  1. I'm not sure there's much point in me weighing in here. The admin pretty much concluded this in a satisfactory manner. Of course, suspected alts should be F11-reported for moderators to investigate, but this blame-game and throwing about accusations that goes in in this tribunal serves no purpose other than to create unrest amd discord in the community. I would not be baffled if people using alts to do what this tribunal is about has occured once or twice. But I will say this, the british are not used to having their front line practically on top of their grinding area. This means that pve-players and players with little tactical knowledge, or simply noobs, will be at the front line making calls that affect other players. Playing for the danes I have had this exact thing happen to me many times. I have been dragged into hopeless or tactically unsound battles against both AI fleets and enemy players, by allied players ranging from kadet to flag kaptajn. There are even a couple of players who have done this to me multiple times. Still, I have no suspicion that they are actually working against my nation. In all likelihood they are just more eager to see big battles, less concerned with loosing their ship, and more hungry for battle and XP than what I am. If this happens a lot in the danish nation, it stands to reason that it should happen at least a few times in GB as well, who has a much larger player base and conversely more noobs and inexperienced pvpers as well. Also, having played fleets in danish waters with moat of the russian players at one time or another, I find it not surprising at all if a belle poule or basic cutter was able to sail through the battle without taking that much damage. Most experienced fleet hunters in the danish nation knows that in a brawl you do not waste your broadsides on a basic cutter, rennomee or belle poule, as you are more than likely to have your cannonballs hit the water or bounce, and those ships do not fire the moat potent broadsides back at you.
  2. Make XP and Gold gains BR dependent. So if you gank a player that is significantly lower level than you and alone, you get practically no XP/gold for winning, if you fight an equal or better rated enemy you get lots of XP even if you loose and more if you win.
  3. That statement was specific to the "protected" zone around a capital. There are lots of water around your capital even outside that zone. Besides the statement from the developers was made after the incidents tom Brok refers to. Furthermore the specific battle he mentions, in which I was the one being tagged, and Caldwell ran from, happened a stone's throw from the harbour of Port Morant. My 3rd rate got stuck in the shallows as I was trying to enter port and a swarm of british players seized the opportunity only to be soundly beaten.
  4. It's not to protect the new players. According to the complaints that lead to this, it is for the protection of experienced players from being dragged into battle by brave new players. The british admirals don't want scratches to their shiny new ships. Maybe they construct their Victorys in fir wood?
  5. I would be happy to do so, in a more appropriately placed topic. However since you insist I will provide my most obvious objection. With the proposed mechanics change you can only drag the single targeted player into combat. So in a PB fleet any interceptors would be defensively tagged before they got within range of the conquest flag. And even if they closed the range, the flagcarrier would just refuse to join combat and any interceptors could only conceivably intercept the number of ships they had the numbers to 1v1. In general people would also never allow themselves to be dragged into a fight, they would rather wait till the battle started to see if they wanted to reinforce. Nobody would ever have any idea how many ships would be joining on either side when the battle started, and teammates would often be left alone in unwinnable fights expecting reinforcements and getting none. There would be a lot less fleet battles on this server and only 1v1's.Please create a topic in an appropriate forum to hear the rest of my objections.
  6. Let us perhaps not discuss mechanics changes and suggestions in the tribunal. This is not the place for that. I still want to say though, that the proposed change would be a terrible idea. It would take all tactics and skill out of screening and intercepting actions and make numbers the only thing that matters. It would be truly game breaking for smaller nations and clans.
  7. I think nobody has claimed anything about your personal presence in Jeremie. 2 running SLRN players are hardly a forceful representation of SLRN outside Port Morant tho. The rest of your forces (or a significant portion thereof) were indeed hiding in Jeremie I presume? So what's your complaint? Yeah. It was roughly even when you left... But the first guy to turn sails and run has a tendency to start a domino, and after the SLRN escaped the rest of the brits were left to either sunk or barely get away, while Denmark didn't loose a single player ship. Weren't you just saying you didn't like to fight when your numbers were overkill?
  8. May I suggest setting an alarm to remind you to move the mouse every 25 minutes?
  9. It is interesting that as soon as the french declared war on Britain, DRUNK switched to harassing French forces rather than Danish. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfidy (If it was not clear enough, I am accusing you of perfidy and sailing under a false flag - acting on behalf of the British and not the Swedish Crown)
  10. I've had the same thing happening to me multiple times while trying to capture ships, that the ship was sunk by other players in the instance. By the way AI does this all the time too. They will sink a ship while you are boarding 10 out of 10 times if they have enough firepower and you don't block their line of fire. While I presume the specific instances that you are reporting contain behaviour that warrants reporting, generally speaking the specific behaviour of sinking a ship that others are boarding is no reason to report or be angry. Whenever this happens to me, which is almost every day playing for denmark-norway, I can understand the other players' perspectives. While a simple explanation can be that if you are in a smaller ship capturing a larger one, other players may think that it is actually the AI pulling you and be trying to save you. This is however not usually a viable excuse. But boarding a 3rd rate takes quite some time even after graping a lot. If you are in a fleet instance it is not entirely polite to make other players wait around for 3-10 minutes after the battle should have been over, for you to capture yourself a 3rd rate. At the very least this would have to be agreed upon at the beginning of the fight, and then only a request to be acknowledged if you were the ones initiating the feet instance, and not the other players. They would in the other case have the prerogative to decide how the fight should progress. By capturing a ship you may also prevent other players in the battle from getting enough shots at that ship to get an assist out of it, which is not entirely polite either. But most particularly it is the issue of having them wait around for you to capture a ship - which you could have done in any mission rather than with other players around - and also the delaying of the fleet respawning for everyone to have another go at it. Whenever I play a fleet with only members of my own clan, I can always agree with them beforehand to capture one or more of the ships. This can also be arranged with other friendly clans, if english is a common language. But whenever you are sitting there capturing a ship when every other enemy ship is sunk, it is understandable that the other players want to sink the ship and get it over with rather than wait around doing nothing.
  11. Feel free to give us Port Antonio, Carlisle, Pedro Cay and any other ports you have without timers. We will take good care of them.
  12. They told you the situation. They were sailing with a (probably RL) friend from another nation. From how it appears, the pyrate didn't attack, disrupt or bother you or any other dane. Why not leave it alone when you were explained the situation? They shouldn't have fired their guns at you, but you should have been more respectful as well.
