have say 3 snows and attack a 1st rate in protected zone, then the 1st rate will get no rienforcements due to higher BR? I see a lot of salt incoming :D.
  2. Man you sound salty, it's just way it goes. Entered a battle last night and looked like we had 1 more ship, as battle progressed ended up both sides filling to max and a well fought hard battle for all. I think we all been hammered by a large group of players, but i do like the battles stay open. Gives you opportunity to delay them and hope more people join, nothing wrong with kiting for time :).
  3. Yes i agree some kind of sliding scale for rewards to be better when outmatched by BR, and lower if totally zerging a lower BR enemy would make sense. Not sure how could be done though to be balanced, maybe every 50% over enemy Br lowers reward some way and vice versa.
  4. As the afternoon progressed we did have some big battles that were absent of cutters, lots of good fun had by all. Headless parrot in his lo/wo niagra stacked with carro's was epic. Good show man :). Battle ended up a mexican stand off :D.
  5. Went up to Nassau patrol today and has become a joke, all i see is an army of basic cutters targeting AI fleets. All this has done is discourage others from bothering, I mean there is no PVP mark reward for basic cutters, they have free reps etc. Nassau patrol area is dead, no actual pvp just basic cutter AI farmers. ** Edit - As day progressed we had some epic fights to be fair, well done Headless parrot and his indestructable lo/wo niagra was an epic fight :).
  6. Yes am aware of this, however battles not activating as patrol battle within patrol border. To clarify, battles within patrol zone border not activating as patrol battle type. So no battles adding to mission damage.
  7. Hi Just tried PvE kills and PvP, no damage regsitering to mission in zone at nassau. Tried relog in port but nada.
  8. Congrats in advance for taking the Bahama's, nobody knows which ports to go defend in GB lol. GB at it's best :D.
  9. There will never be as much salt as when Russia lost Cartagena, I heard there was so much it pushed one of the clans all the way to the US. Whatever happens don't think Greg would leave GB. Good luck tomorrow to all
  10. Frigates being faster and more maneuverable than SOL's were more suited to protecting trade routes and fleet escort/scouts. "Following these are the frigates, a widely used and often misunderstood term. Officially, since the 1750’s, it meant any ship of 28 to 48 guns but, in practice, it could refer to a ship with as few as 20 guns. These were the pursuit ships, tasked with hunting down enemy convoys, merchant fleets, and lone warships." " Below frigates were post ships, of 20-26 guns, essentially small frigates. These were not intended for fleet actions, or even single ship actions, but protected shipping lanes. " https://www.warhistoryonline.com/napoleon/many-types-ships-napoleonic-wars-m.html
  11. Well when trading ports they could do that already, if not already happening. Anyway was just trying to look for a way to close this loophole, but tbh i don't really care. More that cracks/exploits appear in a game the more a game dies, have seen it numerous times in many games. Also as with other games all players have their own agenda, not caring for game as a whole but more about their personal pixel pile. Suggestion was there for devs to look at, wouldn't aid me as i find RvR as interesting as gauging my eyes out with a spoon. Battles are fun WHEN they happen, but man the build up and getting there is like watching paint dry. I just hope the devs have a vision and stick to what they envisage, i'll go try find people to sink and carry on without the meta gaming. Herman out
  12. Trading ports wouldn't give PvP marks, as no combat involved. PvP marks would be awarded for kills/assists in port battles, outside in OW would revert to combat marks only Trading ports would not award PvP marks (no combat), so the 2 issues are not connected.
  13. Unlike the current tested and failed mechanic :). Before was Vic Marks for people in PB's unless was before my time you speak about, and Vic marks are now only to highest 3 placed nations. Also only to those that have participated in a PB. This is about PvP marks and possible solution to stop alt farming, trading ports wouldn't get the PvP marks as nobody sunk = no combat. I was suggesting that in port battles PvP marks are awarded as are now in open world, and in open world PvP goes back to just combat marks. Nobody could have enough alts to attack and defend a port :).
  14. Perhaps a solution to all this would be to award PvP marks ONLY in port battles, making them a RvR reward for sinking enemy within a port battle.
  15. Perhaps a solution to all this would be to award PvP marks ONLY in port battles, making them a RvR reward for sinking enemy within a port battle. Would encourage more activity to defend/attack ports, and would instantly stop all this alt farming in one hammerblow. This way even nations out of reach of the top 3 positions for the Vic marks would be able to get something not available outside RvR. Not something that would benefit myself doing this, but it would stop all this in one easy move.
  16. I know mate, me also but it would stop all this farming. Would be a good reason to get back into RvR also :).

  18. Well as far as i'm concerned is all magic beans anyway (pixels), but does stick in throat a bit when you get PvP marks as you can within the games spirit.
  19. I guess with PvP marks being worth so much atm is bound to happen, but demoting the alt and not the other avatar involved in battles makes no sense. People will just use low rank alts to hoover up the PvP marks with little to no risk to main avatar. At least if you demote all ava's involved it becomes somewhat harder to re-stage battles etc if main ava/2nd/3rd alt are also affected. Not sure the devs will be able to stop farming totally, but people knowing the lower rank alt will get all the punishment isn't really a problem to those doing it. Needs to be all ava's involved in staged battles demoted. PS: it was within 10 minutes, guess could all be trade ships but still would be next to impossible to achieve imo.
  20. Glad someone else saw it, i guess he could have taken 3 traders in that time if he had luck of the gods. Probably not though :D.
  21. A French mid level player Bordeaux amazingly managed to kill 3 people within 10 minutes .... at 2 different ports just before downtime. Is logged on combat news, and sure looks fishy as hell. If as i suspect this is alt farming then demoting the low rank alt will do nothing, you need to start demoting all captains involved in the battles farming pvp mark. otherwise is pointless exercise. Apologies if this was kosha kills, but can't see how this would be possible in such a low time frame, Herman
  22. When someone is alt farming both avatars should be demoted that are involved in the battle. Just a heads up for the devs, just before downtime Bordeaux (a mid level French ship captain) managed to "kill" 3 people at 2 different ports within 10 minutes.... It just isn't possible to do that, 2 at one port and 1 at 2nd (Aves and Tumbado ). Demote All the alts and main ava's involved, people are just using alts to get the kills so doesn't matter a hoot if the low rank alt gets punished.
  23. Sales of forged papers increase after tactical disaster at Haulover.
