    Sir, As you have no doubt been informed, on many an occasion (often over the exchange of cannon fire) the British presence in the area has been deemed intolerable to French interests and those of our allies, the Swedes. That you have been again engaged many times after failing to follow the instructions provided during these events speaks poorly of you and yours. Quite simply: If the British do not sail *east* of Haiti, they will not be met with gunfire. If you choose, however, to continue to cross this line of demarcation, we will continue to engage you every time we see you. We will continue sinking West Indies Squadron vessels, and we will continue to destroy you in detail. The call is yours to make. I cannot make it any clearer to you. However, I personally hope you continue to sail our way in violation and contravention of the above. I do enjoy a target rich environment. Warmest Regards, The Black Knight

    Orders of priority, man. A handful of bad apples does not negate that a significant number of folks use the trade system without abuse daily. You disable trading and you pretty much stymie the custom crafting scene, especially for those traders who prefer to deal in items other than gold. Or you kick the guys who help their newer or junior guys by giving them ships and gold and such. That there's what, three or four guys who you've specifically pointed out as abusing the system versus hundreds, if not thousands using it properly speaks volumes. Anecdotally- until this thread came about, I'd not yeard of anyone pulling these shenanigans. I spend a lot of time in this game, on PVP2. So, your mileage may vary.

    Naw, people should just be smarter about who they trade with. Name and shame at will- that'll help. Don't try and convince the devs to bugger the rest of us because you don't like the Dev's stance on focusing on other more important topics as opposed to statiscial outliers and bad apples.

    Oh, we were all guns on the Brits, too. You and yours were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Let's put it into perspective: there was a port battle immediately previous in that area. We had been killing a whole raft of Brits. I think our last, admittedly, fuzzy count was six Brit third rates, a couple of constitutions, four-five Trincomolees and a whole mess of other, smaller frigates. Our final battle of the night can be found on Reddit- I need to talk to OP about taking screengrabs after everyone exits the battle. To say we weren't killing the Brits is absurd. Now- regarding the extortion thing- Renown is our window-licking SPED. God love him, because otherwise, only his really loud, talkative cat does. To top it off, you forgot to "tab". So as far as he knew, you ignored him. So, silly of you to come post here, and even sillier to accuse us of not doing precisely what we did from 2000-0200EST.

    Well, good on you to show up. I wasn't there; I was operating down south, but it sounded like everyone had a good time of things. That's the best part of all of this- folks are having fun. Best of luck to you, out there, and should we cross paths, I'll be sure to fling a few cannonballs your way.

    Brucy, There are individuals on your side who we like and admire. We tried to work with you guys. There were some things that rubbed us wrong, undoubtedly. Bottom line, though, is this - we decided to change to the French when it became clear we weren't having *fun* doing what we were doing. I didn't pay $40 to play Power Tower Attack: the Age of Sail edition. Does that change my respect for you as an individual? Not in the slightest. I still think you're a pretty amusing and generally good dude. But you guys are playing a different game than what we wanted to play, and this is where we've found ourselves. That said, I look forward to seeing you guys out there on the other end. I think I can safely say that I, in particular, look forward to the challenge.

    Can confirm. Went hunting Americans. Fought Americans. They grabbed bigger ships. Dipped back into harbor with their bigger ships and I got tagged by their Brit pals who came to save they day. At least they gave us a fight.

    Hey Brits, are you sure you want this man in charge of anything? I mean, his crazy rants and general shenanigans plus his stunning lack of foreign policy qualifications would concern me.
